Rumor Control: KH2FM in Europe; KH3 in Feb?

It is time for a nice batch of rumors, we have some interesting stuff today!

What's the Deal?: First up, a release date list for Dutch Playstation Magazine, lists Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+ for a 2007 release in Europe. The magazine includes no official confirmation, and the list itself is very mediocre. Considering Final Mix anywhere outside Japan has been denied multiple times, this is rather baseless.

Fact or Rumor: It's just another magazine not doing it's research first. We're putting this one down as a rumor.

What's the Deal?: Chris was lucky enough to attend the E3 Expo a few weeks back, and managed to squeeze some info out of various Square Enix and Disney representatives! He wrote about it on his webpage here. (There is also info on Smash Bros, Red Steel, and Star Wars.) An excerpt below:

Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement. Sorry fanboys (of which I am one), no word of the platform or any concrete info. All the demoers at Square Enix told me they had been told nothing about the status of a third Kingdom Hearts game (and none of the developers I met spoke English). However, a very high-up source at Disney Interactive Studios (I'd rather not name the position) told me that, if memory serves, there should be an announcement around February. While that person didn't seem extremely sure about the exact date, it does confirm it is in development. I did get the impression that it is not very far along, however (probably due to the fact that the Kingdom Hearts team is working on Final Fantasy Versus 13).

Fact or Rumor?: I trust Chris did indeed made it to E3 judging by his website, but some things to clarify, we already know that the next Kingdom Hearts game will be announced at the Tokyo Game Show in September, and will NOT be called Kingdom Hearts 3. Could these reps be talking about another Kingdom Hearts game? I'll put this one as half fact, half speculation.
