I sort of get it for Nintendo. They are probably waiting for their own Switch 2 announcement and save games for that.
But SE is a third-party developer and not having a single game felt weird.

Damn, I agree it’s weird that SE had no new announcements. Sure they got the Rebirth port on the calendar for January, but what are they going to release next after that?

I guess they are going to wait it out until the Switch 2 reveal before announcing anything else.

ASTRO winning is massive. to be a bit hyperbolic, it's everything Sony and the Playstation brand work so hard to reject and put out of focus. it isn't wordy (only the words "I am Astro Bot" are ever heard), it isn't full of motion capture TV stars, and it puts mechanics and player control before anything else. it's not the only way games should be made, but to me, it beats the fucking shit out of the we don't say 'fun' directorial style that so many of Sony's games seem to follow these days.

They swept the fucking awards front to back and they did it with a minimal-scope 3D platformer developed by a small japanese company. They need to keep that in mind moving forward.

It's funny how Geoff hyped square up during Summer and they really didn't show much. I wasn't expecting really anything, but at least the two announcements were neat. If this summer has no sort of KH4 trailer then I think that is a bad sign and it would be quite obvious that something happened with the development of the series as he may implicitly have stated.

At this point, I think KHUX desperately needs a better way to be available and easily absorbed than KHML right now. The fact KHUX can only be experienced through youtube or if you downloaded the app while it was up is quite frankly ridiculous to me.

I’ve heard nothing but praise for Metaphor and I’m about to play it myself. I personally think Persona/Atlus games are overrated but I’m willing to give it a chance. But yeah, I’m also surprised by the little Rebirth got.

I’m sure Metaphor is a good game but I hated my experience when playing Persona 4 and 5 so much that I can’t bring myself to playing it.
