It's almost time for Tokyo Game Show! From the 15th to the 18th of September, the doors to Makuhari Messe International Expo Hall will open for business as companies bring their various games, merchandise, and more for fans to look at and experience.
Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show website recently went live confirming the precense of Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Both Dream Drop Distance HD and Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- will both be playable, no doubt the same demos that have been at previous expos such as E3 and Gamescom. A trailer will also be screened at the event.
With Sony's Pre-TGS conference taking place mere days before Tokyo Game Show doors open, and it being the 1 year anniversary of the announcement of Final Chapter Prologue, will we be getting a brand new trailer the finally confirmed the release date of this Playstation 4 exclusive?

I wonder how they'll let us know when we'll be getting more KH3 news. I doubt they'd stick it at the end of a trailer here, as it's getting close to the time where they'll really want to start pushing 2.8. An updated trailer would be nice, though, as we could see how far the game (and 0.2 in particular) has come since the last video we saw.
It's already been confirmed they'll talk KH3 in winter, so Jump Festa is the more likely event where they'll announce stuff.

Right, I know that. I could have been a bit clearer, but what I meant is I wonder if they'll specifically announce ahead of time when and where they'll give us the news. I also assumed that Jump Festa would be it, but I'm curious as to if we'll get a "KH3 news coming at Jump Festa 2016" somewhere or something to go along with whatever they might announce with 2.8, much like how we got a "KH3 news coming in December" with the last 2.8 trailer. More of a curiously than an expectation.
I wonder if the Demo is the one spread around all the big places like E3 and GameSpot. If not, I see another early world and another portion of 0.2 that we haven't seen.
Trailer wise, more of each game and seeing a little more of Back Cover with Skuld and then.
Side note: once 2.8 comes out and 3 has a release date, the bad title jokes go too. They weren't funny, people made the point.
But regardless and considering I almost had TFS and JF mixed up can't wait.

Since it's due to hit in December, I would honestly be surprised if they don't announce a definitive release date yet.
As for the trailer, I'm pretty much more interested in any new glimpses for 0.2 and Back Cover than anything that has to do with DDD.

They don't usually waste time making new demos. It takes away from development time. With KH games I've only ever seen them stick to one demo build for multiple game events all the way to release.
Yay! I was hoping that SE would release another trailer! I'm more interested in Back Cover and 0.2 then DDD HD. Hopefully the trailer is released to the public and not event exclusive.
I hope they'll announce a release date and a cool deluxe edition.

I'm pretty much on the about soliciting a definite edition with both, previous ReMixes. I WANT MUH GLORIOUS KH ON PS4!!!!!! D:

Meanwhile DDD has some pretty big changes to its mechanics I want to see in action, in particular the fact they said they were tweaking enemy hit stun. I want to also see more reality shifts in practice and just in general all the subtle tweaks they've done/implied but no one ever really gets any good footage to confirm it.

I meant more in general not here specifically. You can only tell so much from one source, having multiple videos to compare and catch things the others missed is nice. Basically I just am hoping if this ends up being the same demo there aren't another like 28 videos all focusing only on 0.2 while ignoring DDD. I actually really appreciate khinisider focused on both, I just wish other sites did the same.
I feel like 3D is something you have to experience. Sure I saw the trailers but actually playing the game in 60 FPS on the Gamescom was so, SO much better and more satisfying. <3

About the ReMixes, now they don't have to 'port' them over anymore (technically), since DDD has all the information.

Hey, my statements are neutral. Negative positives and positive negatives.
-makes a prayer circle for skuld footage, somewhat better graphics, for questions to be answered when back cover finally comes out, and for not too many spoilers in this trailer-
Edit: Oh, and for some sort of collector and/or limited edition with a Chirithy plush, please, because I need my little buddy. And I've been holding off on buying him so far, just on the off-chance that Square Enix might give him to us with a special II.8 order.
I personally cannot foresee us getting a collector's edition for the remaster (I know only one game is actually a remaster), but based on the naming convention, that's what they're treating it as and we haven't gotten a collector's edition for any of the previous ones yet. I don't know if they expect the game to sell quite enough copies to have multiple releases of it, and I'm unsure if they'll have enough time to collect orders and manufacture enough copies of the special edition. Regardless, we're bound to get some sort of preorder incentive. That's how they handled 1.5 and 2.5, and it's what I expect here. Something usable in some fashion would nice, like a keychain or lanyard, but I also like the plush idea, although I'm unsure about packaging/manufacturing time and costs on that one.
That being said, I would totally pay the money for a slightly more expensive collector's edition. I recently cancelled another preorder and freed myself up some extra cash, and would totally pay the extra money for KH. If not, I'll probably just import one of their new merch items, but a special edition would still be nice.

