I just want a ton of JRPGs for Vita and PS4. Anything KH related too.

I don't Kingdom Hearts Unchained is going to be a big topic, i feel like thats just to appease everyone who wants Chi in english. Not sure about the PS4 remakes. A lot of people want it but it feels a bit unnecessary.

Personally I wanna see more PC releases since thats realistically the only type of game Ill be able to play. Maybe even a remake of Xenogears since that games production was so rushed and Square does hold the rights to it.

That is pretty much the reason why Unchained exists, so westerners can play it 8D

Even with 1.5 and 2.5, the series is still split up across multiple systems. A PS4 remaster would be the perfect opportunity to properly get the entire series together (especially since they can't justify a standalone release for a 3D remaster), and it'd help with KH3 development due to their lack of experience working with new-gen.

KH χ[chi] is being re-released on smartphones because of English speaking gamers. Tetsuya Nomura WANTS the game to be available for the international KH fandom because he knows it holds lore key to KH3's story. They're even testing the game over here in the North American region. And the mobile gaming market has been facing through a rapid growth and leaves a lot of profits, especially here in the NA market, so announcing a mobile game such as KH Unchained χ[chi] wouldn't be too much of an announcement for it.


No, it is not unnecessary. Some people (like me) are waiting for the inevitable re-release of the ReMixes on the PS4, seeing as how they'll adapt the graphics and FPS to the PS4, and they will more than likely correct those glitches the games had. And besides, it's probable that Sony might announce the PS4 Slim, which always comes at a lower price, meaning I can ditch my PS3, get a cheaper-newer PS4 and get the even better ReMixes. :33


I concur. Xenogears suffered from a rushed production during the last bits of the story because part of the Xenogears personnel got transferred to work on FINAL FANTASY VII.

Final Fantasy XV hasn't been listed on the 2016 fiscal year ... strange.

I believe so. Absolute latest I see KH3 coming is Spring of 2017. Hopeful for Spring of 2016 though...

I believe we can see FINAL FANTASY XV being featured on e3 this year. As to its release date, I think a conservative guess would be Q1, or Q2 of next year. KINGDOM HEARTS III, meanwhile, it can make an appearance on e3, but not as very attractive as FFXV's. In regards to its release date, I estimate Q3, or Q4. Square Enix wouldn't want either game to overshadow the other.

@ballad of Caius they noted franchises of there and reboots do I mentioned chrono trigger to rustle jimmies and hold out hope.

They confirmed in the last Active Time Report that they'll prepare a trailer for E3, but XV will not have a major presence there. Rather, its next big appearance will be at Gamescom in September.

From KH, I really hope something KHIII related. Story teaser, gameplay clip, new outfits revealed, I´ll take anything. Also DDD HD would be really cool, and I think the 1.5 and 2.5 PS4 versions would not hurt either. :)
I think the big stuff will be saved for the D23 event, but seeing something in E3 would be nice.

At this point I'd be surprised if we don't get any mention of KH3 or at least any KH related news at E3 next month. This is the perfect time to give people a good amount of information of what to expect from the future of KH.

Square, please don't be a shit and pull any sneaky tricks. Just show some KH3. I don't want another year of remaster coverage.

I feel like people are forgetting that making games within a reasonable amount of time gets more difficult with each new generation, especially when they have the scope of today's games. Be patient and give the developer the time to make a great game. Can't wait? Fill up your time with indie-games that are also more than worth your time.

Given how the X/X2 Remaster on PS4 had a save file transfer, I'm hoping for having 1.5 and 2.5 for PS4 with transferable saves, as well as a DDD HD for PS4. If they give us that, then E3 will be great for me as far as Square is concerned. I'm not expecting much in terms of KH3. I also expect maybe a short teaser and maybe release date for Unchained X.

I don't think they'd make a full on remake (although I'd love one with how the cast looked in DDD) but I mostly meant take an enhanced version of the Solo Remix and put it on 3DS (with Shiki playable again, since I believe she was not playable in Solo?)

A million yeses on the FFXII: Revenant Wings remake thing. I loved that game SO much (even somewhat better than FFXII itself, tbh), and though I'm like the only one who does, someday seeing it in glorious HD before I die would definitely be a welcome thing, imo:)

Since we're talking early Final Fantasy remakes, I wouldn't mind a FFIV: Complete Collection-style remake of the original FFIII, with the original game mechanics and all. I feel like we're missing an entire game in the series outside of Japan and all we got was its lookalike?

Kingdom Hearts PS4 remasters?! Oy-vey, what's the point?! Also, how come the next Tomb Raider game is only for XBox One, when the previous one was for both PS3 and XBox 360!?!

Rise of the Tomb Raider is an Xbox One timed exclusive with the ps4 version most likely coming out a few months to a year afterwards depending on how long the agreement was for.

Microsoft and Eidos/Square Enix made a deal for Rise of the Tomb Raider to be a timed exclusive on XBO and 360. Neither company can speak about it coming to other consoles later until the deal is over (the duration of which remains unknown).

Honestly the entire deal was done based on poor market predictions that XBO would have a stronger start than it did. Tomb Raider (2013) had a huge marketing budget, though, so partnering up with Microsoft probably made a lot of sense at the time in order to save Eidos/SE money in terms of marketing and publishing.

To fix the issues present in the original ReMIXes, as well as allowing players who didn't get a PS3 to play it (and hopefully a Remaster collection for Xbone players). Also, for them to sell a DDDHD Remaster without it being by itself (if they don't go with the other suggested route, being DDDHD + KH3 demo).

