Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito: a sk8er boy with a soft side and bleeding heart. In his world, his existence came to an end and he was forced to play the Reapers' Game. This version of Beat came into being when Joshua, as a last-ditch effort to keep something of his friends alive, placed the remnants of Beat's sister Rhyme's dreams into Traverse Town in the Realm of Sleep - to his surprise, dreams take a physical form in the Sleeping Ream, and Neku's group were given a second chance at existence. Since coming-to in Traverse Town, Beat's been desperate to be reunited with his sister and game partner, Rhyme. He picks fights left-and-right with Riku and Joshua in an effort to prove his strength, but ultimately conceeds that it's not helping. Later, Beat and Rhyme are finally reunited, but a Dream Eater stands in the way of their return home. This Dream Eater can jump through realities, but thankfully Sora, Neku and Shiki help corner the monster in their reality - and it flies off to another world at the last second. Riku and Sora promise to destroy the Dream Eater, and end their new friends' mission once-and-for-all. Beat promises to wait for them in his hometown of Shibuya. |
