The holidays are fast approaching and it is fitting that it is almost time for our annual Holiday Contest! No matter what you celebrate, we at KHInsider want to celebrate the holiday season with you!
The requirements for this contest are similar to last year, however there are some slight changes:
- Due to the Digital Art section only getting one entry last year, this has been merged with the Traditional Art section, hereon known as Stylistic Art section.
- You can only enter once in each of the following categories: Stylistic Art, Creative writing, Song Composition.
- As we are Kingdom Hearts Insider, the entry MUST be about Kingdom Hearts, but cameos/crossovers are accepted.
- Voting commences on the 17th of December and voting will last a week. The entries that make it to the final will be available for voting until the 31st of December and the winner will be announced on January 1st 2013!
- All entries will be judged by your fellow members, and in the spirit of the holiday, please do not make any alternate accounts/get your friends to sign up to the forums to vote as this is unfair and will result in a ban.
- The prize this year will be a brand new award! The lucky recipient will be the only member on KHInsider to have this award and therefore, should feel proud of their achievement!
- To submit your entries, please feel free to send a PM to myself, Sign, Master Spockanort. If you have any questions, please post them below!

So I'm a little confused- I can see that it's a contest that is KH related, and I can also see how art pieces can be made holiday themed... but let's say someone is interested in music, how would someone make that holiday themed? Sounds fun, though- I might actually give it a shot! Haha. :D

Here's an example of a holiday themed song from last year.
On December 25th, once every year,
everyone gets together, to spread cheer,
but some are not jolly, actually quite grumpy,
in which case, their bed may be lumpy.
We sip hot cocoa, heated by Firaga,
awaiting the end, of the Xehanort Saga,
and many who like pairings, would reach the end of their woes,
if Aqua and Terra, were caught under the mistletoe.
The holidays can be quite tedious,
especially dealing with Vanitas,
but it's all worth it,
just ride the wave, surf it.
So end all of your worries,
under the tree, the children scurry,
on December 25th. Enjoy the holidays,
act merry, act gay,
and enjoy this year's last days.
This is small and simple,
so please enjoy it well,
I assure you that III will sell very well,
so this is the end, of this song,
I hope you enjoyed, even though it wasn't long.

Okay, for the Song Composition category... Are we submitting an Audio/Video file?(This is what I'd prefer) And are we allowed to borrow melodies and create new lyrics or must it be an entirely new song? (ex: christmas words to traverse town theme)

Well now I just have to participate! Seriously though, I might try sketching something on my iPad since I'm practicing drawing on it. It will probably look god awful compared to everyone else's, but I might as well contribute

Well, both in a way. There will be a winner in each section, but rather than ending it right then and there, these three individuals will be placed into a final poll to decide the ultimate winner for the contest as a whole.

Of course, I sent several messages to him and to you but didn't get any response. I usually visit the site, but I'm not very active in the forums since I don't have much time because of my work, but I even contributed with the fan wallpaper. As far as I know, it wasn't a requirement to be an active forum user.

And I replied to your messages and told you to contact the one who was supposed to send the prize.
It's not a requirement to be active, but you can't expect someone to remember if you only come back after months of inactivity. Compare that to an active member who would be posting avidly and whose mere presence would be enough of a reminder on its own. Just try to send him another message. I can't deliver them for you if you keep leaving all the time.
If you have any more questions, shoot me a VM or PM. Otherwise lets keep this thread clean for this year's participants.
