WARNING: These images are not confirmed to be real, so this should be taken as a RUMOR.
Images of a Monsters Inc. world featuring Sully and Mike in Kingdom Hearts III have surfaced online, originally posted on ResetEra by user Wrestleman and given to him through an anonymous source. These images show off Sora, Donald, and Goofy in a transformed monster form as they fight against different Unversed with Sully and Mike.
These screenshots are allegedly taken from a developer build of the game.

Also I figured if we did get a second Pixar world, it would be something else besides Monsters Inc. We already have two worlds set in modern times.

sorry about that, had to get the excitement out. been a while since d23, so forgive if i went a bit crazy.
now to review; while even though this is a rumor, the only flaw i see are sora, donald and goofy's headshots in the hud remains normal. in the d23 trailer for Toy Story, their pictures changed to reflect their current forms in said world i.e. as toys. ergo, if this is so, then the pictures should have them looking like the monsters.
on a side note, im surprised the Unversed are back, which means that Vanitas himself has returned as well.
rumor or not, this is still the best thing we've got all week. and don't you think its a bit coincidental that this shows up just before the Jump Festa event this weekend.

Doors to everywhere in a society powered by children's fear (negative/darkness) eventually finding out that children's laughter (positive/light) is actually a million times more powerful fits hella well with KH's story.

Well, we could always go back to the Sleeping Realms again for whatever reason, so I wouldn't count that out entirely.
Honestly, first time I saw this on twitter, I thought immediately fake due to poor quality... but as people mentioned, it could just be a test run. We'll find out eventually when the next trailer is released most likely.

Idk about this but I'd be 100% up for Monsters Inc, it's one of those few films I have childhood nostalgia for. Loved that PS1 (I think?) game too. Sora's design looks awful and obviously this is nowhere near the Toy Story world quality but an early development version? Eh. Maybe.

I just want to point out that it's not inconceivable that someone created this on Unreal Engine themselves and did editing on Photoshop. It's very good for a fan design, but too unpolished to be legitimate unless this is early stages. Plus, I don't want to believe that Sora's monster design would remove his pants but keep his shirt/jacket intact.
It looks like it could be either fan made (fake) or very early in creation. At first I thought they were using the Mike & Sulley models from the Disney Magic Kingdoms app. But then I saw that the models are very different so that was no longer possible. If fake then this was still very convincing and probably a lot of work and manipulation was put into it.
If Monsters Inc would be a world then I would be very happy to see it in the game.

This definitely feels real to me. People who've used Unreal Engine 4 have commented on the believably of the debug menu. And when you think about it from a narrative perspective, it makes sense for Unversed to be here. Monsters Inc. as a business is to collect scares, scares can be interpreted as negative emotions. This is a very Nomura approach with this world.
Yeah, some of the assets are mis-matched, but you have to remember, different aspects of an asset is worked at in different times. We don't know how early of a build this is. And speaking of the assets, the character icons are far too believable for it to be fake. This may have been taken at the early stages, but who has the ability to replicate all these assets so believably?
It makes sense that there would be a 2nd Pixar film in the game as one of the 5-6 remaining Disney worlds, I was just personally hoping for The Incredibles. But that'd be similar to Big Hero 6 I suppose.

Yeah so far we've got Mostly CGI Disney Movies and we don't know if Monsters Inc being In KH3 is real or not but we'll find out soon but we need to see Disney Worlds that we haven't seen in KH3(You know like Frozen, Treasure Planet, Jungle Book, The Princess and the Frog, Wreck-It-Ralph and or either Atlantis or Pocahontas)
I mean I myself believe that it's real. I mean of course it looks rough and it looks like a convincing photoshop, but it's not like we even know if it was ready to be revealed in the first place.
I don't particular mind Monsters inc if this ends up being real... but man, there's a severe lack of 2D films to balance out all the CG films.
Can't help but feel that if this was fake, whoever made it would probably have a heartless boss. The fact that it's a unversed of all things is kind of odd.

