Hey kiddos! Oathy here, it's been a while. I'm here with a small bit of news on the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack front. The KH score composer, Yoko Shimomura, is going to be featured in Gemaga Magazine's upcoming video game music feature. She's seen in the picture on the right holding a copy of the Kingdom Hearts Complete soundtrack.
Shimomura-sensei has been in the forefront lately, with the release of her brand-new album Drammatica, which featured orchestral performances of some of her more memorable and evocative pieces from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. These included The XIIIth Anthology, The Other Promise, Destati, and Twinkle Twinkle Holidays. The first two songs were remixes of the Organization XIII themes and Roxas' KH2:FM+ battle theme, respectively, while Destati brought back memories from Sora's awakening in KH1. The last, of course, reflects the silly Christmas atmosphere of Halloweentown-turned-Christmastown in KH2.
Thanks to the Gemaga Blog and KH Ultimania for this little tidbit of news.
