Good evening everybody! I hope you all are having a blast playing the newest installment to the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]! The official Japanese Kingdom Hearts twitter has presented a special treat for fans! Shiro Amano, mangaka for the Kingdom Hearts series, has illustrated a special wallpaper for its 10th Anniversary! The wallpaper features Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their Atlantica forms, along with Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder! Check it out below!

The final chapter of the 358/2 Days manga will be released this month, to which Shiro Amano will return to work on the Kingdom Hearts 2 manga serealization in the November issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan coming out October 12th.

It looks like it's apart of a calender? Wonder if maybe there will be an actual calender that they maybe release~ C:
They used to have these calendars full of art drawn by Amano, but I think that ended after a few years.

I added some more information. This month marks the final chapter of the 358/2 Days manga, and Shiro Amano will be resuming work on the KH2 manga in the November issue of Monthly Shounen Gangan that releases October 12.

I love Shiro Amano's oddly adorable take on already adorable characters, but that Ariel O___O Also, as Sign said, there used to be KH calendars I believe for the years 2007, 2008, and 2009. Then there was also a KH2 Final Mix Bonus calendar for 2006 that didn't have Shiro's work, but I would have hoped they maybe would've made one for the 10th anniversary, but considering its already August, doubt that is gonna happen lol xP

Thank you. My res is the odd 1366 x 768, which I hardly ever see wallpapers for, so I just ended up resizing the largest one in Photoshop.

but my resolution is 1920X1080, and the image is 1920x12something. On my monitor, a significant portion of the frame is chopped off.

When I think of Kingdom Hearts I don't think of Little Mermaid. Why would they have THIS of all things as the 10th Anniversary wall? That makes no sense. The wallpaper shouldn't even have any Disney characters in it...except for maybe Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.

I guess that means none of the characters should be in it since Sora is Disney character just as much as he is a Square character :\

I agree, we as a KH fanbase should condemn the manga that he draws for choosing to include only "some" of the worlds like Agrabah, Atlantica, Monstro, Neverland, etc. I don't know about you guys, but when I think of Kingdom Hearts, I sure don't think about Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, or any Disney movie. In fact, I don't even think about Sora, so how dare he be in the manga!!!!!!

Little Mermaid is one of my favorite films of all time, and that's a *lot* of movies.

Everybody needs to get off Ariel's fin. Shiro Amano can draw whatever the hell he wants. You don't have to use the wallpaper if you don't want to.
yeah, it's not like this is meant to be promotional art; it's a page from a calendar. If it were anything other than the most insignificant piece of art then we'd have more original characters, but just because the story's forgotten about Disney doesnt mean the artists have to, even if Atlantica is one of the worst worlds in the series.
and we're getting this wallpaper for free. we dont have the right to complain about it.
Plus, the wallpaper looks beautiful. Sure, Atlantic in KH isn't my favorite world, but that dislike shouldn't reflect towards the artwork (not that I'm an Atlantica-hater). Enjoy the art. And like Master Spockanort has pointed out, if you don't like it, don't use it. Just use the wallpapers from the SENA 3D site:D (unless you don't like those as well).
