Although I am very excited about it, it just doesn't seem there would be much for KHIII. But, they always have their surprises which is why I am also excited to see if they announce 2.5 Remix. Can't wait! Should be a great show overall.

In terms of KH III I would think that there is a decent chance that they'll reveal Sora's new outfit and maybe give us a first sneak peak at Mickey and Riku in their KH III forms.

KH 2.5 HD is probably the one that is featured without being announced.

As for X[Chi], maybe there's a slim chance for an overseas release announcement?
It may be non-canon, but the setting is undeniable cute and the cards are some shiny stuff right there, also because of several new render poses for the characters.

Expecting at the very least the new outfits for Sora (and hopefully Donald and Goofy because they have yet to get an update on their clothes since the series started) as well as Riku and Kairi. Maybe some info on where they are at in the game's development.

A part of me expects that they would do the big first world reveal at D23 Expo Japan rather than TGS just to have something to hype them up with. (*crosses fingers for Robin Hood*)

General rule of TGS is that none of their announcements unless specifically stated otherwise are related to the NA/EU/PAL market and should not be taken as such until NA/EU/PAL makes the appropriate announcement.

So I'd say the chances of them saying "hey we're also releasing chi in NA/EU/PAL" are slim. It's possible but slim.

You know i think Nomura is going to say sorry for what happened (The Development Hell + 0 News Involing It) with Versus XIII/XV by Telling News about KH3 Every Major Game Event things

lol Yeah, he already said the plan is to be more transparent about these games and giving more frequent updates, even if they aren't big ones and just "Look at this new character model" or some info on a game mechanic.

Versus was never in Development Hell per say. They just weren't allowed to talk about it, especially in 2011 when the decision was made to move it to PS4. At that time Nomura had planned to start sharing more info about XV, but the system itself hadn't been announced so they were bound by Sony policies to keep it under wraps until the reveal two years later.

honestly i think he's the one who deserves the apology considering everything that went down when the info ban was in place (kotaku starting rumors in a pitiful attempt to bait them to release news)

at the end of the day, we're not exactly entitled to receive anything, news or even the game itself.

but we are getting more news as ethy already explained. i think what people most often overlook is that it actually hasn't been that long since the last batch of information we received, all things considered.

Yeah. We got new info last month. It is INSANE that we'll be getting more in both September and October and then probably December as well. So used to new hiatuses that last endless months.

Considering Nomura made such an effort to create a mysterious vibe around Kairi by specifically mentioning that they haven't addressed her so far on purpose, I would not be surprised if they wait with the Kairi reveal until Jump Festa.
Sora's new outfit and maybe a first glimpse at Riku would be already neat though.

The only Disney character so far to get a clothes update if I recall correctly was Mickey, all other new outfits were only for original characters, or specifically the Destiny Islands-trio as characters like Roxas never got a "new" outfit but they had two from the beginning, as in casual wear and black coat.

Since KH III will probably have more worlds than any other title before, I could see as well that they already reveal a world.

That's to be expected, as I do not really expect Chi to come out internationally anyways.

You know what I'd love? If they get enough of the cutscenes done where they can make a new trailer just to show off Kairi's new outfit. I don't know how much work they've gotten done in this year, so I doubt that'd happen but it'd be nice to see Kairi given some extra attention...and not in the creepy way Toriyama and Kitase do for LRFF xD

Yep. Roxas has three, actually. Pajamas, casual, and black coat. Sora doesn't even have pjs.

The story is still a fairytale, so it wouldn't be full canon. That's be almost impossible considering what you said. xD I'd definitely expect that certain elements (the factions, the Foretellers, that shady-ass cat Chirishii, Daybreak Town) becoming canon, but definitely not the game itself.

I said this in the other thread but I'd love to see somebody find the fairytale book and Sora is tasked to finding the missing pages. Every page has information on these things, maybe even sketches done by Nomura (or Kobayashi if he's one of the art director again because I loved the little comic things he drew for KH3D)

Also before you go out hunting the pages, maybe Yen Sid tells the story in his own way which gives us a montage cutscene of events and see the Foretellers and shady Chirishii in HD lol

I can't WAIT for more info! So stoked that I don't care how much or little it is, (so long as I get a bit in succession at a CONSISTENT pace) I will wait as long as they like before they release it. But they HAVE to be consistent, or I will demand. After all, that's what KH fans do. DEMAND! XD

For III, I don't see them giving much new info. This could be an easy way to compile the pieces Nomura has already mentioned since E3(for the more casual fans) and to show off Sora's new outfit and maybe, if we're unrealistically lucky, a genuine test for the Kingdom Shader that is not the trailer released at E3.

Nomura promised more frequent updates. And he said at E3 there'd be new info at TGS no matter how small. So...yeah. It's weird, right? We never get news this fast. KH3D was announced, then went into about over a year of silence.

The thing I want to see most in the KH3 trailer is a glimpse of what Xehanort's crew is doing. Second i'd like to see Sora's new outfit. Third i'd like to see maybe 2 disney worlds since I believe that's how many were first shown off when BBS was announced. (Castle of Dreams & Dwarf Woodlands at TGS07) Finally I want to see at least one boss battle because i'd just like to see if they are finally going replace the KH2 boss HP bar they have been using for every game since KH2. And whatever story info they want to release is nice, but I'd expect more of that out of the Nomura interview that will eventually come after TGS.