There's always those olden Disney films that was never used once, like Robin Hood or the Great Mouse Detective, hell we can hope the Jungle Book finally gets in here. We also have some 2000 films that can work well with the new graphics like Treasure Planet, Atlantis, The Princess and the Frog. And some sequels left over for any returning worlds like Agrabah and the King of Thieves, or Simba's Pride. There still are some possibilities.
I called a 2nd Pixar world, if true. Always thought Monsters Inc. would be the next priority after Toy Story.
Monsters Inc has been a world I’ve been dreaming of for like 8 years now so I really hope this is real.
It could be a from an earlier build of the game, might have been shared internally on the FTP server so another department could see some information about triangles, frame rate and whatever else. It also makes sense for the HUD to not have monster icons, considering it says ‘temporary’ and the UI is worked on late in dev (remember the placeholder HUD’s from a few years back?)
The unversed work perfectly with the themes of that world too. Unversed come from negativity or whatever and monsters scaring children to generate fright can also be construed as negativity. I do hope we get Heartless and Nobodies in the world too, those would provide some good fright (please please please, like TNBC where the Doctor tried to use Heartless for Halloween, have the spider boss guy use heartless to scare kids).
Also Steve Buscemi needs to voice Randall.

Toy Story, A Bugs Life and Monsters Inc. are the most earliest work of Pixar. If any other Pixar property is to be part of this game then it'd definitely be Monsters Inc. hands down.

But you're comparing Apples to Oranges here. The Smash assets for Rayman in Smash were already extracted so anybody could make a believable fake Smash characters with Smash Wii U assets. Kingdom Hearts III assets haven't been extracted because the game is not out.

My thoughts too. The fact that it's Unversed solidifies the legitimacy of this. And the level of detail to the location and Mike and Sully is too precise for this to be fake. Kingdom Hearts III assets haven't even been extracted yet so how can anybody make this? A more obvious fake would be of Treasure Planet.
I feel that a lot of people responding here are speaking in denial regarding the legitimacy of this. The HUD and character models may be mis-placed, but I dare to see anybody with Unreal Engine 4 to replicate something like this.

Unversed, eh? As much as I've never liked the little critters it's only fine to welcome them back, I hope the fact that they are basically unkillable monsters will be addressed.

Honestly, I actually love the Unversed, even if they were pretty much filler enemies in BBS. I like the designs.
Yeah I'd adore this if real, it is a lot of CG worlds especially since I expect Frozen but I mean I love all these movies so I'm not upset about it. Though I do hope all remaining ones could maybe be some older 2D ones.
I really don't put it past someone to go in Unreal Engine and make all these models lol. Its super suspicious they don't show the faces of SDG anywhere, very convenient. But their designs are likable. Though I dunno if I like them keeping their jackets, seems random. But maybe its a reference to someone and if its real they have may have gotten another Pixar employee to design them again like Toy Story.

I believe they only said less than KH2. That could be 10 or less I think. If we include the minigame worlds, which I assume they do. 6 is probably way too low. They didn't say less than KH1 which had 9? So my likely guesses are literally 9 or 10. I guess less is possible, but that specific wording makes me hopeful we won't get that.
Someone on tumblr pointed out that the icons of the monster forms aren't on the health bars. Now maybe they didn't get a chance to put them in during development, but.....

But that being said, these screens could be fake or just early production. Remember when the first BBS English trailer dropped and we all thought it was fake because of the wooden acting? Cuz I do. This could be another situation like that.
But it probs is fake. Monsters Inc. seems like a choice I would expect much later in the series if only because there's a LOT more popular Pixar films to choose from.

Nope the number was less then KH2 So 10-11 total Disney worlds. They never said less then Kingdom Hearts so it's not less then 9 which was KH. We're looking at 5-6 more Disney worlds left to be revealed.

