Zag Toys introduces new merchandise, Kingdom Hearts Domez, for fans to collect. It will feature 9 characters which include the King, Donald Duck, Goofy, Sora, Roxas, Axel, Shadow, Jack Skellington, and a "special rare variant chase figure". Each character will be packaged individually in blind bags.
They can be purchased on Amazon for $5.99 each.

It legitimately puzzles me how much KH merch Jack Skellington gets...I don't get it he's like arguably one of the LEAST important Disney characters in the series. Yet something about Jack Skellington sells like hotcakes, he's all over hot topic and most people I've seen wear stuff with him on it have never even seen "A Nightmare before Christmas". He's popularity is one of the greatest mysteries in life to me.

Meh, not even the slightest bit interested. Even if I had extra money to spend...
I had no idea that "Domez" was even a thing. These are pretty interesting regardless though. Ya know, minus the derpy faces. Yet despite that Donald looks like the best of the bunch.
I doubt I will buy any of these. I'll save my money for other merch like the Aqua PAK and Funko Pops.

I mean blind bags are brilliant from a marketing stand point. People see a figure that they want, and then they go broke getting every figure but that one. I personally really like these types of things, but they aren't something I indulge in much unless I know the chances are in my favor.

I notice how western merch companies tend to prefer using their KH2 designs and especially Jack Skellington lol. Although I tend to see Jack in Hot Topic stores.

I actually always wonder if its really necessary to have kh merch with disney characters. I mean yeah, Mickey, Donald and Goofy are really important for KH but I can go to any toy store and get merch with them. I actually have "Mickey is my bff" pajama and its from ordinary clothes store.
And its really bugs me because here in Russia KH is almost nonexistent and only figures i saw here in game stores are Mickey, Donald and Goofy. We have Pop, these things, play arts etc with them... and in comparsion with them original kh chars almost dont have anything. Damn we dont have official aqua merch other than upcoming play arts figure. Only fans are saving situation(

Nah, seriously, Jack is there because his design is loved by an enormously wide variety of people, even non-Disney fans. Same for his entire movie.
I would say his popularity is neither a mistery nor undeserved.
These blind bag figures are tragic. Americans, take note of Japan. I have the best Naoto figure I got from a blind box for $5. She even speaks and looks fucking cute and badass.
They (Sora, Axel and Roxas) look so bootleg....especially Roxas. What even is going on
Zero interest in these because the human characters' expressions remind me of Jay Jay the Jet Plane.
The Shadow is probably the best of the lot, likely because it doesn't require facial details.
And, yes, Jack and TNBC is an absurdly lucrative property. That's why Halloween Town will never leave the KH series.

For some reason, Jack Skellington is really popular with edgy teenagers, a.k.a Hot Topic. And these things will probably be sold there.

I see you joined Jan 2017, welcome to KHi. To answer your question, yes, we definitely need more Sora. Given Square Enix's main merchandise line (Play Arts), through it's history, has released 16 Sora figures and only 1 (soon to be 2) female KH figures, we must never forget that KH is Sora's franchise.
If any child goes to sleep at night forgetting that, some worker in the deepest part of SE's Merchandise Division postpones all future releases for 2 years and makes another Sora figure.
