It's been years since Twilight Town and Olympus were confirmed to be returning in Kingdom Hearts 3. Since then, we've seen many familiar faces, new and revamped environments, and a variety of boss battles to look forward to. Now in the latest issue of V-Jump, we have a closer look at these worlds with new screenshots, logos, and renders of Hercules, Meg, and Hades, as well as the official reveal of Zeus!

Even though it had already been heavily suggested he’d be in this one, it’s so good to see Zeus officially revealed! Corey Burton will most likely voice him as he has in the past, but I’d love it if they got Rip Torn back! My only slight complaint is that Meg’s skin tone is a little too golden, almost matching Herc and Zeus. Unless she’s a goddess now, her skin should be lighter. Lol.
I love Pegasus’ facial expression and it’s good to know they’re animating the animals well too, unlike some in previous titles.
It kills me that Chaser and I were literally just talking about renders needing to be released soon in another thread and now here they are, but he’s asleep. :P

The models look amazing!!!! Also it’s interesting to note now that Olympus Colliseum is now just Olympus. That makes the second world to change its name, which is odd since Sora called it Olympus Colliseum in 0.2

Even though it had already been heavily suggested he’d be in this one, it’s so good to see Zeus officially revealed! Corey Burton will most likely voice him as he has in the past, but I’d love it if they got Rip Torn back! My only slight complaint is that Meg’s skin tone is a little too golden, almost matching Herc and Zeus. Unless she’s a goddess now, her skin should be lighter. Lol.
I love Pegasus’ facial expression and it’s good to know they’re animating the animals well too, unlike some in previous titles.

Well when marketing first came out when Olympus was revealed in KH3, they were calling it Mt. Olympus. They have settled on Olympus to encompass everything in that world.
Sora doesn't know that he will be going on a grand adventure through Thebes and Mt. Olympus and the underworld in 0.2, so that has to do with why he called it Olympus Coliseum.

I wonder if it’s just this one page spread or if there’s more to the feature? If there happens to be more or in future magazine coverage, I could see them putting renders of Phil, Pain, and Panic together due their similar statures.
This seems to be all there is for VJump, but we might get more in other magazines? But I wouldn't be surprised if they continued to be stingy with character renders and only give us a handful for each world.

And this is why I think new Disney Worlds can be revealed in Magazines. This gives us our first look at Megara and Zeus in KH3.

I don't think this is going to happen. They are cool with revealing new info in magazines because that is just expanding on already revealed worlds, but world reveals will likely be through trailers to make it a spectacle they can get people around the world hyped. Magazine spreads are more limiting since they aren't released internationally and don't have the same reach that digital content does. Also videos are easier to spread and share in general.

It happened for every title pre KH3. They revealed new worlds in magazines. For KH2 a magazine reveal is how POTC, The Lion King, Tron, and Steamboat Willie were confirmed amongst others and in DDD the last KH Title that had multiple worlds, Tron and Fantasia were revealed in magazines.
Why doubt that they could reveal at least one new Disney World in a magazine when the track record speaks for itself and it's something they've done in the past? We likely have at least 2-3 more Disney Worlds left to be revealed magazine spreads can be how they're revealed unless they plan on having Kingdom Hearts directs ala Smash Bros to reveal new worlds via trailers.

Awesome to get a Zeus confirmation. I guess it was kind of obvious he would appear, but still great nonetheless. Hope we maybe get to see some of the other Gods as well.

Actually my hope for world reveals in magazines just reignited thanks to this. Since PGW will just have the demo there might not be as many trailers as I originally thought.

Oof, I'm sure they'll look better in motion. Still, I wish they tried for a cel shaded look for the worlds based on traditionally animated movies. I think consoles are finally at a place where they can do it well.

I don't think it's really a stretch that they could reveal the remaining Disney and original worlds in magazines and have one last big trailer for Jump Festa. That trailer will definitely showcase all of the worlds. If people weren't aware of the worlds shown in Famitsu they will find out in December.

Nomura has already said they can't do livestreams and even participating in SE Presents at events is risky. It's unlikely Hashimoto will bring a trailer to that panel he's participating in considering it's not being promoted at all.
New worlds are revealed in trailers, but trailers are not required to be released at events.