I run a shitty little discord server for the remaining users of a dead forum that I ran in the mid 2000s to present. It's a Crash Bandicoot server at its core but since there's not a lot of Crash stuff happening post-N.Sane Trilogy yet, it's mostly a shitposting server. One of our members came into one of our channels, and posted the three images. I did some quick research to see if it had spread to Era or any of the KH fansites yet. Noticing it had not, I asked the guy where they came from. He told me that he saw them on another server (or rather, he just said "I saw them somewhere else"). He went back and asked the ORIGINAL poster of the images where they come from. THAT person then told him "I got them from a friend who got them from an FTP server where they were quickly removed afterwards". Person A Finds Them on FTP ---> Gives them to Person B ---> Person B posts them on a server ----> Person C (My Server's member) sees them and reposts them to MY server ----> I see them and post them to Era. I'm like, the fifth layer down the ladder from the source. I am making no claims to this leak as a source or an insider of any kind. Thank you.[/FONT] |

Actually the more I think of it, the more obvious it is that Monsters Inc would be the next Pixar world decision.
Looking at both how Monsters Inc has been treated by Disney, it has been very popular. Appearing for Disney Infinity, Parade, lots of merchandise and the first inclusion in the Disney app Magic Kingdoms.
I can also see that Pixar would want to have a world where there are only monsters, which makes sense for Monsters Inc.
If this is real, and the Unversed return (in the first image) that means that Vanitas is returning as well

It's a screenshot from a game in-development game. It's as simple as the monster-Sora not having been made or implemented yet.
If it were a fake, then it would be an incredibly silly thing for the photoshopper to overlook.
Gotta say, when I first saw this yesterday, I was a bit mixed. I did not really want two Pixar films in the game, and thought Toy Story was good enough, even though Monsters Inc is one of my favorite Pixar films (alongside Toy Story, Incredibles, and Finding Nemo).
Having slept on it and really letting it sink in, I have now become hyped for this world to be in if this leak ends up real. A Randall boss would be pretty sweet and the plot for the world could be sick. As usual, the hype thrusters have now overheated for the billionth time.

So I decided I was going to wait a day to decide what I thought about this. And that I wouldn't think about this that much. But I lied. I was thinking about this a lot today. I really wanted to analyse this. I've been looking at what people have said to try to debunk it and make sense of it, and well........ yeah, the more I think about this it seems like it's real.
One thing that really is a red flag to me is the Unversed 'boss' we're looking at. If this was a fake, then someone would have had to come up this Unversed concept on their own. It obviously fits in with the movie and character designs so it was designed with this world in mind. The thing is, it doesn't look anything like (most of) the Unversed in BBS and FM, with pastel colors and cartoony eyes/spikes, as opposed to the darker designs in BBS, and the lack of the red emoting eyes. If someone were to make their own concept, it'd think it'd fit with the older design aspects instead of being so different. At least that's how I've seen it done in the past.
There's other things people have pointed out about the textures (like Sully's fur being blurry, or the roughness around the Kingdom Key), but if this is real, it's not near a finalized state (it might be months old by now). Hair textures are hard and take a lot of work, and it looks like at this point there's plenty of other textures and lighting that are still WIP. I can also see that they're still doing tweaks to designs and textures in any state of development, so if the characters aren't nearly done, maybe they're holding out on making the avatars until they have finalized their models.
Some people have asked why they would chose this for a world. It makes sense to me, because it's a very unique concept in the Disney and Pixar movies. The doors and the scare business would work well with KH. After Toy Story was announced, I thought it'd be a good idea for them to have at least one more Pixar world in KH3, and the first thing I was thinking of was Monsters Inc. Plus it was incredibly popular. I remember watching this movie A LOT at home or at school. The only other movie I watched that much at that time was Finding Nemo.
I could see this being real. I wouldn't be surprised if it's fake, but something about it comes across real to me. The Unversed slug reminds me of Roz... Sora and Donald look questionable, but the Goofy design looks like something that I could see being real. The icons in the corner not looking different is the main thing that would make me call this a fake.
Maybe they look for a door to the dark realm here? (It'd be cool if Roz helped SDG find a door to lead to Aqua somehow.) I agree with others who said the Unversed would fit well in this world with the whole scaring children for power thing. I'd like for all the enemies to appear again one last time in KH3. Post-KH3, I never want to see Unversed again, pls/thx.
I just thought if there was another Pixar film, it would be Inside Out. That seems tailor-made for the Ventus storyline. Even though I'm not crazy about Pixar being in KH (but even Disney's identity is being watered down now with all their buyouts of other companies), I do halfway like Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. at least--and The Incredibles/Inside Out, too--so I would still be excited for this. I liked chuman's idea of TS-MI-IO being worlds connected to TAV respectively.