As for Kairi, the more I think about it, the more i'm certain she is going to be a major player in KH3, so I'd like to keep the air of mystery around her bit longer and maybe catch a glimpse of her at Jump Festa (Kind of how they kept Aqua hidden for so long with BBS, and then of course she ends up as the main character from the BBS trio)

And then of course KH 2.5 HD Remix at TGS is pretty much a given. It should look even better than the first HD remix since they shouldn't have all the problems they had with KH1's data. KH2 and obvious BBS's data is more recent so it should be easier to make the HD remix.

Again, eeeeeehhh. That's if they HAVE a boss ready. And everything Gameplay is final. And they decide to show it.

Yeah, not gonna expect much at all when it comes to KH3 this year. The absolute BEST I could hope for is either a short tech demo, new duds for Sora or the first Disney world announced.

Next years TGS is when I guess KH3 footage will get really interesting. I expect much more from FFXV this year.

I wasn't expecting more KH3 news so soon, especially since Nomura thought he announced the game a bit too early. I'm mostly hoping they announce new clothing, I don't expect anything else other than that.

That is a lot to expect. There probably won't even be a fraction of that stuff considering the video we saw at E3 was just a conceptual representation of KH3 for next gen.

They probably have worlds picked out so at the very least that is possible, but D23 is literally a month after TGS so it sounds like the better venue for a Disney world reveal. They'd either do one at TGS and one at D23 or no reveal at TGS at all and then one at D23.

If 2.5 is coming next year, TGS will be spent concentrated on that with maybe Sora's new clothes reveal.

Well Kairi isn't going to end up being the proper lead with the hero's journey attached to her, but I definitely believe they will keep things secret with her until they either reveal her role and outfit in a surprise trailer or in a magazine.

i think we might see riku and kairi design at tgs or at the d23 along with sora new costume also maybe we might get a new trailer if not at tgs or the d23 then at either e3 next year or the tgs next year. 2.5 is going to be annouce at tgs there no question about that and i think we will get at least one world announce there and another at the d23 as well to.

I'm thinking that, as far as info for this year goes, we'll see 1 or 2 worlds only. And just pieces, at that. But the outfits are iffy for me. It took them AGES to finally show the 3D outfits! I think that the chraracters' clothes might be under even TIGHTER wraps, to reveal closer to time.

It didn't take that long at all in my opinion. KH3D was announced mid 2010, and we first see Sora in his new outfit in a brief look at Kingdom Hearts 3D on September 12, 2011 during the Nintendo Conference (but because it was blurry, off screen footage we could not see it well)

With KH3, Nomura seems like he is better prepared and probably spent time designing new outfits early on. (Wouldn't be surprised if he's thrown around ideas for outfits since before KH3D)

If they plan to show new trailers with substantial content, they'll probably reveal some outfits earlier on...

Nomura seems pretty hyped about the models and outfits so I can't see it being kept secret for too long. At least not Sora's outfit xD

We somtimes get the long 8min story trailers at the point, but it could also be a little early for that if the game is still a year and a half away, then again that could hold us off for a while

I do think we'll know some of the worlds relatively soon, but I don't think they'll be Disney worlds. I think they'll be the worlds that are obviously going to appear already, like Radiant Garden.



I do think now is a bit too early to have an 8min story trailer considering I'd be shocked if they have that much done in terms of story cutscenes and gameplay videos. That would tie us over for a long time though considering, if it isn't as bad as BbS' spoilerific one and actually decent like DDD's that left us with many questions, we would just speculate to our heart's content (as we still are, but now we'd just have a trailer to base it off of).

Just expecting new clothes from KHIII for me. I'd rather they take their time on the story than have a premature ejaculation.

Remember first seeing the E3 trailer? It was so beautiful! I can't even IMAGINE playing a game that is that advanced! It won't seem real! (as far as games go)

And the long trailers when they're finished? It'll be almost like watching openings! XD

There's no doubt in my mind that they'll be playing one of those two, but in the announcement trailer for I.5, they also played Musique pour la Tristesse de Xion (Xion's Theme) as well.

I'm hoping they might do something similar with II.5 too.

In the original BBS trailers, they often used Ventus' theme, so maybe for 2.5 they'll use this as the second music piece to indicate BBS' inclusion or maybe they'll choose Roxas' theme/The other Promise, as this will be the first time for the western world to have the Sora vs Roxas battle in KH 2 FM playable.

Dang, how could I forget the arguably most epic song in the series.
Black Powder is a neat battle song, no doubt, but it pales in comparison to Fate of the Unknown.

I know that Terra's and Aqua's themes were derived from it, but that the actual Fate of the Unknown was not used during BBS at all was surely a sort of disappointment.

A small part of me is still hoping that a revamped, longer version of Fate of the Unknown will play during the finale of KH III at some point, with not only TAV being there but all the major characters of the series, main characters and villains alike.

Man, I'm not sure if I'm more excited for the release of 1.5 or TGS. Considering that this is where 2.5 will probably be confirmed and KH3 is gonna get some new info/media, it'll be so awesome.

Isn't it weird to be one of those people? To KNOW that something KH-related disappointed you but your mind somehow rationalizes it and then you end up loving it somehow? Why can't everything work that way?

yup, pretty much haha xD I remember the story synopsis too but only because we've discussed it so much but those 2 things stand out more in my mind than even the synopsis :P

Honestly, I feel like the orchestrated version of Sanctuary would be a really awesome theme for showcasing KH2FM and BBSFM and then they should play "No More Bugs!" during the Re:coded cinematic stuff. But, they'll probably do Dearly Beloved for Re:coded.
