This past week has been filled with plenty of surprises as leaks and reveals have come out the woodworks, but the Electronic Entertainment Expo is finally upon us this Monday with a day full of press conferences by the largest game companies in the industry. Cecily (Sign), Arielle (Master Spockanort), and Sophearum (Zephyr) will be reporting news and impressions live from E3 2015 again this year, and our wonderful staff including Geir (Gexus), Joey (Chaser), Katie (Taochan), and Josh (Narukami) will be manning the battle stations at our headquarters.
Will Kindom Hearts 3 make its grand reappearance this year? Who knows what lies in store for us this E3, but stick with us as we deliver information right from the showroom floor!

Whoa, you can play 360 games on X1. I was not expecting that. MS is really stepping up their game.

That Recon looked like a Microsoft version of KNACK. The rest of the content has not captured my attention either.
I started out with no expectations, so that's mostly why lol. What pretty much sold me is the Xbone going backwards compatible, and then the game Recore that got announced. It looks so cool. (Plus yay for female protags <3). Gigantic also looks adorable. Everything else was kinda eh. Beyond Eyes also just looks super artistic.
The EA Access bit was boring though xD Other than that I agree.
Oh yeah, no doubt about that. But that's also because I don't really do EA (except for Dragon Age, which I believe is EA?)

Man Tomb Raider looked really good. Too bad I don`t have the devices to play it with it, and I am not going to buy X1, nah ah. I do wonder how long the deal with Microsoft is gonna last?

And Microsft ended with Gears 4. Not a bad conference I guess. backwards compatibilty was probably the best surprise actually imo... Rare's new game looks kinda cool, but I can bet a lot of people are disappointed that it wasn't Banjo xD EA's segment was just awful though lmao.

Microsoft did a lot better of a conference then I expected, especially since I only watched in case KH or FF got shown off. So thinking about getting an Xbone now. Really excited to see more of Recore in the future.
Kind of hope this means Sony may rethink Playstation Now. Both the Xbone and Wii U are backwards compatible. Maybe this means this trend of getting rid of backwards compatibility will finally be dead.

BC, EA Acess, Rare Replay, Gears 1 remaster, basically the theme of the show was "please buy all of our old games again!".

Sony's conference is...9pm Eastern time right? Juuust a little late in the day for me to care about watching it live, so I'll just see their news tomorrow.
Nice hearing the Xbox One is now backwards compatible. Still don't care about the Xbox but it's still nice to hear.

Yep. I have a PS3, but if the PS4 became backwards-compatible it'd make me want to buy a PS4 sooner.

Yeah. Though I've kept my PS2 I haven't used it since I got my PS3. What are the chances of Sony announcing backwards compatibility? If they did as soon as it became available I would get rid of both my consoles.... Though I'm leaning more to keeping the PS3 anyway once I'm getting a PS4...

I absolutely have my fingers crossed that the PS4 follows suit with the backwards compatibility. I think doing so is an important part to their continued edge in the "console war," however things like the confirmed release of the PS4 Uncharted trilogy as well as my suspicion of a future KH 1.5/2.5 PS4 bundle give me reason to believe that it is unlikely.

Well, the remasters will still exist for those who want the upgrade, but it's still possible. After all, even though the Xbox One is getting 360 support, they're still remastering the first Gears game.

The way I understand it is there's some tech hurdles to make PS4 truely backwards compat. Mainly the special chip the PS3 uses.
But if they can overcome that, I'll be really happy; I've been considering getting a PS3 myself even tho my brother is letting me use his in case he wants it back. But if I don't have to (since I also want a PS4) I'll be in heaven. ^^

Okay, now that Mirrors Edge has been shown, I don`t really have any more interest for EA show. If I understood correctly, are they trying to make it as open-world like game?

I'm not really sure if it's open-world or not. But yeah I agree that unless they pull out some other surprise, they should be close to done lol.

The xbone elite controller and hololens are the only things that really caught my eye tbh, I missed EA and I'm about to tune into the Ubi conference. Hope it ain't broken.

Yeah so far its really just been Tomb Raider, which I mean the whole exclusivity of it kind of dampens the mood, and Mass Effect are the only things anyone has shown today that I have cared about. And Mass Effect was a super short teaser. All the Smash news yesterday was way better for me so far ha. Though, I was really waiting for Sony, Nintendo, and Square. So here is hoping.

