Watch: Comparison of Japanese and NA Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailers

Fans have been devouring the latest trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3, which was first shown at the end of the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra Concert in Los Angeles on June 10th 2017. The trailer features slight differences between the Japanese and North American uploads.

These changes are primarily gameplay focused where some shots are in different areas, and others feature different attacks being used against the Heartless. They are only small changes, but interesting to see the two videos compared side by side.

Maybe I'm reaching a bit, but... I think this means they're already working on a localization build.

it's pretty likely. it may also suggest it's fairly far along.
they did the same thing for 2.8's TGS trailer.

Yeah I think it's safe to say that they are aiming for a worldwide simultaneous release like what they did for FFXV. The game has come such a long way since the last gameplay trailer, so that 2018 release is looking more and more likely.

I also just noticed that the Japanese version is the only one where Donald gets caught up in Sora's Aero attack. That part had me dying for a solid 10 seconds or so

Not necessarily significant regarding the game's development progress, but it does indicate the localization team is working concurrently with the dev team, instead of after the game is finished.

This just means a speedier localization release, if not simultaneous.

The combo's sora does in second form in the jp vid looks so much better,actually locking on makes a big difference.

Much easier to see Hurricane Period just before Aerial Finish and Magnet Splash.

Sora also performs Aerial Spiral to one of the flying Heartless in the lead up to Rock Titan.

You can see an interesting launching Finisher in the beginning just before we transform into Counter Shield (right after the standard 'blitz' finisher). Looks like a Holy kinda derivative attack with a beam of light.

Also, we see Flash Step just before Sonic Rave. Good stuff.

I didn't notice that! Hold on...*watches again* Oh my, that's hilarious! So it looks like some friendly fire is in.
