RUMOR: Drake Bell Seemingly Confirms Role as Young Eraqus in Kingdom Hearts III

Today on Twitter, actor Drake Bell retweeted a few fans tweet speculating that he was the voice of young Eraqus in Kingdom Hearts III.
Though not an outright confirmation, this doesn't come as much of a surprise as fans have been speculating that Bell was the voice of Young Eraqus as heard in the 2015 E3 Kingdom Hearts III trailer. This news comes shortly after confirmation that voice recording for the English dub of Kingdom Hearts III is well underway.

Drake has always been stupid. He's legitimately not very bright, nor does he have a following that respects his opinion. He was always very lucky to be paired with Josh.

I'm not surprised by this casting. If you pay attention to Disney's films & TV shows, both animated & live action, they tend to keep the contact info of the majority of their main actors on a shortlist of people to hire for new projects. Drake worked for them on Ultimate Spider-Man until sometime 2 years ago, so this makes sense. Hell, a lot of the voices of the secondary characters have worked for Disney at some point, like Yuffie's original VA, Christy Carlson Romano, was voicing Kim Possible & was on Even Stevens at the time the first game came out for example & I bet Drake would've loved to be in a KH game if he knew what they were about, which is possible because the first game came out when he was a teenage working for Nickelodeon, so he might've played some of the games years ago & taken an interest since the rereleases came out & 3's been getting all the hype over the last 5 years. I agree that Josh should play young Xehanort, but that job's already taken by Benjamin Diskin, so that's not likely. Maybe a literal brother to Eriquis or a friend who's like a brother to him. Then again, who knows how popular Drake & Josh is in Japan to really warrant an overt reference like that.
Also, just looking through the past posts here, why does EVERY casting have to be brought down by politics?

It's easy to give Bill Farmer flack back then, but you have to remember that audio gets archived. Ben Dinskin and Drake Bell (supposedly) recorded lines that were in a 2015 trailer of Kingdom Hearts III.
My money on the next person to reveal their involvement would definitely be Ryan Potter. He loves anime and gaming so this seems to be right down his avenue. (Did he also voice Hiro in the Japanese dub of Big Hero 6)?

Yutaro Honjo voiced Hiro. Genesis Rodriguez is the one who voices Honey Lemon in both the English and Latin American dub for both the Movie and the TV Show.

Yeah I dunno exactly the context we could get, but I forsee at least a few more scenes than that. At the least, they seemed to be hinting at exactly how he got the MoM's Keyblade, so I imagine that will at least be shown at some point.

I’ve been thinking the journal could be a lot more immersive this time around. It would be cool if Chip and Dale upgraded the journal to digitize Jiminy’s recordings so we can watch them. That could be a way we could combine the Xehanort Reports with flashbacks.

See, personal umbrages aside, I do wonder about the fact that in these threads us who sensibilize and to some extent do condemn this or that person/ideology are painted as the people out to ruin discussion, but another possible reading is that one could just... ignore these comments without always, always, voicing how we're bad for making this about politics and yadda yadda.
Like, you read a statement about how Drake isn't a great dude, just carry on. As I said, and I think I was backed up on that, these are pieces of info for those who might want them, if you don't or disagree with them they're clearly not for you.

I agree. Instead of acting like moderators, talk about what you want to talk about. If you don't want to talk about how questionable it is they've decided to employ and give money to certain people, then...don't talk about it? Funnily enough, what Oracle Spockanort said was just an aside. It was the complaining that caused it to be talked about more, lol. You caused the opposite of what you wanted.
I was never that interested in the idea of playing as Young Eraqus or Young Xehanort in a hypothetical intro, but now I'd really rather not. I'm not sure how else they'd show all these flashbacks otherwise without causing a slog of cutscenes. At least Xehanort will be gone after KH3--please, Nomura, have mercy--so this is one-time only with Bell voicing.

I wonder if Josh Peck or Miranda Cosgrove will do any voice acting in KH3, it would be cool to actually see those three acting in the same game. It would be kind of like a Drake & Josh reunion.

It also goes along with Nomura's claim that he originally wanted the chronicles recapping the other games in DDD to be accompanied by a "dia show" of pictures which was later scrapped due to time constraints.

So I guess this could confirm that the Xehanort Reports could work as a sort of "vlog" for Master Xehanort, ahahha.

So kind of like KH2 recapped the ending of KH1 in the beginning and the few screen shots of BBS we've seen in 0.2? Eh, definitely would have preferred cutscenes there already... So I would actually be excited about maybe a young Xehanort's diary/journal type of thing that is the new type of reports and exists both as text with accompanying cutscenes. I only entertained the idea of the dialog being part of the prologue, but now I would really love this kind of Xehanort reports. But if they have to reference anything from the old games, please let them render it in the new engine!