Yeah I did freak out at the FF7 remake ha. Partially because I couldn't tell what it was at first. Also that new Arkham Knight footage was amazing, I feel like watching Joker getting cremated is just like saying hey is dead and not the Arkham Knight :P

I hope that FF Explorers(the North American release date of it), Bravely Second's North American release date and Kingdom Hearts 3 's date get announced at E3. That'd be amazing.

Nomura directing the FF7 remake (on top of KH3 and all of the KH spinoffs) helps explain why he left Final Fantasy XV, but all of the developments around XV still kind of make me sad about it. :(

I'm looking forward for The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3 and of course Final Fantasy VII. Too bad there wasn't any news about the PS4 getting backwards compatibility with the PS3 games.
I wonder what announcements Nintendo and Square Enix are going to make in their conferences. For Nintendo, I hope they announce some news about Fire Emblem if and the Fire Emblem and SMT crossover. For Square Enix, KH3 please. I will be happy with a promotional artwork for the game or something.

Any word about FF VII combat? Will be fun to see how much people will hate if they make it action based and just let you switch characters like Versus did. Personally that would make the game pretty much perfect for me though :) just add some easter eggs with Genesis and Angeal as well, maybe a extra difficult optional boss with Genesis would be cool.
I just hope the gameplay is much better then the original, more like Persona 3&4 would be appreciated by me or even the Q SotL game though I'm not sure how much that would fit in FF but it is my favorite turned based system.
Story gonna be amazing to see again no matter what though and with the new graphics and voices it will just be amazing.

The Final Fantasy 7 remake and Uncharted 4 mission stole the show last night.
As for today, I'm hoping for a new Paper Mario from Nintendo (that goes back to the style of the first two games) and of course KH3 and Just Cause 3 from Square. We'll see!

I really, really hope that we would see even an tiny glimpse about KHIII, or get a comment from Nomura about it, but only one hour... man I don`t think we will be getting anything about III... In the other hand, FFVII remake and Shenmue III were announced, so maybe anything is possible at this point.

I'm 100% certain this is a fake. There was no event in burbank and trailers aren't covered in "Property of Disney" watermarks. Not to mention that's a terrible Riku impression. In fact, you can see the light for the power on/off switch on the laptop they are using.

Ahh, all right. For some reason I thought it was Young Xehanort talking or something alone those lines. Well, maybe this is a good time to take pain killers and eat something before Square`s shows.
And, I just kinda realized how much power KH has over me. Some people were crying when the FFVII remake was announced, and I was acting like a dam fanboy when that happend. But what does KH do? Even if I only heard a voice(well the that bit is fake, but I belived it was true for a second), and my whole body started to shake like hell. Also my heart started raising ans I almost could feel something wet in my eyes etc.. Dam, it always nice to get that glimpse how much you can love a gaming series. :)
Well, off to take some pain killers.

true i want to believe but i need facts before fiction anyway i have a feeling that that it either come late 2016 or early to mid 2017 before ff7 remake anyway we couple mintues and hours until the sqaure enix confernce starts

I'm 100% certain this is a fake. There was no event in burbank and trailers aren't covered in "Property of Disney" watermarks. Not to mention that's a terrible Riku impression. In fact, you can see the light for the power on/off switch on the laptop they are using.
That Xehanort impression was great, though.

Don't worry about that, most of the videos will get online almost instantaneously, and some sites (like Gamespot) seem to be hosting the whole streams archived on their sites. If you can find a good archive stream (and hide any comment threads and related links) you might be able to watch with just as much surprise as a live viewer!

Yeah...I mean basically by limiting it to games in just the next year it made it less interesting. I mean most we already knew I guess. My favorite thing was the crossover between Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario because for real that came out of nowhere to me. Even though its just reusing a lot from Sticker Star and Dream Team obviously...I love both of those series though so yeah.
Also, is it sad the fact that you can become Wii Fit Trainer makes me want Mario Maker more? :P

I'm not sure about Sora's clothes, but maybe they'll grow on me. I also hope they won't go overboard with all the abilities and gimmicks, I want block&dodge to still be the way to go with at least some bosses. But overall I'm just… really really hyped.
Also hey, what's that keyblade stuck on the wall? Looks crazy familiar but I just can't figure it out.

