I have FF8 but I'll play it after I beat Persona 5

After XII, I will be going through the XIII trilogy.
So after almost 2 years, I finally convinced myself to finish this playthrough...and my thoughts on the game haven't improved at all. In fact they may have actually gotten worse. If it weren't for the battle system and the graphics, this game would be irredeemable in my opinion. Out of all the FF games that I've played, the only rivalry this has for worst story and cast of characters would be Tactics Advance. But I won't get into that right now. To cut a long story short, I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy XIII.Starting XIII right now. This will be my 3rd playthrough. I've never been the biggest fan of this one but we'll see if the third time is the charm.
He's seemingly repurposing some of it in Kingdom Hearts with Yozora and Quadratum so that's something at least.I don't think it will ever happen but I would love for Square to open the vault and let Nomura use Versus' original concept somehow
The beginning of 2 is weird. Walk a bit too far to the side, and you're fighting turbo monsters that one-shot you. How do you feel about the leveling system? What 'jobs' are you giving your characters? I made my Firion and Guy essentially into Paladins, just leveled up melee weapons with some white magic, mostly just used them for Cure, Esuna, Basuna. Maria was used for Black Mage/Monk. I hate dinky weak staffs in these games and just left her barehanded, and it worked out pretty well, half the time she was doing more damage than the guys with her punches.I now have physical copies of the series through 12 on Switch (minus 11 of course). Cleared 1 but am currently lost on 2. Time to consult a map.
"Jobs"? They're all warriors. It ain't getting any more complex with me. In any event, I was stuck on finding Deist. Turns out I just needed to chat to Gordon 1st. Now I got that and the sad tale of Firion's 1st time done. The beginning of 2 is weird. Walk a bit too far to the side, and you're fighting turbo monsters that one-shot you.
