I think Dream Drop Distance should’ve had the Nightmare Dream Eaters be entirely enemy-only Dream Eaters. That way, it can be easier to create Nightmares that are more overtly themed around the worlds you’re visiting.

Castle Oblivion is pretty gargantuan. Does that mean Land of Departure has many hidden floors and rooms? We still know so little about that strange place.

What Castle Oblivion has doesn't reflect what Land of Departure has.
This,
Castle Oblivion is only big because Aqua made it big. The Land of Departure's secret allows a master to alter the world to their specifications, so if Eraqus made it a palace with living quarters, a training hall and library, that is all it will have unless he wants it to have more. If she wanted, she could've just made the interior of the castle an empty room with a locked entrance, but she didn't.

I've been watching Regular Pat recently and in his DDD world ranking and KH4 world watch videos, he mentions that Meet the Robinsons would've been a natural fit for DDD due to the game being a home for lesser-known Disney movies. That made me realize that, were it a world in that game, you could have Sora exploring the good future on his side, and Riku exploring the bad future on his side.

That place. The place with the thing.
So I read something on how third person pronouns are used in the Japanese language:
While third person pronouns do indeed exist in the Japanese language (kare for he/him/his, kanojo for she/her/hers), they're almost never used in actual everyday speech. Most of the time people just repeat the proper noun or omit the subject/object of the sentence altogether and allow context clues to do the rest of the heavy lifting for them. In fact you can go days, if not weeks, without using either kare or kanojo and it somehow feels perfectly natural.
"Kanojo" is a word I instantly recognised thanks to 358/2 Days: from the scene with Namine and Diz that had the "surely she won't be able to handle it"/"she?" exchange.

But I wonder, since kare and kanojo are not commonly used in every day conversation, does Namine suddenly switching to this pronoun in the Japanese dialogue not come across as… jarring or just really random to a Japanese speaker?

Remember when Europe and Australia had to wait another six months after America to get KH2?

Seriously, what was that about?
We've never had a simultaneous release yet, I don't count KH3 as one even though Europe broke street date en masse lmfao.

It's because of EU language translation, and for KH1 and KH2 they were dubbed in EU languages, and even after they still would dither about subtitling. There was a big fuss when DDD was missing out on some languages and Australia is part of PAL so they're unfortunately tied to us

Then why was the wait for KH1 only two months?
Brother there's legit 3 hours of cutscenes in KH1 and they only did French and German dubs. KH2 had something like 13 hours? Pretty much every game after KH1 had significantly more cutscenes and text

If Kairi was playable in Dream Drop Distance, I think a good way to differentiate her Links from Sora and Riku would be to give her some magical girl-esque forms modeled after a few Dream Eaters.
  • These forms are full outfit swaps themed after certain Spirit Dream Eaters
    • Genki Form (themed after Meow Wow)
    • Valkyrie Form (themed after Komory Bat)
    • Princess Form (themed after Wheeflower)
    • Cheer Form (themed after Jestabocky)
  • These forms are recolors of Kairi’s (hypothetical) DDD design that resemble Sora and Riku’s respective KH1 designs
    • Limit Form (a recolor based on Sora’s KH1 design)
    • Dawn Form (a recolor based on Riku’s KH1 design)

I figured it would just be different elemental limit breaks ala Days.

I think instead of just reusing the BBS arrangements of Shrouding Dark Cloud, Destiny’s Force, and The Encounter, DDD should’ve made new arrangements of the following tracks:
  • Squirming Evil
  • Tension Rising
It can keep the BBS arrangement of Rowdy Rumble, though.

Snarl of Memories is still a mystery:
I bet the original plan was to explain this and use it for some kind of story in Volume 2, like when Riku was spying on Roxas and Xion. Maybe now it will be moved to Missing Link and/or Kingdom Hearts 4?

Here's my shower thought. Xion's memory connection with Sora has been severed. But the Snarl of Memories event shows she also has a memory connection to Riku. Somehow. What if that memory connection hasn't been completely severed? What if Xion gets visions of what Riku is doing in Quadratum? What if this connection somehow leads RAX into following Riku into unreality?

However unlikely, there exists an above 0% chance of Master Odin, Marvel's Odin, and FF summon Odin all being on screen at once.

Maybe they could make a deal with Sony to have GoW Odin appear as well.