No, it's the usual procedure at a big event like this. Especially with hundreds of guests flooding the site as well as more than 100 members actively posting at once the server simply cannot handle so many requests in this short time.
It's also why I tend to wait one or two days until the big theorizing and stuff comes around, as long posts are too easily lost with an unstable server.

One thing is definite though now: The question where Xehanort got/found the Goat-Keyblade can be put to rest.
Now it would be really interesting to know what Xehanort's first, very own Keyblade was since the Goat-Keyblade seems to be originally a wall decoration in Land of Departure? If that scene IS in LoD of course.

I've got to say, looking at it again, I think Command Styles, Dual Wielding, and Traditional Summons have been completely replaced with Keyblade Transformations and Attraction Flow :/
Though of course it is still far too soon to tell.
It looks like the diversity in attacks and magic that was the command deck is gone too. As excited as I was, looking at it for a 4th time, I'm not sure what I feel lol

Square Enix trolled us twice in a row but after seeing the Kh3 trailer I'm not even mad. Not only was the gameplay amazing but Tangled is my favorite Disney movie of all time, and the world of it they showed looked massive and there seems to be a whole bunch of awesome places to explore!

Most of that world footage was NOT of Tangled, however, from a new Hercules world. Notice the pillars and moss, and Sora wearing his old outfit up until Rock Titan. It is only when he's seen outside the tower (with the most beautiful grass) that he's in his new outfit, so one should assume we're going to Olympus first if this trailer is anything to go by. (Which of course is never a sure thing.)
That was fucking beautiful. Goddamn. The graphic style for worlds is everything I could've asked for, and shit, that Olympus world is HUGE! Talk about GOING THE DISTANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sora's gonna go from ZERO TO HERO IN THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

Another thing notable about Sora's new duds is that they a) have no more X (Recusant's sigil) on them and b) sport way less unnecessary belts and zippers, lol.
Seeing that though, I'm now really eager to see characters other than Sora, Donald and Goofy with new duds and the new graphic style.
The few glimpses of Young Xehanort and Eraqus were amazing.

That line was so bad ass and I'm really glad they picked Tangled over Frozen as their first CGI movie world even if they may or may not include that later as well.

I'm really excited for a more open world. I love running around and exploring in games, and I always loved the bright and colorful atmosphere of Kingdom Hearts. I got super excited when they showed Sora jumping off the cliff!

Yeah so I couldn't tell that most of that gameplay was actually Olympus Coliseum because of how awful the quality was at first. It's definitely the most interesting take on the world already since KH2...assuming it either is Mount Olympus or its an area that leads to it or something.
Also, everyone has said all the good things I feel, so one not so good thing I couldn't help notice is Donald and Goofy like barely moved or were non-existent during 90% of the combat. I guess they haven't really programmed them much yet? They still have a while to go...

What I also liked it that the scale of the worlds seemed much bigger. With an exception or two (such as Pride Lands,) I always felt like SDG dominated the space in the world they were in so it's nice to see them appear smaller in the environment.

After watching it a few times, I realized that Xehanort and Eraqus had really weird noses and super round faces? They really need to fix that before the game comes out. Nomura designs are all about the sharp edges ... they won't work if everybody looks like Thomas the Train Engine.

Has anyone been able to take a closer look on the chess pieces they are using in the board. One of the pieces looks awfully like Vanitas Void Gear keyblades keychain. I just loved the chess game part with Xehanort and Eraqus. Amazing job Sqaure, amazing job Nomura, and everybody in the KHIII team.

From what I've seen of KH3, it's beautiful. The world, the Heartless, the moves, the keyblades... I just have to get used to the human models. Eraqus, Xehanort and Sora look so different. That's Unreal for ya.
But that magic that was used... it looks like it's Aero? But the CoM/BBS version. And new Trinity moves, always good to have those. Though it seems like some characters have similar moves. Interesting

Sony should just update PS4 and make it backwards compatible with PS3 games like Microsoft just did with Xbox. Also, if 3D HD is happening, I could see it being announced at Gamescom

I still think the models are not final. As was seen in Soras movement, this game still has long way, an we won`t be seeing a release date in long time, at least that is what think.

