I would've just bumped the old thread: http://forums.khinsider.com/kingdom-hearts-iii/187228-revival-hypothesis.html
But it be old and full of derailed stuff so! Time to start anew~
To begin let's copy, edit a bit and paste the original OP:

To begin let's get the often proposed notion that the Master Xehanort we see in DDD is time traveling out of the way.
Now as pointed out in the vid itself, after the destruction of Ansem and Xemnas, rather than Terranort/Apprentice-Xehanort being reborn as you would expect, it was Master Xehanort himself that returned upon their destruction.
And given YX's statement that he is his "most future self" we know that the MX is the tried, true, and present Xehanort.
Which is further supported by this ultimania quote:
What this specific ultimania question is addressing. We know that their revival brought back Xehanort but it purposely leaves you to question where Terra and Eraqus went during the process.
The final coffin in this MX is time traveling notion though, as well as what brought me to redo this theory, comes from this recently scanned and translated character chart from the Memorial Ultimania:
Here's the link if the full image doesn't show: Simple File Sharing and Storage.
Or rather let's take a look at this specific portion here:
Notice what I'm seeing? That info box to the left, the one that says "after ascertaining the revival of Master Xehanort's true body".
Granted this is a fan translation and I know a word in Japanese can have several meanings but usually the meanings are all of the same or similar thing. Such as the Japanese symbol for the Lingering Will's name, it can be interrupted as lingering "thoughts", "will", etc. Their all correct interruptions of that word.
So given that I doubt the phrase "true body" would be to far off the mark when we see so much other support for the notion above.
BUT MOVING ON
This is not what's important about this theory, oh no, you see this isn't about Master Xehanort at all.
Why I'm pointing all this out is because it's not the fact that MX returned after the destruction of Ansem and Xemnas but that he done so in his true body separately from Terra.
And while we know Terra is separated now it's also confirmed/stated by MX that Terra is still under his control from his passing statement that "two on your list already belong to me now" referring to Terra and, if he had succeeded, Sora.
Which means that even though they are separate Terra, to be under his control still, must have a seed/piece of Xehanorts heart/darkness remaining within him like all the other seekers/vessels do.
We know this heart-seed remains with the host post revival too. Just take a look at Braig post revival from one of the secret Coded movies added to 2.5:
Notice his eyes. He still has the yellow Xehanort eyes and pointed ears post revival that he did before he became a nobody which he gained in BBS by becoming MX's vessel.
Now I know your probably asking why I suddenly shift from proving MX's and Terra's separation to pointing MX likely still controls Terra as well.
Well it's because that within the being that was Terranort/Apprenticenort there was another, often uncredited heart, Eraqus.
When Eraqus was struck down his heart went into terra which is confirmed by MX in BBS' Blank Points vid during MX's and Terra's inner conversation.
Seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdfl9qN2EKc&feature=player_embedded#t=0
The entity that was Terranort (the Apprentice) had one heart amalgamation that was made up of three individual ones.
Catching on now? Yep the direction I'm going with here isn't solely Xehanort or Terra but Eraqus.
After thinking about all these details new and old the question once again has popped into my head.
"If Ansem and Xemnas' defeat lead to the revival of not only Xehanort but Terra, separately, restoring Xehanort to his true elderly form/body as well as restoring Terra to his own form then is it possible that this revival also did the same for Eraqus?"
And if so then is it possible that Eraqus is also now under Xehanorts control? They all shared a heart for well over ten years which would've given him plenty of time to "nort" Eraqus as he did with Terra.
With those questions in mind your likely pondering or wanting to ask, people usually do, "if recompletion restores the respective heart to it's true body then why would the revival of MX, Terra and Eraqus be delayed till DDD when they all hold different bodies?"
Well there's several reasons for that, 1st is:
The (false) kingdom hearts of men
The kh fashioned by Xemans was created by, somehow, taking into itself the hearts freed from heartless. Somehow, through unexplained means, Xemnas was gathering hearts freed from heartless and trapping them in his false kingdom hearts.
What this would mean is that it's incredible likely that several of the hearts freed by Sora over the course of KH1 and 2, namely the unseen ones belonging to all the apprentices was probably trapped there as well.
There's also the varying times each nobody was destroyed to factor in as well. Remember both the heartless AND nobody (if their is one) must be destroyed first.
Naturally this false KH wasn't truly destroyed till Xemnas himself was at the end of KH2 which finally freed all the components of MX, Terra and Eraqus allowing re-completion to finally start.
My second reason also comes from the chart in question, specifically this part:
Even though Ansem was no longer a heartless after his KH1 defeat he still remained within Riku and as we all know Riku wasn't truly purged of Ansem until DiZ's encoder exploded in KH2.
This means either the hearts within Ansem (those hearts being Xehanort, Terra and most importantly Eraqus) weren't freed till that moment and likewise Xemnas' own fall wasn't long after explaining not only Xehanort and Terra's simultaneous return but also the return of the other apprentices.
Of course this theory depends entirely on if Eraqus even has a physical body to return to at all. Unlike MX who willing cast aside his body, Eraqus was wounded and then fatally struck down from behind by Xehanort and began to fade away when he made use of one of his master abilities and sent his heart into Terra's in either a desperate bid to save himself or his student. *perhaps both*
That said though I would like to point out that rather than dropping dead as a man that's been struck down should, Eraqus' body vanished in the very same way MX's or even Sora's did when both discarded their respective bodies.
So having digested all this and thought it over what do you think? Do you think Eraqus could be one of Xehanorts victims in the vessels game he's got going on?
Or are you hoping Eraqus body actually died from the wounds it had thus leaving Eraqus tied to Terra and hopefully finally passing on in KH3?
What's your thoughts on this revised theory?
But it be old and full of derailed stuff so! Time to start anew~

To begin let's get the often proposed notion that the Master Xehanort we see in DDD is time traveling out of the way.
Me from a bygone thread debate said:I re-watched some DDD scenes for some clarity and even here:
MX says all his vessels were meant to appear to "welcome his return as a complete person". Notice his says "return" and "complete person".
He's practically stating right here that he's MX again as he's returned and complete as in he's returned to being a whole person after so many years.
His heart has returned to his original body thus why he says he's "complete". If he was time traveling from any point in time he wouldn't be returning nor would he have just become complete as he was already complete in bbs.
Now as pointed out in the vid itself, after the destruction of Ansem and Xemnas, rather than Terranort/Apprentice-Xehanort being reborn as you would expect, it was Master Xehanort himself that returned upon their destruction.

During the revival, what happened to Terra's body, and Terra's heart that was in opposition to Xehanort's control? In Kingdom Hearts, Birth by Sleep, it is to be considered that it was thought the whereabouts of the heart of Terra's master, Eraqus rested within his body.
