While searching for Master Xehanort in Radiant Garden, Terra happens upon a strange sight: an elderly wizard clad in blue robes suddenly appearing in a magical cloud of smoke. In his haste to return home, he leaves behind a book, titled 'Winnie the Pooh', of which Terra sees fit to return. As it turns out, the book does not belong to the old wizard, named Merlin. However, it does have the ability to awaken a person's true abilities. Curious, Terra opens the book and is engulfed by a flash of light. True to the wizard's words, a strange warmth surges through his body, and he departs with newfound strength.
As he chases the α Armor Unversed through the city of light, Ven is intercepted by Merlin, who came out of his house complaining about the noise. Seeing the young Keyblade wielder, he becomes ecstatic by the thought of another visitor and invites him in, assuming he had come to inquire about the mysterious volume and awaken the powers within. Ven peers through the pages before being swallowed by the same light that had engulfed Terra. With this new energy coursing in his body, he continues his pursuit.
Aqua strolls through the streets of Radiant Garden, that once undiminishing look of determination and confidence now gone after her argument with Terra and Ven. Her somberness is disrupted by Merlin's voice, who was expecting the third and last of the three wielders to pay him a visit and inspect Pooh's book. She enters his house, intrigued by this peculiar tome and inspects it cautiously. The book emits the light once more and surrounds her in it, and once dissipated, a concentration of power can be felt flowing through her entire being, spurring her to move onwards.
