Update: Square Enix has confirmed that no official release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 has been announced.
It's not every day that news for Kingdom Hearts 3 appears out of no where, but it seems like today is different! Famous voice actor Bill Farmer, voice of Sora's companion Goofy, took to Twitter to say that there's a Kingdom Hearts game is coming out in 2015 - and that it might be Kingdom Hearts 3![/sum] But bear in mind that voice actors are some times not told the full extent of what they are recording - Ben Diskin, voice of Young Xehanort, was even laughed at by one of Dream Drop Distance's translators:
"So dude, what is this game series about?" And he just started laughing. He's like, "Dude, that's like asking if I had the cliffnotes to Shakespeare. I can't just summarize the entire game series!"
It's best to take Bill's word with a grain of salt, since work on Kingdom Hearts 3 appears to still be in the early stages, since worlds are still being chosen and the footage from the North American and European launch events looked unfinished. We've supplied some of Bill's tweets below for your viewing pleasure.
In my opinion, it seems Bill might be thinking about the work he did on Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (which would have been done in 2010 and 2014 which would explain the "we've been doing it for years" line) but anything is possible at the moment!