Tangled is such a bad movie :/ I'm also not a fan of all the Disneyland attractions being used as attacks :/
All film is subjective but I have to strongly disagree with that. It's a way better movie then Frozen and one of Disney's best films of the current generation. but to get back on topic, the Disneyland attractions look awesome and well implemented. I was a little worried about how they were going to approach that but this looks extremely promising and can't wait to see more.
And i guess its pretty obvious that this wil be a 2017 release date. We have to wait longer unfortunately but after seeing this gameplay, how open the world is, how awesome the combat looks, and the shader looking well fitting for the game, I can definitely for the final product if its gonna be better then this.
I'm also disappointed about no DDD remix bundle fwith 1.5+2.5 for the PS4/Xbox but maybe we'll have to wait until D23 for that. Which also makes me more excited because we get to see more KH3.

So I adore Sora's new outfit. It's like a more mature version of his Dream Drop clothes (without the X thankfully). The gameplay and visuals look incredible too

One thing I do have to say, Sora's new outfit totally rocks. :) A lot less "busy" then the KH2 one. Now to wait until d23 or a later date for Riku's new look, and Kairi's. ;-; The characters look so beautiful in Unreal Engine 4.
I think I agree though, that's definitely Drake Bell as Young Eraqus.

My apologies for repeating this, but I really hope that faces are more sharper in the final version. I quite like the sharp details the characters have.
I was really surprised we got this much footage. I would have been satisfied even with the Young Xehanort and Eraqus scene.

Imagine Xemnas throwing skyscrapers in such an environment, lol.
Or even better, Radiant Garden restored to the beauty that it was during BBS times. The fountain court or the outer gardens would look absolutely gorgeous.
Bonus points if one gets access to freely explore both the whole city and Ansem the Wise's restored castle.
That being said, I'm also looking forward to how polished some staple attacks/moves will look with that engine.
Ragnarok, Ars Arcanum, Sonic Blade, Riku's Dark Aura, Roxas' Event Horizon, Ventus' Wingblade, Terra's Ultima Cannon, Aqua's Lightbloom et cetera et cetera.

I don't like Tangled at all, but I can bear through it. They've had worlds for movies I didn't care for before, like the Tron sequel.
I understand what you mean. I can barely stand Frozen as a movie at this point but as a world? I'd be more hen happy since the I do love the characters and the worlds it still would be an amazing world to go through. And judging by the trailer, all the worlds have potential to be huge and open world; which might be more platforming and exploration, something I've been dreaming that bring back.
Also I hope the Disney attraction don't replace the summons of actual Disney characters. That aspect made up for the lack of interaction between Disney characters and Disney characters being in other worlds besides there own.

I still think the models are not final. As was seen in Soras movement, this game still has long way, an we won`t be seeing a release date in long time, at least that is what think.

Could you even imagine if the people who wanted the game this year or even last year got their wish? I definitely foresaw this. I was so excited watching the trailer, but after downloading it and analyzing it, I hate to admit it, but I'm disappointed in the combat so far. It looks inferior to even BBS at this point in time. Hopefully the D23 build is on another level. But still, all in all, good times :)
Also, I'm sure the graphics are a result of the Kingdom Shader, and the Tangled universe. If it were a 2D film, or even another 3D film that isn't Brave or Fr**** (Which all have similar art styles) I'm sure it would and will look different.

It's way too early for something like that though.
Considering from what we saw, I'd say that if we're really lucky it'll be a Christmas 2016 release, but I tend more to believe that it will be summer or autumn 2017.
There isn't really much to reveal on Sora's "part" as we already know he will be on a wild goose chase looking for that "Key to Return Hearts" without even knowing what exactly it is.
Those are simply gorgeous, look at how detailed Sora's fingers are and Xehanort's eyes are really shiny.
But damnit, Xehanort has an evil/condescening stare even when he's still half a kid.

I'm just hoping they turn the character faces back to artwork. It seems to out of place for me. Literally every other game had artwork around the hp bar

My god. If Sora is this fast and strong, imagine the bosses. If the AI is as good as Nomura promises, the bosses will be terrifying. If Sephiroth makes an return, well... III version will be the hardest in the series I presume.

