What a surprise! While I'm sure we've all been at the edge of our seats for the past few days waiting for the countdown on the new THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU website going down, this little update snuck its way onto the Square Enix e-STORE! Although they have since edited and removed the initial summary that accompanied the preorder page, we've learned that this soundtrack not only includes original pieces from the game, but also the remixes from KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance] and new arrangements from the upcoming iOS version releasing in North American and Europe in 2012.
Thanks to the amazing Zephyr, we have a translation of the summary that was removed:
This subaseka sound is powering up its arrival again. The World Ends with You was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007. It was praised for its quality of the game, quality soundtrack, and it has received a very high rating. An iOS version of the game will be released in North America and Europe in 2012.
This product, in addition to new music for the iOS, music that was arranged for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] has also been included. Please enjoy this music again, for the memories of the hot summer spent with Neku.
But lets not count our chickens before they hatch! Lets see what this countdown is actually for when everything is revealed on Sunday.

Thanking Zephyr was the only positive thing I could say then because I feel a bit disappointed because of this early leak but we must remember there might be more at the end of the countdown.

Right now, it looks to be a part of the actual countdown. Whether it's the main event, or just a side show, we don't know.

We're not sure to be honest. It really has terrible timing, and the summary actually being a leak and having been almost immediately removed doesn't help. In any case, ignore whatever rumor is flowing around that the countdown was confirmed to be for this iOS version. Let's just wait and see what happens on Day 0.

Despite my dissapointment I guess I should be happy that it'll be available for a much wider audience now.
But it does make a lot of sense... since Nomura has been incredibly busy with his 3 games, and Kando usually works with him in animation, I didn't understand where they found the time to make a Twewy sequel haha
Oh well, hopefully some new concept art comes with this?

It's just for iOS? I don't even have an iPhone. I hope they release it to android too, sometime in the future.
Also, when Nomura (if he is working on this) said he was working on a game for iOS, (or something like that) maybe he was talking about this instead of KH?
Man this is so exciting. I hope is an ISO game as well as maybe something else. But we'll have to wait and see. Only two days left XD!

I'm okay with this... I guarantee the music is gonna be enhanced for iOS so it'll sound amazing... But how are the controls gonna work? o_O
I really hope that there's a 3DS sequel and that the iOS port is just to get people ready for a possible iOS version of the sequel.
As long as it isn't on the Vita, I'm fine with whatever they do.

I'm not sure if they did or not since I don't really like iOS games, but if they did do a countdown for that, I disagree with that as well just as much as this.
Also, I'm curious too as to how the controls with work. I'm staring at my brother's Iphone now and I can't see TWEWY fitting on such a teeny screen (I don't have an Iphone hence my brother's <__<). I mean, I've played like Street Fighter on the iOS and that thing is terrible, I really don't know how TWEWY is gonna pull it off. I can see the touch screens and accessing the menus, etc. but are they are just going to remove the top screen because the game would be near impossible to play if they had to somehow fit a touch screen D-pad on that screen with the touch as well.

I thought that bringing TWEWY cast to KH:3D was Square "testing the waters" I think the iOS poert is just to give TWEWY a wider audiences and hopefully more fans...

"It's a Beautiful World 2" was the title. Not really sure what happened to that. I assumed we were waiting for a screenshot of this code or something to see for ourselves?

This came from a Go Nintendo article where the writer was given a link to a download for the bgm music on the website (containing multiple versions of Calling), with the folder labelled "The World Ends with You 2 [It's a Beautiful World 2]." So he jumped the gun on that even though the title could have been easily edited by anyone.
The writer has since posted on NeoGAF apologizing for the mistake, and even gave a link for the download.
And if you peruse that topic, you'll also find other useful information, like the fact that most of Square's countdowns end up being minor things like iOS/browser games or soundtracks.
Let me just say that you shouldn't be expecting anything big from the countdown.

Or a sign of them trying to still keep people interested in the countdown. Like with the Playstation All-Stars roster leak (or most of it), the company tried to keep interest in the game with some sort of spiel about how it doesn't fully show off what the game offers...blah blah blah...IDK, not really following the game (never did).
I'm going to wait for the countdown to finish before losing all hope. But I'm definitely less hyped than I was initially.
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be...