I’m with Spockanort on this one. There may be a past precedent for world reveals in magazines. But it has been almost seven years since that tactic was utilized and the marketing game has changed a lot since then. The only reasons I see them revealing worlds in a magazine is if a) the world isn’t exciting enough in their eyes to warrant a trailer like all the other worlds, which I doubt will be the case, or b) they don’t have showable footage, in which case, yikes...
In my opinion, new world reveals are the best element they can use to center trailers around and they’ll continue to take advantage of the working formula they have until the launch trailer and/or once all the worlds are revealed. Magazine features are great for elaborating on details of the trailers, but they simply don’t reach as many people. But the game has so many elements for the magazines to cover, it isn’t like they’re being shafted or something by not getting exclusive world reveals.

Movie trailers are traditionally dropped at big events. Comic Con, NYCC, GMA, Super Bowl, Prime Time NFL game, etc.
Rarely is a trailer dropped out of the blue. They will always make an announcement. So you basically think they'll tweet something saying stay tuned on such and such date at specific time for a brand new trailer featuring a brand new world.

Even other divisions of SE do it. Look at Just Cause 4 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I think Left Alive has even had that and it comes out after KH3.

Speaking of which, the closer we get to release, Disney could start treating this more like a film release. After Mary Poppins, they don’t have another theatrical film release until Captain Marvel in March. So why not treat this like it’s a big deal like their films, especially considering the quality we’ve seen from the game?

Showing a render of Meg or Zeus is a different story, but the biggest news is going to come from conventions or straight onto their social media channels.

Daaaaaaaamn, I really hope we get one more saucy Hades boss fight in the series. Not just the Titans; one more showdown against Hades himself! Those were always highlights for me in the games.

I think it most likely will. I mean he is the reason the titans are released in the movie so I don't see why it would be any different here. Zeus being in the game is exciting, in general. I look forward to how massive this world is, as it seems huge.

You know, KHII Olympus was strangely disappointing. I don't know what it was about it, but it just felt... off.

Many things... did not stick.
You rememeber KH1 tournaments because it was a selection of enemies from other worlds, and fights were pretty cool (Hades, Leon and Cloud, Ice Titan, an actually though Sephiroth), hilariously flawed (Hercules), or just plain hilarious (Rock Titan).
Of KH II tournaments you remember... the rules. Due to time/points restraints you don't really look at too many enemies you fight, and most bosses are just HP walls. Like, hey, here's Blizzard Lord again. Cool, let's do 47 combos on this enemy that can't hurt me no matter what until it dies.

Damn, that's a cool idea. I'm usually not crazy about bosses leaving the battlefield because I feel like it just breaks the flow, but I could make an exception for this.
Nono wait! What about a QTE sort of thing where he flies in his chariot and you follow him inside the one you make with your Keyblade?

Honestly, just no words that after 3 years and 8 trailers this year we finally got our first official look at the Hercules character Renders (including ZEUS!!!) and more info on what's to come on Twilight Town.
Anyone notice that KH3 render of Hercules looks very reminiscent to his render from Re: Coded, also anyone notice that the KH3 render of Hades he has the smoke coming out of his robe like in the film?
The cutscene when SDG are confronted by Hades seems to take place before the Rock Titan fight judging by the lower levels of the mountainous areas of Olympus and doesn't he look a little taller than his previous appearances?
This is Chaser's lucky day no doubt about it.
So now with Twilight Town and Olympus announced as the worlds for this month's Famitsu, Dengeki PlayStation, and V-Jump Magazines and with KH3 at 3 months of release I'm expected these will be the following worlds announced in the next magazine scans:

Me too, but more than likely they're going to get Corey Burton again given that he's been the voice for Zeus in MOST of his appearances since the TV series just like how Robert Costanzo has been the reoccurring voice for Phil in most of his appearances and not Danny DeVito.
The ONLY time where Disney/Square Enix got the original actor(s) from the Disney film after voicing that Disney character in their initial appearance from the film were Katheryn Beaumont as Alice and Wendy from the first KH game and especially Christopher Daniel Barnes as Prince Eric in Kingdom Hearts II.

Yeah, even though Pain and Panic weren't present with Hades when he was conversing with Maleficent and Pete from the Orchestra Trailer and the Pirates Trailer I actually wouldn't mind seeing them again and play a major role in this world given that they were just "There" in the background in KH2. On top of that, since KH3 now has full voiced dialogue in cutscenes and in world exploration at least we can finally hear Bobcat Goldthwait and Matt Frewer voicing Pain and Panic instead of just having them speak in Speech Bubbles like in KH2.

