We finally have some details on the mysterious "10th Anniversary Box" that appeared not long ago on the Square Enix e-Store alongside the release of the KINGDOM HEARTS EDITION 3DS and the base release of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance software. Although there are only 76 tracks on the KH1 Original Soundtrack, Shimomura actually composed 99. Why 99? Because she didn't want to have more than 100.
All together, Kingdom Heartshas over 15,000 individual sound tracks in the game. Note that sound tracks include things like the sound of footsteps, the clinking of the Keyblade's keychain, and other sound effects.
Today has been a music-filled one, hasn't it!

Kingdom Hearts series composer, Yoko Shimomura, will be accompanied by Takeharu Ishimoto who composed songs for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and is famous for his work on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, The World Ends With You, and Final Fantasy Type-0. To whittle them down, worlds were chosen based on popularity, if there were interesting characters to play as, and if there were interesting places to be in, in that order.

The soundtrack for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is scheduled to be released on April 18, 2012 in Japan. This 3-disc soundtrack will be stuffed full with tracks from long time Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura as well as tracks from The World Ends with You composer Takeharu Ishimoto!
