Back in May, rumors began floating around about KINGDOM HEARTS 3 Riku, Mickey and Vanitas Funko Pops. Although there was never any confirmation, the rumor eventually received more support when a database listing for these figurines surfaced in July. Now, thanks to @disfunko, we have our first look at KINGDOM HEARTS 3 Riku, Mickey and Vanitas

How did Vanitas get one before TAV
I am legit angry that our first ACTUAL KH villain Funko is Vanitas...and not even cool looking Vanitas but black coat Vanitas mixed with his black helmet for possibly the most boring Funko ever.
I usually don't like Funko Pops but I'm loving that Vanitas. I guess it looks better to me because you don't see the perfectly spherical black eyes. I'm buying!
How did Vanitas get one before TAV
When TAV is finally included I'm hoping they get a secondary set that have them in armor. And Dark Aqua with the tattered clothes, purple limbs, and red hands eventually needs some merch.
The Vanitas Funko is the coolest of the bunch.

I decided long ago not to buy KH3 at a video game store. I just don't wanna run into like... Gamers. I'd rather just interact with the product itself on the big day instead of a bunch of people buying it. That and I want the day to be perfect and no perfect day has ever involved a trip to Gamestop! I'm probably just going to pick it up at Best Buy or Wal-Mart, grab some EXQUISITE breakfast, get home and play play play. Making it a morning thing will be perfect for me!
I do want some of the mini figures, but Funko Pops don't really do it for me, usually. They make great gifts though!! I've bought Funkos for my roommates, and since there are Pop figures of every franchise and character in existence (besides Kairi) they're very easy.
On the topic of Vanitas, I wanna make a big boy prediction so I can get an award-- they're hiding his face because he's either going to look more like KH3 Sora, or he's become monstrous over the years as Ven has slept.

I am not discarding the idea that Vanny will have a different face in KH III, despite how iconic his look is by now.
I'm also thinking him stop being a villain can happen, this is the second time that his theme gets placed under "Heroes and Heroines" in the KH Orchestra.

I wonder if a Marluxia pop would be holding his scythe or a Keyblade. Which makes me wonder what all the different characters' keyblades will look like in KH3...
I like the Heartless, but hopefully they make Meow Wow and Komory Bat someday, since they represent Sora and Riku to me. <3
What if Vanitas does have a different look in KH3? Then Funko Pops made the helmet detachable so those who bought the figures can see his new look before the game release! :O

lol. I’m going to assume that Vanitas was fully norted when he was resurrected, probably to stabilize his shattered heart. Vanitas would have white hair, very tanned skin, pointy ears (if his ears are shown >.>) and still his golden (Xehanort) eyes instead of his original appearance. In a nutshell, Soranort. After all, Nomura did say that Vanitas’ resurrection was unusual (along with the nobodies) or something like that.
Now that you mentioned “father/mentorâ€, I really want MX and Vanitas to have a father/son bonding moment. Xehanort haven’t seen Vanitas in 10 years ;(. They should hug each other, a cute reunion after being separated for a decade

I'm sure they'll both have a lot of father/son bonding moments when their X-blade gets forged and laugh together happily as they watch thousands of keyblade wielders kill each other in another war.
Oh and the rest of the Nort family can watch too I guess.

Vanitas definitely looks the best one and the Void Gear turned out great, will have to get a pop of Vanitas since it's like the only official merch of him lol.
But in all seriousness guess I'm going to have to wait for hopefully a version with the bodysuit. But at this rate I'm starting to get doubtful considering the amount of milking they are doing of SDG + Mickey.

They watched the Monsters Inc trailer, saw Marluxia's flowing pink hair, then saw Vanitas' plain black dome and thought "Yeah, we'll pick the latter".
It's still weird how short Riku's description is. While the others like Vanitas and Soldier Heartless do a great job in explaining who and what they are, Riku's is basically "this is a character that exists."
These look... Well, cute, but. Riku's hair. Is it supposed to be before the style change? Or after? It doesn't look spiky at all, like someone poured a bucketful of water on him. D: Plus they definitely should do something about that description, there's a bunch of info they could add.
Mickey looks good! I like his pose and the outfit looks less full than the KH II one.
As for Vanitas, I have mixed feelings. Somehow they managed to choose the most unfortunate clothing decision the boy ever had (he still manages to look cool tho). Honestly, they could've pretty much just modified Sora's model and recolor it... Well I guess it kinda makes sense since the boxes say "Kingdom Hearts III", and that was the first outfit we saw him wearing. (can't get over how Vani looks all baddie but fits on the palm :'D)
How is Funko choosing what characters they make into pops anyway? Fan favorites or something? I really hope we get other characters too, we're drowning in different versions of Sora.
Oh my, I love how Vanitas gets the most description, and Sora and Riku's both are just like a sentence.