HOLY KEYBLADE, the Flowmotion sounds there were so obvious! We got Flowmotion in those gorgeous huge worlds with dem graphics, imagine the possibilities. Flowmotion confirmed! And also, that was the animation and sound for the Aero spell, Aero confirmed lol
And Tangled is pretty much confirmed, and I'm so glad it's not Frozen. Tangled we really enjoyable and could be real fun, both for exploration and for sightseeing. And the characters are unique and very funny, will be refreshingly fun to see our characters interact with them~
Sora wears black and red clothes this time, again! Black and red, huh? It's interesting how he got a darker design. Darn, he looks rather... mature. And so serious, this time... and reliable, like a true hero. Though something about his hair bothers me *shrugs* And the shirt.................. but these are just details, I'm sure they will make all the models shine [strike]bright like a diamond[/strike] in the end. The design still needs work after all, it seems unfinished, it most probably is, and so are his movements, not quite fluid yet, but they got time to fix everything until we get the masterpiece released~
The transformations looked SICK, I don't know how I will adapt to that!! I'm scared of not liking them, it all feels too much 'weapon' and too little 'keyblade' for me

I'm not quite sure what you mean? This is a real trailer. They show off plot points and work-in-progress gameplay as well as three fully realised and developed worlds.

Impressive. I like the new outfit, however I think in some cases it still looks WIP. In some scenes it looks slightly low res (textures etc.) compared to the environment. Or perhaps that's the design they're aiming for.

I'm going to take a guess here... Unchained this year.... DDD Remix next year (possibly) and KH3 in 2017. It would keep with the 'one game a year' thing that they wanted to do... It is important for DDD to be released before KH3... so I'd take a bet that will be next year.

I don't like Sora's new outfit as much as the one in KH2, but it's still nice. Did they say something about Frozen not being in KH3? I've seen people saying things along those lines on several sites. It would be a shame if it isn't. The snow environments would look awesome in this.
Loving everything I've seen. I hope they find a way to shove a giant Ursula boss battle in this somehow, maybe Maleficent summons her or something. Actually being able to have something similar to the movie would be awesome.

Well, I haven't played DDD and I'm not forking out money for one game for one small console. A lot of people will go into KH3 not having played DDD and will know nothing about it. The same could be said about what was the point of porting BBS to PS3 when it was already on PSP. I think it is important to get all of these games on the same console, which I'm sure was something Square Enix wanted to do, right?
I think we will see it at some point... but it has to be before KH3 is released. Heck both could come out in the same year. If I have to wait another two years for KH3 I will do.. I'd rather have a great game over one that was finished in a rush.

also, for those speculating about drake bell being young eraqus, drake bell is known to be a huge Disney fan. Like he goes to Disneyland once a week so I wouldn't be surprised at all if they contacted him or he jumped on the opportunity when he heard about the game.

That did seem like a new voice for master xehanort but I agree it's most likely fake. I'd be shocked if they had enough English va for a story trailer at this point. Especially with the state of gameplay we saw today.

How did you debunk it? It has all the signs of being a fake except for having va. These fake offscreen things are normally fake but don't have VA because that's the hardest thing to fake.

I'm sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while, but how was this video debunked exactly? It looks quite real to me, I dont recognize the Simple and Clean or the dialogue...the only thing is what event was held at Burbank?

The dialogue has got me stumped too, there was one event in Burbank six months ago but it didn't have all that. Otherwise, I don't think it's real but it's got someone doing a killer Xehanort voice.
The music is the orchestrated version of the song which has been in almost every KH trailer.

Not necessarily - I know people on YouTube who got iced for copyright infringement for making AMVs, yet it says they closed down their own account.
A few people on GameFaqs downloaded the video before it was taken down, and they may reupload it again. If it gets taken down again, I think we can assume it's legit.

Since its offscreen footage, the user would be contacted to take it down first since the bots wouldn't pick it up.
also, it makes perfect sense to have a date for embargoed press. It could be a very loose date that they aren't confident enough in sharing with the public as it could end up resulting in a delay which is always bad press.

I just can't get behind the release date thing after being told that it's "now in development" earlier, which leads me to believe it's definitely fake. If they had the date down to the month, I'm pretty sure they'd let the fans know. Winter 2016 is a long ways off still. To the point there's no way they could be sure they can get it out then.