There’s also the open hallway which would lead to the scare floor, which highlights that maybe the Slug Unversed isn’t a boss since it would make sense for the company to go into a security shut down and the doors would shut (although I have a world plot theory coming up about this).[/FONT][/FONT]

For Vanitas to return, and on a mission from Xehanort, it makes sense he would be drawn to a world that feeds off the negative energy (read: fear) of children. And the designs of the Unversed look like Monsters which means he might have the perfect cover for going into that world. No one would give the Unversed a second look because they look like everyone else. The Slug Unversed is a perfect example of this. Like I said before, it is reminiscent of Roz.[/FONT][/FONT]

Remember how Roxas was sending emotions through Sora without him realising, like when Sora started to cry when saying goodbye to Hayner, Pence, and Olette, or would make random quips at the Organization without realising why he was saying that? Ventus would react inside of Sora if he saw Vanitas. And that kind of drama would be delicious to explore. [/FONT][/FONT]

I’ve noted that above that the screens could be real because the reflections are in place and reflect a lot, but they are blurry and some of them are out of place and look odd. Why would there be incredible designs for the main characters and the Slug Unversed but a lack of care given to other elements of the screenshots? If it’s a fake then I have to give respect to the people who made these as it is clear they did their research on other monsters when designing Sora. A big factor in peoples beliefs that it is fake is there are oddities around the screenshot. The hub portraits are of the standard characters rather than their monster forms. The reflections are blurry and out of place. There are some weird outlines on objects such as Sora’s Keyblade. If this is real then the solution is so obviously clear: this is a video game under development. Things are not finalised (like Sora’s monster form PLEASE!) and are under development. Plus this screen could have been taken anywhere from 6 to 12+ months ago (based on HUB and a consistent aesthetic and art style). [/FONT][/FONT]

Young Xehanort is being fixed. I believe Nomura said Kairi and Riku haven’t been shown yet as they’re still trying to get them to look nice and proper for the game (I guess they don’t want another 2.8 Jump Festa scenario where they looked like crap and everyone and their mother was thinking that the game would look awful).[/FONT][/FONT]

Man it's been awhile since i've seen a rumor get the community talking THIS much. And it's easy to see why. I think there are enough arguments to support both sides, and I personally think it could be either/or. A lot of the weird design choices and inconsistencies could be blamed on it being an earlier development build, but things like the monster designs and the Unversed being there are just weird to me (though the latter could confirm Vanitas being in the new Organization like others have pointed out).

Regardless I won't be heartbroken if it turns out fake. But man I really want it to be real and it's a huge deal if it is. Guess we'll find out in February at the D23 event!

This is why Sora looking like a background character/design from the film doesn't surprise me (if it's real). They would want something that looks like it fits into the film's universe, and what better way to achieve that than re-use some background design(s) most people won't recognize/remember.

Days, but the scale of everything in that game was way off.
KH3 is pushing the envelope in regards to the size of things so it isn’t out of the question to have larger enemies. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t a boss though. The way the room is set up makes it seem like it’s just a regular battle.

I kind of think it's fake, just my gut saying that. However, I also think while these particular images are fake, that does not mean in any way that we aren't getting a Monsters Inc world. I have a feeling the leaks are fake but Monsters Inc is going to be a world anyway and unversed are also returning. It is just all going to be better than what the images offer. Monsters Inc is kind of obvious so I am sure it will be in regardless.. I really don't get the people that think Toy Story would be the only Pixar world to make it in after having Pixar on board with Square Enix. It seems wasteful for them to just help out with one idea. I wouldn't be surprised if half the worlds were Pixar.

It is 7 lights against 13 darkness's after all, the bad guys are clearly going to use their numbers to play cat and mouse with Riku and the Mouse. Seeing as Riku's immune to the darkness at this point, The Seekers of Darkness would have to find an alternate way of playing with his mind.
Maybe Riku and Mickey have to protect the Princesses of Heart from Xehanort so they'll change their plans for Sora to find Aqua (cause you know, he's the "key" and all that Kingdom Hearts stuff).

