NOTE: Should you use multiple Medals that grant an increased SP attack bonus during the same turn, the effect will not stack. ■ About Trait Medals
・Trait Medals will only yield a new trait or one Special Attack dot when they are fused into their corresponding Medal. Trait Medals have different stats and abilities from their corresponding Medal.
・Trait Medals are not equippable on a Keyblade due to their high cost. While they can be equipped as a Pet Slot Medal or shared, they are not suited for, or intended to, use as an attack Medal.
・Each Trait Medal is worth 15 Pet Points.
・Should you receive a Trait Medal from a deal, it will come marked as being "BOOSTED."
・Trait Medals and their corresponding Medals share a slot in the Album.
・During a High Score Challenge, or other event, where a Trait Medal's corresponding Medal is a Score Bonus Medal, the Trait Medal will also give the same score bonus.

Not at all justifying what they did, but they may have done this as some ill-conceived, preemptive damage control for a potential onslaught of JP exclusive content. Maybe they’ll sleep better at night knowing they gave us a little banner before JP when people inevitably complain the Global isn’t getting the content JP is probably about to get?
For all we know, there’s potential that the Classic Kingdom games, new world, and more could all be introduced into the JP version this month or at least announced. When better to do that pre-KH3 than the third anniversary? And Global might not get those things until right before or even after KH3 releases considering the current state of imparity. Again, not saying this was remotely a good idea; just seems like something they would do given their pattern of strange and backwards logic.
Also, I don’t like that they made KH3 Riku a Speed medal like KH3 Sora. Seems like he should be power.

It's not about the content; it's about the way they announced it. They basically went over to JP's house more than a day before their birthday party and opened all of their presents. It's rude. Nobody doubted that Global wouldn't get JP's anniversary content, but they could have at least waited for JP to make the announcements first.

Again, not at all justifying what they did. It was a trashy move. I’m just assessing their potential reasoning for it. This is on SE as a whole. I doubt SENA released the banner without SEJP approving it and providing the assets (unless SENA released it early erroneously which is 100% possible.) The company as a whole profits off it, which is likely all they ultimately care about. I compare it more to a parent giving their second born the first slice of cake on the first born’s birthday because they think it’ll stop the former from throwing a tantrum. Not a good parenting move, in my opinion, since it fosters a negative sense of entitlement.
However, we still don’t have those Campaign Coins which were supposed to drop at midnight, so I won’t be surprised if this is just some big all around screw up. It looks like they wanted to time the Riku banner in Global to end when the Demyx event starts. Maybe they’re wanting to save it for JP when the new trailer might drop on the 10th? Maybe there will be a KH3 SRK banner set or something that Global won’t get? Idk.
Also, what was the 2nd JP anniversary like for Global? I wasn’t following the game back then to know. But considering this is Japan’s 3rd anniversary, I wouldn’t use Global’s 2nd anniversary as an exact model for what this should or shouldn’t be. Rather, this anniversary should set the new precedent for the Global 3rd anniversary next year. But maybe they really just don’t care about precendent and are just throwing things at us to see how they can capitalize the most. *sigh*
At the end of the day, we’re all getting shafted by Square Enix in both versions, so I don’t think players of either version should be attacking one another over this like I’ve seen elsewhere.