I agree, SE sure have come a long way when it comes to animating their animated characters ever since the first game. Now that they are using Unreal Engine 4 for KH3 at least you won't have to worry about any more static "fish face expressions" from the characters again. Interesting looks to be a Friday in Central time. Normally it takes 3 days for the magazine scans of V-Jump to be fully posted online. For Famitsu I have a hunch it would be on the day the scans are first posted online just like what happened with BBS and DDD's Famitsu magazine scans.

Maybe Tangled could be shown in Next Month's magazine issue and a perfect way to present the world as November is the month when the film came out in the United States 8 years ago.

Indeed, at least you won't have the invisible wall when your in the area where the River of Styx resides and just imagine Hades Throne room looking very accurate to its original look in the movie.

That would be an interesting idea as instead of the 6 Planets that are aligning the cosmos to create the portal for Hades to release the Titans from the original movie it's the 9 Main Set Disney worlds that create the portal. :D

I really loved Hercules when I was younger. Still do. I didn't know it was kind of "critically panned" until a year or so ago. So glad to see Zeus in here. Would love to see some of the other gods too. And I hope the fight with the titans will be epic and animated deliciously.

An updated Coliseum would be AWESOME! Maybe even do a thing where you earn medals like in the Mirage Arena and can use them to buy special items or a super pricey keyblade. Or maybe that's where they could have another moogle synthesis thing? Gah, the possibilities are ENDLESS!
Just don't make it like the KHII Underdrome. The challenges weren't as fun for some reason, and the paradox cup sucked since it felt like I was doing these challenges just for a spot in the journal that says I did it. And, if you were to make it more specialized like the KHII Underdrome, just make it more creative. It just felt stale after a while. Maybe the Links will be better explained than the summons were in II so the game doesn't just slap you in the face with a summon-based cup.

Seems to be the case, in fact normally the Famitsu articles are released either immediately or a week after the V-Jump magazine scans which has been the case with some KH titles particularly BBS and DDD.
Still looking forward on what New Information is set to be revealed this month for Olympus and Twilight Town. I also expect the same thing will happen next month where the next magazine scans are dedicated to Kingdom of Corona, Radiant Garden (if the world is playable) and perhaps the new Disney world or whatever was reveaedl from PGW or the Luca Comics KH3 panel by Shinji Hashimoto.

A lot of the previous footage to me seems to match with Phil's island like with the statues and broken statues and other remnants everywhere. We haven't seen anything that looks like it could set in areas between Thebes yet.
I'm just wondering now how much of the world we really haven't seen yet. Can't lie that i'll be a bit disappointed if it only amounts to Mt Olympus - zone - Thebes - zone - Phil's island or w/e that place really is.

Thebes itself shouldn't have a loading screen when you're there, the Mountain shouldn't need one while your there, and Olympus shouldn't need one while you are there but they all should require one when going into new locations, just like 0.2.

I don't agree, while you can argue that the ruined and broken statues look like we are on Phil's Islands it isn't the case in fact when people played the Hercules demo from the PlayStation Showcase before it was removed by Square Enix, It started off with SDG arriving in the City of Thebes before they head into the mountainous areas of Olympus which is where the Giant Zeus statue reside before culminating in the Rock Titan fight
Even the areas that Sora explored in the E3 2015 trailer and where SDG fight the Rock Titan fight doesn't seem it's taking place on Phil's Island it's literally Olympus.

Oh no that area you are talking about with Sora climbing i always knew was separate from whatever that other place is. It's pretty easy to see the distinction.
Always knew that dark area with the Rock Titan was just the mountain of Olympus Sora was scaling. It's just the other place with the statues, river, foliage etc i always assumed was Phil's island.
I have no problems with the zone/loading. What i meant is i'm just really hoping they don't skip the whole area between Thebes and Mount Olympus like they did in BBS. In BBS you can see the whole landscape from the Coliseum but you just zone right into the Town near Thebes, never being able to explore any of it.
I'm hoping we actually explore those areas instead of us zoning straight from Olympus to Thebes again this time. Especially with how apparently big this world seems to be.

One of reasons i thought it was Phil's island was because in that Phil island pic one side is higher than the other and it kinda made sense to me that area could be the same place because how Sora was climbing one side higher than the other in the older footage and even when he's jumping down it looks like you can see water surrounding in the distance. Though that's what it looked like to me.
