- Because it's an awesome blend of childhood sweethearts + awkward teen romance + epic knight rescues princess! Three great romantic scenarios all rolled into one!
- Because Kairi felt comfortable enough around Sora to talk about her fears of leaving the islands on the raft, and Sora isn't afraid to tell her that he's thinks she's changing, which shows that they're honest with each other.
- She makes his face turn red!
- The scene when Sora was daydreaming about dancing with Kairi in Halloween Town was cute.
- She's perfectly ready to jump into a swarming pit of Heartless to save him!
- On the flip side, Sora was ready to raid Hollow Bastion with nothing but a toy sword to save her!
- Most of the other characters either outright ship this pairing or strongly believe in it: Donald and Goofy, Olette called it a romantic story, the Organization, even Namine. And I am a firm believer in giving the people what they want!
- Kairi is Sora's light and his constant symbol of hope. Whenever he's feeling down, he tends to look at her good-luck charm to gain back his confidence.
