Yeah, still can't believe the Xehanort VIP Quests. Also, Chicken Little as Tier 7? Why tho. It's ridiculous.
But the Icy Frame looks pretty rad, so I guess that's cool.

Chicken Little is an interesting medal. It screams "Roll EA40 on me!" Given how much that would nerf foes' offenses as well as raising the counter by 2. Pair that with something like EA40 HPO and/or HD Zexion and you could tank some serious stuff. Not going for it myself though...Xehanort may have broken me last week, but I'm not going after VIP again if I can help it.
Another Raid Week without the Level Cap unlock. Mrgh...even worse considering I have a DD setup that one-rounds the thing at Lv99 and nets me just under 9mil lux a pop during double time. AP costs or not I could be grinding some nice levels, but nope. Makes it feel like KHUX is stagnating, at least on the Global side of things.
On the bright side, the new Pet Parts are really nice. I look forward to snagging that Falling Snow one in about an hour. UC Bonus time means a ton of coins. So glad they expanded the number of bonus times for that.

Yeah, January has been pretty weak all-around. Although they'll probably have something planned for whatever is going on at D23, I doubt it's going to be particularly big? Hopefully things will pick up after the Taiwanese version releases in a few days, as I believe that's been the main reason for the lacking content this month.

Yeah, could be that they're just preparing for something big, so the updates just havn't been that great. Still, I'm just glad to get the ice frame for my character in global, really loved that design.

The Ice Frame is a beautiful avatar part, but once again it is locked behind a useless perk which makes it not so viable.
Although I have been using the falling snow avatar part even though it's only useful for certain situations. Skill perk isn't as needed as it used to be. Especially now that the pet's HP recovery activates 100% of the time, and for the vast majority of situations you don't need more than that unless you're really weak.

True, here's hoping. UC won't be engaging anytime soon, it only took me one bonus time to get enough coins for all the boards. Was expecting 2 but...dang.

Well, the actually interesting/fun stuff might be sorta absent, and I'm annoyed by how yet again they've neglected that second broom board in multiplayer, but... the gem boards are actually being useful for me, since getting a few of them (couldn't be bothered with Ducktales after the first pull) has meant I got my first 0.2 Riku, and... my first glowing keyblade! Starlight, because I can put IKairi at the top.
I really don't feel the need to compete in the rankings, or the desire. Like, it takes a lot of time and effort I could and should be spending on other things, and I just can't be bothered anymore. I used to be able to, somehow, but I haven't been able to in ages.

Well, this week might be a bit boring, but I don't mind. It's nice for a change not to prepare for something upcoming that's super duper broken and of course and EX so you either get it by luck or by money or you're basically out. It's been quite some time that I could just save my jewels for something good that might appear or not appear without having to feel terrible regret when I got weak and did some wasted pull somewhere. Since I stopped paying at the end of last year, I feel a lot more relaxed now. I don't feel the extreme nervousness before rolling traits on the VIP medal anymore because I don't feel like I lost something when I don't get what I wanted. Ux has become boring and repetitive, yes, but you can also gain fun by that.

Shouldn't the Taiwanese version get their own dedicated team to maintain the server and content, etc? So that wouldn't actually explain the lack of content as of late.

On another note, I caved and pulled from the Reverse Banner twice because I had hopes of pulling another Xion so I could justify putting M&Bs on her (didn't wanna waste 4 on her). Eh, I got Zexion instead :(
Other than that, I like the slow week, though I wouldn't really call it slow because of the Raid thing and all... gotta stack up on Chip and Dales since I have a perpetuate shortage of them :( I don't even expect to get the Icy whatever, sadly, that's way too much grinding for me.

The game is still being developed by Bitgroove Inc/Success Corp, and it's not like SE has a Taiwanese office anyways. I'd guess there's a separate group of staff to oversee community and PR, but the core of the work is still done by the main team.

^ This. Or at least give us a reason why his name needed to be "Brain" instead of "Blaine," especially considering this R and L thing has caused multiple errors throughout the series. The name is pronounced one way, they chose to go with a specific spelling for it, and one that would not have been anyone's first guess upon reading the katakana.

Not sure. Personally, I think the JP branch will handle that version given the teasers showed the current Agrabah stuff that Global doesn't have. Would make more sense IMO, but it's just a guess.

As you said, global has plenty of fuel to make fun of them for, but the name Brain was decided by the Kingdom Hearts localisation team so it's not even a KHUX Global thing.

What I don't get is why this apparently bothers you so much. At my place people are still joking about Marluxia being gay and Donald not healing (things you still hear around here from time to time, same thing with the "now in development". Claiming nobody uses it anymore means ignoring a good percentage of the world population).
But if I decided to start a crusade against them the only thing I'll get would be focusing about it and getting more needlessly frustrated.
I don't decide what people can or can't joke about or a joke's expiration date.

Brain is one of the dumbest name choices this series has given us, and that means something based on how ridiculous some of these names are.
If it has actual plot relevance then they have had 7 months to show it to us but they haven’t. It is a ridiculous name that should absolutely be changed.
The ‘localisation team’ that decided this is also the one who ignored the plot relevance of ‘guilt’, and even the social media team behind KHUX uses the term ‘guilt’ when discussing it.
Just face it, intentional name or not, it is an absolutely stupid name to give a character.

I've covered the KHX series since the beginning, and I haven't seen such worldwide dislike for a localization change until "Brain."

I agree, although I feel like the problem isn't the "Okay I believe you" meme (which I still find hilarious, in all honesty), but the attitude of people constantly going "IT'S NEVER GONNA RELEASE IT'LL BE DELAYEDDDDDDDD" on anything that's somehow related to KH3, its worlds, its release or whatever, which they do use that joke for, but really, if it didn't exist, they'd use another one and it'd be equally annoying.

