Upon seeing that the good and kind Geppetto wishes so desperately for a child, the Blue Fairy gives the gift of life to Pinocchio, and promises to turn him into a Real Boy if he can prove himself to be brave, truthful and unselfish. In order to oversee his tuteledge, the Blue Fairy appoints Jiminy Cricket to serve as his official conscience.

Pinocchio, however, becomes separated from Jiminy and is trapped in a cage by ne'r-do-wells in the Pleasure Island theme park. The Blue Fairy appears, and asks Pinocchio how he became stuck in his predicament, but Pinocchio lies causing his nose to grow. The Fairy releases Pinocchio from his cage, and returns his nose back to normal size. Warning him to return to the path of the straight and narrow, and that this is the last time she can help him.

Shortly after, the Blue Fairy warns Pinocchio that his father has been swallowed by Monstro. Pinocchio and Jiminy dive into the sea in order to save Geppetto. Fearing that this won't be enough, the Blue Fairy asks Sora to watch out for Pinocchio and to keep him safe.

Sora and Riku release the Blue Fairy's world from slumber, and return it to the Realm of Light where the real Pinocchio has made good on his promise and has become a real boy.