On one hand, if it's real, maybe they're trying to be different with the Drive forms in the Monsters Inc world by having Sora's body change instead of his clothes? But I guess that still leaves the question of why not change the jacket too while they're at it.

A character creator for one world seems like a lot of work. Unless the creator is quite limited in options. I guess the mech gameplay mechanic is a lot of work too possibly for only one world so we’ll see.

A 2015 film is unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible. And also taking into account they've been working directly with the studio involved.

BH6 was the last film chosen for KH3, and it’s lack of appearances is telling. All they could show at D23 2015 was a screenshot, and Disney denied showing it in July this year because it’s not in an acceptable showable stage just yet.
For any film released after Big Hero 6, it would either be in the same stage as it is now or just a bit further along. I know Nomura said he sometimes sees Disney films early but I just struggle to feel comfortable in assuming there’s a more recent property than Big Hero 6 being represented in KH3.
Let's not forget that Disney movies will be represented in other ways than just the worlds, too. A more recent movie might not have a full world, but perhaps a summon or another small glimpse is possible.

That's very true. Though I can't really think of what summons could be extracted from Disney's '15-17 roster, I do expect/hope the dog from Frankenweenie and the Bear from Brave to be summons.

I mean, who really knows with KH3. They're trying new things with the gameplay and enemies that they couldn't do before. The Gigas are so big but you can use them against each other as potential weapons, but (I'm probably safe to assume) that won't be a gameplay mechanic here. The Gigas health and skill-set are also very different from this guy. But there's many large, common enemies in each game, and it really depends on how Square would want to go with the gameplay in a particular level.
If it helps, I don't think it'd be weird to have a short mini-boss or boss rush such as this one, and then have Randall as a boss later. I don't think the two are mutually exclusive.

This pretty much sums up my love/hate for this concept. I think the purple and orange combo is striking and adorably cartoonish; he blends in with the world while it also sets him apart. If it's real, I just hope they made some tweaks that fixes how odd the shirt looks. I just don't like the black and red top when it's mixed with his purple/orange form. I'd do what Pride Lands did and get rid of the outfit entirely, and keep his necklace. He's not 'human" anyway, and Mike and Sully don't really wear clothes, so he shouldn't either.
Speaking of gimmicks, I believe Nomura said something along the lines that each world would have some form of unique gimmick? The Gigas in Galaxy Toys are that worlds gimmick but we don’t know what the gimmicks are in Olympus, San Fransokyo, or The Kingdom of Corona. It's giving me an idea as to why Sora's monster outfit is funky.
Noruma stated that every world would have its own unique features. Like in Toy Story there is the mecha suits that Sora can control.
What if (saying this is an actual leak) the world of monsters inc. you would be able to create your own playable monster.
This is a stretch, but it's the only explanation I could gather to cover the mash up outfit Sora is wearing.
With your theory, a scare factor would obviously fit in Monstropolus, but I'm trying to figure out how it would work in battle aside from being like a reaction command. Then again, not all gimmicks need to be for battle, so maybe the scare factor can be something you need to keep up in order to not to raise suspicion from monsters like Roz and the CDA. But after saying that, I'm not sure if I'm up for stealth. XD

My theories would be:
- Maximus/random horse riding in Corona, or maybe even "hiring" the Snuggly Duckling's thugs to help? (Nomura said there could be more than five party members, after all),
- Baymax flight in San Fransokyo (can't think of anything else).
- Coliseum Fights in Hercules/River Tide Ride (seeing Jump Festa 2016's trailer - could apply to Corona as well).
- Door Teleportation in Monsters Inc.?

I thought he did as well. I was thinking there might be a car racing section in the Toy Shop, as there were toy cars being advertised alongside the Gigas. Maybe that could be on another floor, as the shop is meant to be multiple levels.

I don't really want a straight up power bonus. Instead I would hope for something interactive at least like the robots. Something to do with scare tanks or doors, could be interesting. I guess...maybe killing Unversed fills the tanks but yea you unleash it to do...something other than just a simple power up ha. I dunno really.

Yeah, pretty much. When they "die" they just go back to him.
The Unversed are also the negative emotions he feels, so he shouldn't be able to "feed off" the fear from the kids. He'd have to feel the emotion himself.