Fact: Brain sucks as a name.
Fact: It is a very valid criticism to critique the name choice.
Fact: The localization team has made many mistakes, including “Special Attack Bonus†when it should have always been Guilt.
Fact: There are many jokes that suck with this fandom including “Okay I believe you†and the insufferable “KH3 is never coming outâ€, and pointing out Brain in a joking manner is not one of them.
Conclusion: Brain is a shoddy localization choice that deserves critiquing, and making jokes of it is harmless unlike other tired jokes that actually go against logic.

I discovered this joke only now thanks to Fudge, so my opinion about it might not be very relevant.
But I'm familiar with how far mass fans take these things (answer: way too far), so while I find it funny I get the frustration, especially under KHI tweets.

I only made it into the top 10k once when I first got my Kairi Ex (+copying her) but since then, there's been such a peak in the Coliseum and never again... Right now I'm somewhere around 16k i think :( Seems like it's mandatory to copy her twice and/or have other Ex-medals up your sleeve to compete.

Right now I'm somewhere around 16k i think :( Seems like it's mandatory to copy her twice and/or have other Ex-medals up your sleeve to compete.
Not that I'm super good or anything (I'm around 3000 or so, but I could go further), but you can try to reach pet rank 5 if you haven't already. That gives you a second second chance (lol) so you can try to kill the enemy in three rounds which is quite a lot. I only have two EX medals myself (Kex und Xex), but made good use of that two Premiums debut deal. I'm probably saying you things that you already know, but well, can't hurt.

i actually have a very easy to copy set up tbh, pretty sure every player here can do it mostly, but i have vanitas as medal one, kairi as two days riku max guilted no traits as 3, copycat xion as 4 with poison, my fift medal is Halloween sora from one vip with ground and plus 1000, and illustrated goofy with ground, i had to use 10 fantasia bs to do this but its works, if you have final form sora it would be a better option then halloween sora, but alsoi know the patten and out of the 10 levels you have to keep killing, the one with the giga shadow the plane and the flower, just keep beating that over and over again
Yes, but you can't just keep going to that round alone. The pattern I've taken with this coliseum is two turning the round before (it has an Invisible on the left), and then one turning the round you mentioned.
Coliseum has admittedly gotten a lot tougher. The amount of HP bars have certainly been adjusted for Kairi/Xion EX.
I use a setup of:
Fairy Stars (+36)
HD Namine with Extra Attack
Illustrated Kairi EX (no traits)

Even with that setup I'm stuck with those two rounds and can only one turn the second one, and I'm not even midway through Tier 15. My setup sadly does have quite a weakness I just realized recently - HD Xion does not do the amount of damage it needs to because HD Final Form Sora works best on Slot 5, meaning that she activates him on slot 4.
Also my Donald really deserves an ABVMax, but I need an SP gauge one for him for obvious reasons, and the only one of those we've seen so far came through those super expensive Meow Wow avatar boards.

Yes, but you can't just keep going to that round alone. The pattern I've taken with this coliseum is two turning the round before (it has an Invisible on the left), and then one turning the round you mentioned.
lol you are right though that is what im doing, considering this is my first time ever in top 1000 i have no regrets, but from your end you seem to have me out classed by having a times 6 upright XD i have a chance to guilt ff sora with air for slot 5 but illustrated ht sora is doing all the work esp being copied by xion,
Angry adventure was amazing I was having fun with my friends playing to farm for free medals and know I stopped entering multiplayer a lot because there’s no farming medals in those weeks

Not that I'm super good or anything (I'm around 3000 or so, but I could go further), but you can try to reach pet rank 5 if you haven't already. That gives you a second second chance (lol) so you can try to kill the enemy in three rounds which is quite a lot. I only have two EX medals myself (Kex und Xex), but made good use of that two Premiums debut deal. I'm probably saying you things that you already know, but well, can't hurt.
Yeah I've managed to get to pet level 5 thanks to Halloween Donald and a few pulls here and there. I still died last time with two Second chances, though admittedly I stopped playing and didn't really try yet to adjust my set up further.
I'll just lump the rest of you up into one response x'D I think it boils down to me needing a different Keyblade, I've been using Starlight on Level 34 since it suited my pre-Kairi EX setup the best but Fairy Stars might be better now :s I'll try to make another setup with it (I think it's on Level 26 or 27, chronic speed gem shortage :() and try the Coliseum again. And I don't go for VIP nor do I ever manage to win the HSC (except for the 2 Halloween Donald medals), so I those medals are out :/

I still think Pinky is a bad name, Brain was decent enough. You all assume Blaine would/should be his name. Yet I think you would have still been unhappy if they called him Brian.
It's a game, stop the OCD and live a happy life. Go outside, plant a tree! But if your going to stay sour about a name in a game, you have bigger issues you need sorting out.

I still think Pinky is a bad name, Brain was decent enough. You all assume Blaine would/should be his name. Yet I think you would have still been unhappy if they called him Brian.

All people did was make a reference to it when they made another localization error...like I dunno, if someone here was constantly bringing it up in every discussion this comment would be warranted, but since I don't believe that's the case you're just kinda screaming into the void here, dude lol.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here just stating the obvious. You want to complain about a few interpretations, be my guest. If you really want something to complain about try Michael Bay's mighty morphing giant robot movies.
Personally I'm glad i can play Kingdom Hearts for free (if I choose) on my tablet. To me that's worth every misspelling in the world.
Or, maybe they do it on purpose so that die hard fans explode information onto the web and people read about KH. (and start playing the game) it is free PR for sure.

They made yet another translation error. We made fun of it, honestly because the frequency of these mistakes makes it too easy. If you find that so intolerable, then I'm afraid these discussion threads will be quite frustrating for you.