I just can't get behind the release date thing after being told that it's "now in development" earlier, which leads me to believe it's definitely fake. If they had the date down to the month, I'm pretty sure they'd let the fans know. The only thing that was even convincing about it was the voice over and maybe the really rough footage since he was trying to hide it (a small voice said no recording allowed near the end). They both sounded like legit KH voice actors, and the dialogue from what I could make out, wasn't from and Kingdom Hearts game to date. I still wouldn't take it being taken down to mean anything though guys.
If anything it's for the best to avoid another scandal, like with the Mulan world. Though this one was a lot more convincing. Also, big industry names do get invited to small closed events and learn things like release dates far ahead of the official public statement. So even though I believe it to be fake, it's definitely not unheard of. Geoff Keighly comes to mind, as he knows many things that are on the horizon that won't even be announced until next year and beyond.

No way. They would have announced a release date to the public if it was coming out this year. The gameplay would already be out of beta if it was this year, and this trailer looks like pre-alpha. Also AAA games need to be completed a couple months in advance which means they would have at max three to four months left to complete the game. I would be legitimately shocked if this came out before summer 2016.

I like that they had Donald and Goofy disappear when you're navigating the terrain. It would have been silly to have them pinging around in Flowmotion but it keeps them around for combat. This is the oldest trick in the RPG book, someone should have thought of this years ago!
The combat looks less inherently Kingdom Hearts and more Dynasty Warriors, which is a good thing. The more KH moved towards flashy, area attacks, the more damage it did to its original, slow-speed tactical system. Best to shift gears entirely over to a system that's familiar with flashy group attacks and pick up its tactical gameplay rather than try to thread an SUV through the eye of a needle.

Agreed. Step away from the [strike]shounen[/strike] flashy SE. I just hope the transformations aren't forced like the command styles in BBS. That really interrupts the flow of battle and irritates me greatly. =_=

Meh, I kind of felt the opposite. I guess I'm just worried about Sora being ridiculously OP in comparison to his party members like in KH2. I mean I can live with Donald and Goofy not having Flowmotion, but they should be able to keep up with Sora and actually fight competently, etc.

I really enjoyed the field dialogue in FFXV. I thought it added some depth to Noctis and the co.'s relationship and showed that they're really close. Its something I wish they add in KH3 since it would fit the friendship theme of the series.
They could probably do something like the skits from the Tales of series.

Anyone able to explain why the disney logos are different in the leaked trailer and the real e3 trailer. That's definitely the biggest sign it's fake, but I want a reason to believe.

Knowing Square, any announcement of DDD HD or a PS4 bundle will come at a completely random time, like how they announced Deus Ex and Just Cause 3. No prior hype or preparation, just at 2pm on a Wednesday like "Hey guys, guess what?" or a leak like how FFX for PS4 was revealed. These spotlight things are just them going "in-depth" but in reality it's really just a glorified recap of the stuff we already know.
At least it was confirmed that there was a bunch of content that they weren't able to fit in the trailer and they're going to show it at D23. Hopefully we'll get some PS4 remaster announcements before then.

With that calendar, the "leaked" video, coupled with the fact that if SE planned (but didn't announce it due to fear of having to push it back) to release it December next year in Japan, that would complete Nomura's goal to release 1 game a year (with Unchained X for this year) and the US would get it probably in Spring 2017. GUYS! I THINK WE'VE ALL BUT CONFIRMED IT! 100% UNDENIABLE PROOF! Even if SE flat out said "KHInsider, you guys are wrong, it's not coming out next December" we'd still be right!

