• Sora, Donald and Goofy meet, and set off on an adventure to find Kairi, Riku and the King.
• Sora and Kairi meet again, although Sora temporarily becomes a Heartless.
• Roxas is born. He becomes No. 13 of Organisation XIII.
• Sora and the others triumph in their battle with Ansem.
• Sora and the others finally manage to meet Riku and the King again, but the two of them stay in the Realm of Darkness in order to close the Door to Darkness.

• Sora and Riku each fight the members of Organisation XIII that are in Castle Oblivion, and triumph.

• Roxas, who defects from Organisation XIII, is caught by DiZ.
• After seven days of summer vacation, Roxas goes to sleep.
• Sora, Donald and Goofy awaken from their sleep, and set off on a journey once more.
• Sora and the others manage to find Riku and the King again.
• Sora and the others face Organisation XIII in a final battle, and are victorious.
• Sora and the King and the others return to their original worlds.
• The King, Donald, Goofy and the others perform an analysis on Jiminy's Journal where something strange has occurred.
• A letter from the King arrives where Sora is.