After fans petitioned for it, sure (because they were mad that Square Enix Japan was getting an awesome one and we were just getting a pin at the time)--and it probably wasn't the best collector's edition ever made--but we still got something.
So I'd like to believe that we also will for II.8 (which actually has completely new content, and the prologues and demo for KHIII in it), too.
Welp, I retract my previous statement, I somehow totally forgot that was a thing. I want a collector's edition for 2.8 now.

A collector's edition would be awesome, the only one I have so far is for DDD. I love Nomura's art so an artbook would be pretty great.

But don't you think that showing off a bit of KH3 is good for the marketing of 2.8? I mean, it's called Final Chapter Prologue after all. I feel like showing some KH3 stuff around the time 2.8 releases would help 2.8 sales.

I think closer to December it would be a tactic that would work. But right now? It is too far out to be meaningful.
Instead, they need to start marketing 2.8 on the fact that 0.2 is essentially built to be a demo for KH3. That would grab the attention of fans more than selling 0.2 on the idea that it explains Aqua's journey in the RoD.

I've been thinking this for years, and I really hope it happens.
Watch it not, though. Watch some sort of Kingdom Hearts V-Cast Remaster be in the credits, because Nomura's decided to make it canon and build an HD collection around that, too.
But in all seriousness, a KHIII trailer after the II.8 credits would make the most sense (and would be so amazing and hype-inducing) and I really pray that it happens.
@Master Spockanort I think you've completely guessed everything that will happen at TGS perfectly. OMG. I want all that to happen, actually. Even the Aqua PAK thing--because even though I'd be sad about it, I'd eventually realize I'm fine without buying her (sadly). And at least if this does happen, people can finally get their figure they've been dreaming of for so long by ordering II.8 from Japan, or something (though, of course, it would just be all around better if every place got the same CE).
And Skuld certainly is a goddess, alright. No truer statement has ever been said. LOL. :)
I really do hope that we get some footage of her at TGS (and maybe we'll even see however they're going to implement Player, too), that way she won't be so jarring in the "Kingdom Hearts main girls" gifsets I've been seeing lately.
Don't get me wrong, I love the gifs I've been seeing on Tumblr with all our lovely ladies lately, but when you have everyone else in the 3D graphics (most even in the new, II.8 and KHIII graphics) and Skuld in her 2D Kingdom Hearts Chi style, she just seems a tad out of place.
So hopefully we'll see a beautiful 3D Skuld in this new trailer, so that Tumblr users can update their posts and make them all the more flawless.

They don't have a role whatsoever in the Titles included. I don't think they'll be on the Cover tbh

Donald and Goofy were mandatory for the 1.5 and 2.5 covers because they were your sidekicks in KH1 and KH2. They were also on the original KH1 and KH2 covers so it'd be quite stupid not to put them on it.
They weren't on the KH3D cover though and they even realized that they weren't exactly important at that point themselves at the end of the game so I don't see why they'd be mandatory for 2.8's poster.

I'll mostly be reading updates on news sites.
I'm definitely staying up to watch it. Hopefully 2.8 will actually be at the Sony conference and not the Square presentation. Given that it's a PS4 exclusive, it's more likely that it will be at the Sony conference though.

where else it going to show it at lasy year is was at the sony one and sqaure stuff is for to show more stuff like xv besides how e;se they going to reveal the date plus kingdom hearts is not on the scheldre of sqaure enix plus they reveal 2.8 last year at sony confernce with decembereber date as so why not do that again with a date this time and new trailer