It's also entirely possible Vanitas himself wasn't aware that he could instigate Unversed in other people, hence why he claims that they only comes from him. After all the Unversed were opponents meant primarily for Ventus, and the "abnormal" ones are Terra and Aqua's bosses.
Unless the emotions somehow returned to him and not to their proprietors, there really was no way for him to be aware about other Unversed existing and/or being destroyed.
Neither I nor Cyborg009 claimed Vanitas is made of emotions. Screams are a power source in Monstropolis, and in KH's universe that pretty much guarantees the children's fears are of dark energy. If the Unversed feed on this, then when they're defeated the extra darkness that was gained would theoretically go to Vanitas.
But emotions aren't Darkness. Emotions can generate darkness, but the Unversed are emotions and they are introduced as something different from Darkness entirely, meaning there is some difference.
Also they don't really seem to feed in any real way nor do they generate darkness: the issue with them was mostly "hey there are gremlins around and Yen Sid says they're odd, better check the Princesses for good measure".
If anything they feed on light based on this.
I'm even doubtful children's fear would be considered dark energy in the KH universe: "fear" can exist without leading to darkness (like when Jack is trying to make a heart and fear is basically just a component), and children are the purest of forces that rebuilt the lost world with light.

I don't think he'd necessarily want to feed off even more bad energy than he already has. It's questionable what his real goal was in BBS (since only the not-so-canon novels give some general ideas of what could be), but I somewhat doubt that even more negativity and pain would be what he's aiming for - especially since it already seems to be quite eternal in terms of the unversed.
As for the Cursed Coach, that always bothered me. Vanitas explicitely says that the unversed have taken shape from the negative energy set free when he and Ventus were split, and that they are, what he feels. A horde of fledgling emotions under his control.
I highly doubt that we'll get to see other characters or instances where they suddenly pop out of nothing in a similar way, unless something similar like the heart-split happens again.
The only thing I could imagine (which would also explain the mirror) would be that the unversed born from Vanitas are under his control, but as soon as that negative energy is set free, it can basically be used by anyone with an ill will if done so before it has the time to return to him. All things considered, that's still pretty dumb (as it still goes against the concept of them being "under his control"), but I feel like that would still make more sense than him creating unversed from other people - after all, he doesn't really create them. He just sets them free from himself.

That's what I meant too by "instigate", if the non-Vanitas Unversed are still canon I still don't think it's something he does willingly, to me it's more like his own existence upsets the balance of the emotions or something.
I mean, this is kinda how standard Unversed are born: it's not that he sought to create them, the negativity created this anormality for him to use. It's literally him feeling something and that something taking concrete form.

I'll post photos and update when i get a chance, but I'm almost certain we're getting a Winnie The Pooh world yet again. While Monster's Inc is "mi" for short in the filenames and Toy Story is "ts", there's an unidentified "ra", which contains files for a bonfire, coastline, flower hills, swamp, etc. Hmmmmm... Winnie the Pooh seems to be labeled "po", with files for rabbits house, a bee nest, and honeypot. Will update if/when i find more.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie as much as I love Monster's Inc and with the dry spell we have had since July, this was super exciting for me real or not. But it would have been great to see it in a trailer, tbh this is the first world I didn't basically predict since Big Hero 6 2 years ago lol. Tangled and Toy Story were obvious, and great, choices to me. And I feel plenty of others will fall into that category for me as well.
That being said, I wouldn't want stuff to keep getting leaked for multiple reasons. Both respect and just it takes all the surprise away that they are planning.

I respect the decision to pull back from this in some respects but I agree with Ruse in that there really is no ethical issue at hand.
Unless the KHI staff actually stole the images, as a news site dedicated to KH content, there's absolutely nothing wrong with referencing events that are actually happening surrounding the series. Leaks happen all the time: some studios even coordinate them "unofficially." They're basically free marketing.

Is it being shut down? A lot of posters here seemed to be uncomfortable with the recent developments so there may just be some hesitance to jump back in until things get clarified. I think if the mods want the conversation to end, we'll know 'cause the thread will get locked. Plus Chaser seemed to give the OK on "future leaks" as long as it's all spoiler-tagged.

