Halloween Town

Upon their arrival in Halloween Town, Sora, Donald and Goofy quickly learned that, not only were the town and its inhabitants on the spooky side of the spectrum, but they were too, transformed by the world's magic. The trio made their way into Guillotine Square, to discover smoke in the distance and a group of Heartless awaiting them. However, instead of acting upon their natural instincts, the Heartless were stagnant. The strange phenomenon turned even stranger when the Mayor announced the arrival of the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, which then caused the Heartless to act together to create an entrance for Jack. It appears that somehow, he had been able to get the Heartless to perform!
Curiosity sparked, Sora, Donald, and Goofy followed after Jack, hoping to learn more about what he may have done in order for the Heartless to react as such. They found themselves in a strange laboratory, where Jack and his acquaintance, Dr. Finkelstein, had reached a standstill in their experiment. They were trying to create a heart for the Heartless, believing that this component would allow the Heartless to act according to Jack's wishes. The only thing stopping them from moving forward was the heart itself, enclosed by a lock, to which they had no key.
Sora, intrigued by the notion of seeing Heartless dance and the possibility of not having the fight them if this experiment succeeded, kindly volunteered the use of his skills, and unlocked the heart. All that was left to do was to combine the other elements: pulse, emotion, fear, terror, hope and despair. Yet despite all this, the experiment still failed. The doctor concluded that they might still be lacking ingredients, and sends everyone off in search of his assistant Sally, who had the missing memory component, and the Mayor, who knew the whereabouts of their surprise element. Sally however, was reluctant, and did not believe the plans would go well, but her pleas went unheeded.
The missing pieces of the puzzle obtained, they returned to the lab, unaware that they had been overheard by three mischievous children, Lock, Shock and Barrel, who proceeded to steal the heart immediately after its completion. Without further ado, Jack, Sora, Donald and Goofy begin their mad chase to retrieve the heart, and they were led to Oogie Boogie's Manor. The party chased the children through the manor, only to find them toss the heart down a tube and out of their reach. When the trio was defeated, they admitted that the entire scheme was Oogie's idea.
With even more incentive to confront him, Sora and the others fought through wave after wave of Heartless, and found the door to the Oogie's Torture Chamber, where he was sure to be waiting for them. In front of their very eyes, Oogie consumed the heart they had so tediously worked to build. He called out for the Heartless, became enraged when a mere number of two appeared, and decided to confront the party in battle regardless.
The party proved to be more than a match for this bag of bugs, and with a rip of his seams, he emptied out, leaving behind the shell of his former self and the heart, proving the heart to be a failure. Suddenly, the manor erupted with great clouds of smoke, becoming alive with the remnants of Oogie and the power of darkness. Everyone return to finish the job, exterminating every source of darkness and preventing Oogie from making a comeback, thereby bringing his once proud mansion crumbling to the ground, as if there were never any traces of its existence.
In a great turnabout of events, the Keyhole revealed itself to be exactly where the manor once stood, and as duty calls, Sora points the majestic weapon forward and locks it, his work in this world completed. With their goodbyes said and done, the trio continues their journey, back into open space in search of Riku, Kairi, and the King.
