Hey everyone. A happy Easter to all of you!
Today we are launching our new Colored Manga Scans page. Our excellent graphics team has taken images from the Kingdom Hearts Manga and colored them for distribution and use. Feel free to use them in any way you please, just make sure to credit us!
Next up, we would just like to clarify things. This is mainly due to widespread speculation, but we are reporting it now. The names of the female knight and young male knight are being speculated to be Aqua and Ven respectively. Something important of note that we would like to point out, their names mean Sky and Sea in Latin, similar to Sora and Kairi. Is there a connection here or is this a coincidence?
A small bit of news, in their "Top Ten Videogame Resurrections" Feature, 1up.com was quick to mention Sephiroth at the number 3 spot. Looks like some people are tired with his continuous appearances in games. What do you guys think? Would you like to see Sephiroth fights return in future KH Games?
Lastly, it is time to announce our first Featured Theory of the Week. We've received many submissions and have been reading through each and every one. This week's winner is Chris, age 15. Congratulations! If you would like to read Chris's theory, please click read more. You can also discuss his theory here. If you think your theory should be featured, send us an email, or post it in the forums!
Chris's THEORY
1) This obviously takes place in the past, in another world, during another
time, with an entirely new group or set of people. We can clearly see at the end of the trailer that Mickey is wearing a
different set of clothes, similar to the U.E.M., and is also weilding Star Seeker,
which can only mean he just finished training with his master, Yen Sid. (In
Kingdom Hearts II, Sora recieves Star Seeker when meeting with Yen Sid).
As we remember from Kingdom Hearts I and II, the prophecies tell of a
keyblade weilder "who saved the world" and another "who brought destruction and
chaos upon it." I think this stroy is on a whole new group of people in a whole different
world, that mainly focuses on the keyblade weilder who brought destruction and
chaos, in this case, the U.E.M., who we can clearly see has a keyblade with a
keychain attatched (Officially making it a keyblade) along with incredible
powers that he is using to bring destruction to the chracters here.
2) Each of the four main characters in this trailer (B.H.S., F.S., E.S.,
U.E.M) are all keyblade weilders. The crossroads are present in this trailer,
and as we all know, the four paths of the crossroads represent a different
keyblade and weilder: Light, darkness, twilight, and dawn. Each of the characters comes from a different path and obtains a different
keyblade.
The keyblade they use represents the path they are from:
U.E.M. = New Keyblade = Darkness
B.H.S. = Riku's Keyblade = Dawn
F.S. = Mickey's Keyblade = Twilight (In this case it would have to be,
U.E.M. has darkness)
E.S. = Sora's Keyblade = Light
Each of the four shown here are obviously keyblade weilders and have come to
stop the new threat that is emerging. Mickey is also a keyblade weilder, for he holds the Star Seeker. What path
he represents is unknown, and there may be more than one keyblade weilder from
each path, but it may be later we discover this.
3) The hundreds of thousands of keyblades that are lying on the ground
cannot be keyblades because they do not have keychains. I was more than certain a
keyblade had to have a keychain attacthed for it to be a keyblade.
I believe this is a keyblade war because the four people shown in this
trailer are fighting for one cause: To see who is the best weilder, and probably
which side (light or dark) is the most powerful. The heroes of light (E.S.,
F.S., B.H.S.) come and stop the darkness, while the darkness (U.E.M.) tries to
destroy the light. Simple, basic, and classic theme; as we see it as the main
theme in thousands of other games, movies, shows, etc. (The battle between
good and evil)
I also believe that the three soldiers shown here (E.S., F.S., B.H.S.) are
of high rank, and sent many soldiers into battle to destroy the U.E.M. When
they see their soldiers have failed and were all defeated, they journey from the
different paths of the crossroads to fight the threat themselves.
4) The E.S. is Xeanhort. As odd as that may sound, I can explain it.
The soldier you see in the video is very reminiscient to the Xeahnort we
know in Kingdom Hearts II during a clip when he interupts Ansem the Wise.
We see that the E.S. has the same temper, facial hair, and eye color as
Xeahnort. The E.S. begins as a powerful and helpful soldier, who tries to bring down
and stop the U.E.M. But as we see in the trailer, he fails and is filled with rage at his
failure. If Xeahnort is E.S. then we can see that Xeahnort was a keyblade weilder and
was very powerful until he was almost killed during the keyblade war.
After the keybalde war, Xeahnort was found by Ansem the Wise, and was then
given treatment until a full recovery, although Ansem the Wise discovered
Xeahnort lost his memories.
(My theory) As Xeahnort begins to recover his past memories, he begins
asking questions such as "I must know what this keyblade is" and "A key opens
doors" such as the Ansem Reports in Kingdom Hearts I.
As Xeahnort begins to remember the keyblade war in the past, he soon
remembers how he lost the war to the U.E.M., and how he almost died. This brings a
great rage in him, as we can plainly see in the trailer.
Xeahnort then begins to study how to become powerful again and how to weild
a keyblade again. He strays into the depths of darkness, giving his heart over
to the darkness, thus bringing about the heartless of Xeahnort (Ansem) and
the nobody of Xeahnort (Xemnas).
This obviously changes our hero E.S. from this trailer to more of a "bad"
guy then a good guy.
When Xeahnort discovers the power he has as a heartless, I believe the
memories of the U.E.M. takes over Ansem's body (Xeahnort's heartless) and begins
to use him for his own powerful will.
As Riku was taken over by Ansem (Xeahnort's heartless) I believe that in
this movie, Xeanhort himself can be taken over by U.E.M. somehow.
5) In this story, there are split elements to the characters, in which the
characters can split parts of themselves whenever they feel like they want to
(Complicated? I'll explain).
In the beginning of the secret movie on the US version of Kingdom Hearts II,
we see that the E.S. is fading back into himself, almost in the opposite way
that the U.E.M. splits himself into two, making the D.S. and the U.E.M., in
the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix+ trailer.
The E.S. fades into himself slowly, and then looks to another direction for
F.S. In the Final Mix+ trailer, we see U.E.M. split himself to create himself and
the D.S. These two elements and attributes of splitting and becoming whole are
connected to the story in someway
6) The U.E.M. is definitely linked to Ansem (Xeahnort's heartless) In some
way, for they both wear the exact same outfit, and represent the same path
(Darkness). The D.S. is also linked to Riku in some way, for he wears almost the same
outfit as Riku as well.