Edit: I’ll try and address this “conversation shut down†thing that some members feel is in effect. Basically we feel it’s a bit unethical to be sharing this data, no matter where it comes from. The initial Monsters Inc leak was unique and impressive and generated a lot of discussion and speculation, whereas this information dump just borders on “oh boy, Square is REALLY going to be pissed nowâ€. It’s fine to discuss the stuff and whatnot, but caution needs to be in effect. Spoiler tags help, and Sign shutting down the links to find this information is a step towards helping Square from people potentially accessing other data.
We have a good reputation with Square Enix, we benefit from them and they benefit from us. We have people from the development team in Japan and the PR team in America that visit our website, Tai Yasue is very familiar with our work, and we speak to the representatives from Square Enix a lot. We’ve informed Pixar reps about the initial leak so it’s up to them if legal action will be required (in the form of cease and desist on the images or whatnot).
The information is now considered semi-public, especially since I just listed a TL;DR of the information in there, so discussion will of course happen. But PLEASE just be mindful of those who want to remain in the dark on certain things.

Low-key wanted a new mini-game world but I love Pooh so it cool. All those Tangled areas sound nice, and I'm curious about the Herc doll. But yea none of that actually makes me feel horribly spoiled so I don't regret looking haha.

Geeze, putting it all like this, there aren't many Disney worlds left. I mean I full expected Frozen on top of all this, and a mini-game world to take up a slot. So I guess this isn't new for me but just reading it puts it in perspective.
I really kind of hope Disney Castle is cut-scene only unless they go above and beyond with it...aka not KH2 lol. I would hope for Disney Town attached as well. And maybe crazy stuff like the House of Mouse being there, or like at least the main character's houses so maybe we can freaking meet Max finally or something. Otherwise I don't want it taking a Disney slot tbh...

So that's 8 total Disney worlds then, counting Disney Castle. I think the maximum we will get will be 10, so we still have 2 more.
Nothing about the list is really surprising to me, since I always felt like we'd get 100 Acre Woods for sure. I do hope DC is cutscenes only… there's not much to do in that world, and imo the spot would be wasted.

Or it's cutscene only, but they arrive to find that Xehanort got to Ven first and his body is missing. Yeah I am actually surprisingly worried about returning worlds ha. I don't think we can say Jungle Book is certain, but it and main Hawaii version of Lilo and Stitch are the only 2 2-D movies we haven't really gotten that are screaming to me we could really get this time. Obviously I could be wrong lol, and my be pleasantly surprised at being so. But yeah...I hope elements of other movies are still in. I would love to see all the Princesses for instance again. Merlin is given, but hopefully the good fairies and maybe the fairy godmother even?? And who knows what else, give me a fun collection side-quest like the Dalmations again...or something random like the Lady and the Tramp fountain in Traverse Town.

This isn't the whole world list, goso. If it were, Twilight Town and Yen Sid's tower (if it is separate) would also be on the list. Besides, I highhhhly doubt it'll be a playable world in the first place. I feel like the Riku-Mickey plot will, again, happen behind the scenes mostly.

A property like The Jungle Book is more traditional Disney and Treasure Planet, as good of a movie as it was, is always refereed to as a financial flop. Nomura did mention that we will get "unexpected worlds" so expect either Treasure Planet or Atlantis.
And Winnie the Pooh's return was entirely predicable. Jim Cummings hinted at it and the 2011 canonical sequel has yet to be adapted.[/Spoiler]

C'mon, Winnie the Pooh is an innocent world that takes a break from all the Keyblade bashing. Besides, 100 Acre Wood has always been optional in both 1 and 2 so I struggle to understand the negativity.

My struggle is that I find every single minigame in KH rather bad, but I like having completed everything in the game (especially if it grants me items like Orichalcum+ which I need if I want to complete other stuff.

