I feel like my mind was blown by Kingdom Hearts answer. Or the fact that Arumon did something for Riku after everything he put him through. And I'm happy Soror can finally come back as a human being and rejoin her brother. I'm both sad and happy with the results of how the battle went down between Sora and Atra to deem who would become kingdom hearts next. Which actually makes me wonder a tiny bit... Who was kingdom hearts? Or was it truly just an entity? I like that nobody had to die in order to become kingdom hearts either. Yet apart of me feels sad knowing this is the end of this story, unless there's an epilogue after it? Overall, I'm incredibly satisfied with the journey this story took on including the process of what turning into kingdom hearts is like.
Not the answer you were expecting? Riku was the only other person Arumon actually liked, mainly because he was so similar to Soror, so I think it was right that he did something nice for him. He didn't have to, though. Sora could've made a transcendent body just as easily. But there really wasn't anything left for Arumon. He knew Sora would make sure Soror was happy and that's all he every really wanted. I think you'll love that scene. I think that was my favorite part to write, since it called back to why Atra first wanted to fight Sora, and wrapped up the arc between the two of them.
Kingdom Hearts is the heart of everything. All hearts come from, and eventually return to it. So it would make sense that it could feel feelings, too. Think of it kind of like a parent, with humanity being its children. It could easily come, tell its children their wrong, and punish them for it, but if it did they would never learn. They had to make mistakes, learn from them, and grow. It's a little more complex than that, considering how many types of people were involved, which was it did consider reseting everything, but after seeing Arumon go so far it knew that humanity would be fine on its own. Humanity does have the potential to do so many things, whether good or evil, but its that potential makes them what they are. And with Sora having all its power, and deciding not to use that power to meddle, humanity is completely free to decide its own path. Whatever that path may be.
Well Arumon died, and there were some other casualties too, but we'll get to that later. There's still a tiny bit more to go. We have Atra meeting Soror again, what Sora's going to do, then what everyone else is doing. But Chapter XIII will be the last one, and it'll be from Atra's point of view, it won't be very long though. I think it's only right since it started with Atra that it ends with him.