So I never post on here even though I spend every night reading through. But I wanted to share my thoughts here now that I can actually get on without it crashing.
Today has been too exciting for words! That leaked trailer has anyone been able to figure out what they might be saying? I can't quite figure it out. Im pretty positive it's real though. A December 2016 release date would at this point be the most likely, the game looks pretty well into development but certainly not "6 months release date ready". It won't be before the next e3 at least. They would have announced a date if it was within a year and it's unlikely they'd go an e3 without playable demos on such an antipated game. If they've spend this much resource and time building the game they're gonna wanna market it for at least 6 months with a date attached to it. we should expect a release date within the next few months though-probably D23 or TGS.
I think tangled is gonna be a great world for KH even though I'm wondering who your boss battle would be. Mother gothel didn't seem like the fighting type- not like older Disney villains were. Anyone else go "wow another beautiful empty world" though? I want to interact with npcs more. My biggest gripe about KH is how empty villages and towns look. Games like skyrim, assassins creed, and so many are filled with people to talk to and little side missions. I wanna trade with people that aren't main characters of the world. I want KH to be more open world. Yes you ultimately have a plot to follow but if you wanna go explore the woods and trade with people and talk you should be able to. These worlds are gonna be beautiful, I wanna see them lively too.
I'm excited to learn about MX the most though. That chess game with all those pieces referring to people. These trailers have focused on his rise to being evil and I wanna see more of that. I was hoping for a glimpse of them finding Aqua or ven though. Like sora and Aqua going into the CoW and waking up ven so I could cry and scream. I have a feeling the game will be very emotional for everyone whose invested as much time as we do. I have dreams (more like nightmares) about playing this game!

That's assuming Sunday is the first column. If we consider Sunday as the last column, then we have a different set of assumptions, however I do think it's a little obscure to look into this..

Eh, I doubt it would start with something other than Sunday. As far as I know, Western and Japanese calendars (discounting older ones) aren't any different.
In any case, the calendar has to have some significance. I doubt they'd randomly put a calendar in full view in a trailer, not to mention that it seems out of place in a scene farther in the past, barring it being a dream or symbolic or something. Not like they wouldn't have used calendars in their era but it has a very current KH look visually.

Me too I think it is too soon for even them to know when they will release the game. There was also the speculation with that quote of Seifer's "Why don't you come back ten years from now?". He says that to Sora in Twilight Town in KH2. With its release in 2005 that would means this year according to what Seifer said, but not even the ones who make the game can plan something like this so much in advance. While December 2016 seems realistic indeed, I doubt they are sure of it being the release date. One can't be sure about something like that... Unless the game is really closer to being finished. From the trailer, though, it doesn't look like it as of now

I doubt there is anything to this calender but I'll play... If the first column starts with a Monday then it could mean September 2015, September 2016, December 2016, June 2017...
What if... Unchained this year, DDD HD Remix next year and PS4 ports of all games followed by KH3 June 2017... I still think a 2016 release date for KH3 is stretching it. I think 2017 is far more likely. There is a slim chance of late 2016 release though, I'd say. I'm prepared to be wrong.

I'd have to say I think E3 was about a 7/10 this year. I have games from all the conferences that I'm looking forward to:
- Doom
- Fallout 4
- Halo 5: Guardians
- Recore (!!!)
- The Last Guardian
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake
- Kingdom Hearts III
- I actually think World of Final Fantasy looks adorable x3
- Star Fox Zero
- The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.
Other than that, some looked good but I'm on the fence about, or just disappointed me.

I didn't catch Sony's (no PS4) but I did catch part of Microsoft's, all of Nintendo's, and most of SE's mainly to see KH. I actually don't think I've streamed an E3 before but I think your 7/10 is pretty accurate, though if I look at my KHIII excitement alone it makes it 10/10.
I'm actually more happy with how Unchained Keys looks now because of the storybook element they mentioned. It looks so cute and I don't mind phone games.
Nintendo's puppet show was cute, but what they presented was a little lackluster. Yoshi's Woolly World and the Animal Crossing decorating game look good, though a full AC would be nice. I was sad there was no Pokemon. And while I don't follow the series, the Metroid game looked like it won't live up to fan expectation.

In terms of wish fulfillment, you can't get much better than this year's E3.
For me
- Uncharted 4
- The Last Guardian
- Final Fantasy VII Remake
- Kingdom Hearts III
Those were the biggest titles. There were some others as well. All in all, I'd say this E3 was easily a 10/10. The amount of times I freaked out during this E3 was crazy. I was literally shaking when Sony opened with The Last Guardian.

I would imagine that even IF that calendar was indeed because they initially planned a Dec 2016 release date, they wouldn't have said it at E3. People have been waiting way too long for KH3 as it is and SE has a terrible history with releasing things among the fanbase after FFXV and KH3 which alone almost hit 2 decades worth of years combined in waiting. So for that reason, if I were SE, I wouldn't announce a release date until they were 100% sure that they could commit to it since even a few month pushback would result in a lot of upset due to the already extensive wait times people have endured.