Disney Castle and 100 acre wood...why
Disney Castle is an integral location in the series and 100 Acre Wood has been in 1 and 2 and is the way of breaking the mold of just jacking enemies with your Keyblade... what would you rather have?
Personally, I'm excited to see Pooh & friends on the new engine. And Disney Castle doesn't have to be a full-blown world; more like a visit.
Stuff like 100 Acre Wood is the reason I love this game - yeah, we wear black hoods, fight with cool weapons and are stylish and goth and stuff, but let's not forget to visit Winnie the Pooh!
To be fair, I guess they could replace the "mini-game" world with Cars or something.

thing would shock me. I would love for Tarzan to be in KH again, but I don't know if there's any way to confirm if Disney has a better relationship with Burroughs' family than they have since CoM? Maybe Disney is thinking of making a live-action re-make of Tarzan and so they reached out to the Burroughs' family again. Only thing I could think of that would make Tarzan available again.Disney making a live-action Tarzan wouldn't surprise me. I know Disney currently has the rights since it'd be needed in order to sell 1.5 (otherwise the Tarzan world would have been taken out), but the idea that Tarzan could actually be coming back for KH3 surprises me even though I"m one of the few that believed it could happen.

YES I really thought the first 2 had a good chance, I love Atlantis but yea with the limited roster I can't see it this time no matter what...but I really want Jungle Book and Treasure Planet. Both are environments we don't have in the game, so it would fill it all out nicely. I really don't want Disney Castle unless it has like Goofy Movie or House of Mouse, or even Disney Park elements incorporated. Lets just hope for the best lol.

Yeah I am actually surprisingly worried about returning worlds ha. I don't think we can say Jungle Book is certain, but it and main Hawaii version of Lilo and Stitch are the only 2 2-D movies we haven't really gotten that are screaming to me we could really get this time. Obviously I could be wrong lol, and my be pleasantly surprised at being so. But yeah...I hope elements of other movies are still in. I would love to see all the Princesses for instance again. Merlin is given, but hopefully the good fairies and maybe the fairy godmother even?? And who knows what else, give me a fun collection side-quest like the Dalmations again...or something random like the Lady and the Tramp fountain in Traverse Town.

[spoiler=]I know they market the more recent ones but I disagree. They have marketed Hercules return ever since 2015 and also been hinting on the return of Princess Of Heart which are all 2D counterparts. I think by February that they should start at least announce a 2D surprise, if there is any left. People have been raving about Treasure Planet & Jungle Book ever since the announcement of a Kingdom Hearts 3. I rather have them giving Winnie The Pooh an original story instead of the one from 2011, that one is not a reason enough to make a world return in my opinon.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Okay, a bunch of people are thinking that literally every world has been leaked due to a reddit post basically repeating the world assets stuff. Once again, it's not every world. If it were, we'd be seeing DI, or Keyblade Graveyard, or RoD and stuff. *sigh* Better hope this doesn't happen again.[/spoiler]
Starting to feel there's gonna be too many original worlds for the game's own good. Kinda lame if the Disney world count dropped because of them needing to factoring in a bunch of original worlds or cutscene only areas.

I agree. It’s not even that hard to understand either. This server was used as a means of communication between Square Enix and an outsourced studio helping them make assets. This is why the files are all of bits and pieces of random worlds, and why any world list made from the provided links should be treated as incomplete.
I started a worlds thread in the spoiler section. Would it be possible for the worlds talk to go into that thread, and for the Monsters Inc threads to go back to being Monsters Inc? Thanks :)

Wow, maybe there was a reason you only have a shitty netbook; so the whole damn game didn't get leaked. I mean, the only surprising thing to come out of this were the Monsters screens and if they feared this would happen that they hid a Tarzan asset in the Rapunzel files.

I also found the files and such thanks to an FTP Indexer. They were uploaded on the 14th Dec. 2017

They're fairly recent. The Hercules sundial was delivered on September 1st 2017, a background tree in Rapunzel was delivered on November 3rd 2017. Seems like the outsourced work was being sent in before 2018 so they could stitch it all together and do some debugging and whatnot for the 2018 launch :-)
the leak is from XAC the files are indeed recent from before the site went down. dating up every 2 or 3 days with new files. very easy to find. it is legit. i have a picture of a different game with an XAC stamp if its allowed to be posted. i discovered the FTP in november and within one month they took it down. so like i said it has to be real