Is there any chance the Remix Collection will come to Xbox One. I'd like to see that announced if it's possible (I'm guessing Sony has licensing deals with KH1 and KH2). Atleast a KH3D for Xbox One. I'm just perplexed as to why it's being released for the Xbox One when a lot of the users haven't played the original titles.

Regardless I want to see:

Pretty sure Sony doesn't have any input whatsoever on KH1 and KH2, especially since Sony ended up selling their stock in SE (or something along those lines). If anyone really has the power on saying where it'll go, it's probably Disney.

While it would probably help it sell even further, I have a hard time seeing them putting it in that specific kind of collection because there's already so much in it (doesn't mean they couldn't, though - I'm just saying I find it unlikely).

First of all, I absolutely love the avatar! Miss that show so much, especially the first 5-6 seasons.

Second I am all for Revenant Wings. I think it should be in a HD Remaster with the original FFXII just like FFX and FFX-2 were. I have been itching to play the game again, but I am waiting because I am pretty sure there will be a Remaster of the game soon. Sadly, I never got the chance to play Revenant Wings because of the console it was on, would love to play it!

And FFXIIHD with a remake of RW (or at least the cutscenes for it) alongside it is seriously my dream, too. I'd also love it if they'd throw Fortress into there (that was originally supposed to be the third FFXII game, but got scrapped), but I'd be more than content with just FFXII and RW together:)

And here's hoping you will get to enjoy RW in the future=) I know a lot of people didn't care for it, or didn't even play it at all, but I actually really adored it. I felt like the game had a heart that the original FFXII didn't in some regards. And faults that FFXII had (like Penelo's backstory getting cut from what) is somewhat sort of addressed in RW.

IDK. RW just a lot of fun, with a pretty nice story to it (though maybe a bit childish) and some nice side quests, and... I just really like it.

It was also nice to see Vaan as the star for that game, because even though he's the playable player in FFXII, he so not the lead of it. LOL.

@Ballad of Caius You're most likely right, sadly. But, hey: if SE suddenly does want to start taking their tech demos seriously, I sure wouldn't oppose it! -remembers the FFVIII one they did for the PS2, and how I'd love a remake of FFVIII-.

I think I mentioned this before, but I really would love to see a KH Thetrhtym game. It would fit really well. Just think about it: The EMS songs for 1 and 2 could be the openings(with Simple and Clean, and Sanctuary), BBS EMS could be Fate of the Unknown, with the KH2FM secret ending cut-scene. DDD could have the opening of that game etc... Since KH has less games than the FF series, I think more songs should be open right from the start. Hoo, just think about the epicness of playing Schrezo di Notte, or Rage Awakened. Also some of the remastered versions, or piano versions could be used.
Man, just thinking about playing Dark Impetus on the hardest difficulty setting gives me nightmares. :D

I believe they're gonna talk about Bravely Second End Layer, Final Fantasy 15, and, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Unchained, and maybe one new IP that they're gonna gamble at. It would be surprizing if they announced more than 1 new IP.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite among Smallville, Lost, and How I Met Your Mother. Seriously though, Lana-Clark is still the best romance in TV history.

I would find it odd if nothing comes out of Agni's Philosophy. I know Quantum Dream has done a couple demos that supposedly are not games, Ubisoft has the Samaritan trailer that never became anything. I do think there is plenty of potential for a plot based off of Agni's Philosophy, but I am worried because it seems like companies are making demos just to show-off, which does not make much sense to me.

If they bring ReMIX to PS4, I hope it's a complete collection that also includes DDD, and maybe Birth by Sleep Volume Two in the form of another movie. Maybe add more scenes to Days that show more action and include missing plot elements, like Roxas's fight with Saix.

It does make me wonder about something. If SE is going to remaster DDD to the PS3 and/or PS4 would they try to include other material to it so it doesn't stand by itself? Like for example a movie based on the story for KH Chi and maybe a demo/prequel to KH3?

That's an idea but there's also the matter with the people who already have 1.5 and 2.5 who may get miffed about DDD being only in a bundle. Then again they can always make DDD have an edition that stands on it's own.

They can't unless they add too much content to be worth their time. That is why they would bundle it, because the value of a 3 year old, $40 3ds game won't stand well in a market where ps4 games are $50 minimum.

Without something attached to KH3D, it wouldn't be marketable at all. It's not a well received game critically and yet it had good sales on the 3DS but didn't sell nearly as many units as other games in the series (more than Re:coded, less than BBS).

Because of these facts, you can either bundle it in with 1.5+2.5 to make sure people have access to it and this also makes a PS4 collection more worth a purchase because it has one more game with it or throw a KH3 demo with it, which will always upset people because "Why do I have to pay for a lame spinoff just to play a demo?"



KH3D HD would probably be marked at the $20-40 price range unless significant upgrades were done to it.

Well, they could always actually include Days and Coded as full games to go along with it.

We wouldn't see a remix for years as they would have to be developed from scratch so no, I don't foresee that happening. 1, 2 and rechain were console titles and more accessible, however, many assets had to be recreated. BBS and DDD are the same engine so they are easily remastered, due to being newer.

They aren't going to spend the time creating two games from the ground up like that. They can recycle assets but making a game and making cutscenes of a game or remastering an existing game are very different things entirely. Making a game takes years, and that is time better spent making KH3.
