Here at KHInsiders, we are always keeping our eye out for Kingdom Hearts tidbits, no matter how small. Checking at the local bookstores, here's a roundup of Kingdom Hearts name drops in the mainstream American gaming magazines.
EDGE Magazine - June 2008 - Something About Japan The article relates how Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ topped Famitsu's 2007 games of the year, a list dominated by other Japanese titles. It goes on to ponder if a Western title will ever top the lists in Japan. While not directly related, the article did contain a screenshot of Sora in the Land of Dragons. |
Electronic Gaming Magazine - July 2008 - TWEWY Interview EGM contained a short interview with a developer from SquareEnix's The World Ends with You, where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was mentioned. When asked about the battle system of World in comparison to that of KH:CoM, the director replied that they were similar because the same team worked on it, but he believes the outcome in World was fresh and original. |
2008 PSP Yearbook from PlayStation Magazine - PSP Game Planner Under their anticipated games list of 2008, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep was listed with a 'to be announced' release date. While listing it with other 2008 releases is extremely optimistic, its nice to see that some magazines are keeping their eye on the KH compilation games. The article also included a summary of KH:BbS, pictured below. |
