On December 19th and 20th, Jump Festa will be taking place at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be in attendance with a trailer being shown to attendees.
The trailer should be revealed to the public soon after, much like Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5's 2013 Jump Festa trailer that released on December 24th in English.

I think that the part stating "the trailer should be coming..." should be eliminated. That's going to get people's hopes up (again). We can't have another TrailerGate, especially during the holidays. Just state a new trailer is going to be shown to attendees and it is not known if Square will show the rest of the world.

In terms of the trailer being shown? It's a near 100% chance you all will see a trailer in HD quality in 5 days because JF trailers, if stated otherwise, always go online before and during the event. It will also be playing on whatever stream they have for SE Presents, and on the showroom floor where it will be seen by thousands of people every day.

I would think it's to early but who knows? I hope so as I'm sure we all do but at this point all I'm expecting is a trailer.

Bbs v2 gameplay and a release date would make me incredibly happy, of course we probably wont get a release date unless the game drops early next year but I'm hopeful.

Aqua gameplay and the reveal of her face would be really nice. I am really curious how this hybrid battle system will work and how the RoD looks with KHIII egine.

Well, to be honest, I don't have much expectations. Which is why I don't think I'll be disappointed at all, really.

^ Square Enix never officially said anything that the trailer would be released. The whole thing started from an tweet and people fell for it. We really need to put this trailer thing behind is.

Possible early Christmas present trailer? Sounds good to me. Though I'm not gettin my hopes up too high to see it same time as attendees.
Oh, cool. A trailer. Hope they show up how they changed DDD in terms of the contrast between the 3D version on the PS4 version. Another thing I want to see, or rather listen to, is the voices of the Foretellers. Even though they might be in Japanese, I want to find out if the voice actors of the Foretellers are the ones as Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Riku and Kairi in order to see if the Rebirth theory will have even more merits to be based on. :>
Then there's also 0.2 which I also want to see, seeing as how is the "demo" of KH3.

I'm pretty excited to see what they're doing for DDD though - especially when it comes to updating the models and info on how we'll "play" with the Dream Eaters (the PS4 controller touchpad?). Maybe they'll end up Final Mixing it a bit and throwing us a new boss or secret trailer, but I doubt it.
As for [Chi]'s showcase in this, I'm ready for just about anything. Maybe we'll even get a window for the NA Unchained release (as if).

I'm not going to lie... I was starting to get disheartened lately (and I even ridiculously was starting to think we'd never get KH news again), mainly because we never saw the D23 stuff, the manga's now cancelled, Unchained is still not released outside of Japan, and II.8 and KHIII are still a ways a way.
But this is exciting news, and completely nips my angst in the bud. LOL.
OMG. I'm so interested to get another look at 0.2 and Unchained (especially Unchained!). I want to see if the graphic style's improved any--it probably has--and if we might see some Foreteller, Ephemera, and/or Chirithy action going on in the new trailer:)

I was just concerned with it causing a huge drama like TrailerGate at D23, since the first post says "a trailer should be released" after the show. That sounds like it's unknown if there's a trailer coming online to the public. So I was just going off the info in the first post.

Nah, but seriously, I agree. Hyping people up and saying the trailer definitely WILL happen is just ASKING for trouble. The higher you raise expectations, the harder they'll crash.
God Damn, it looks like 0.2 is Aqua just struggling alone in the Dark Realm. I'm praying that there's something more substantial, but without other characters, even walking through broken Disney Worlds seems...empty. (Which is the point, but I thought we'd gotten our fill of that and it was the least interesting thing about the secret ending of the secret episode) but, it'll probably be gorgeous and more Aqua is always welcome. *adjusts expectations*

Hmm, but didn`t Nomura say that 0.2 will connect to KH1 and KH2? I kinda expected to get new info on some of the scenes we saw during the secret ending. Oh well, I am still happy that we will get more Aqua gameplay. I am really curious how they touch up the RoD. Twiligh Town had some vines in the walls and they had made the town look more lively.

Two things; first they have said "new trailer" no plural so I am not expecting anything much. Maybe something like a normal 2.8 length trailer with then a kh3 tease at the end. Secondly, if this is just them showing us the D23 stuff I am so glad I avoided looking at all the translations and write-ups of the trailers when they released during d23 =D

There's probably going to be at least something good in the trailer if the official English KH social media accounts promo'd it. The difference between this and D23 is that SE is actually promising us something this time...or at least, I hope...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, too. But the fact that the picture says KHII.8 and KHIII threw me off a bit, because haven't those two things mainly been kept separate thus far (I'm not entirely sure on that; I might be remembering the D23 Japan descriptions wrong, and maybe the II.8 and KHIII stuff there was one long, continuous thing instead of divided up)? But you are right in that Square could very well just maybe have a small KHIII thing at the end of the II.8 trailer, or even nothing new of III at all.

they won't? it was the english kingdom hearts teams that announced a trailer releasing today. they're obviously planning on uploading it today as they don't expect the vast majority of english fans to be watching a stream for a japanese gaming conference.

A bit over 5 more hours to go, apparently. It's going to be like 3.30am here but since it's holiday I'll probably stay up for it. I don't really care that much about 2.8 since I'm not buying PS4 before KH3, but hoping for some more KH3 material. It's fine even if we get none, though. Trying not to set myself up for disappointments. You never know with SE.

I always believed the Force was something that was always around as well. The mysticism was what made the Force such an interesting concept in the first place. The fact that in the original trilogy, it was nothing but a legend to the rest of the universe and believed to be some kind of unreal magic made it even more awesome to witness others seeing that the Force was something real.
By making it something caused by some creatures inside of people, it added an element of science to it that ruined the whole mystical aspect. Also it makes one wonder why people would suddenly write it off as magic if there was an actual scientific way to count these creatures in people. :\
George Lucas didn't know how to handle his IP, so in the end I'm glad he has no hand in the future of the series.

well most of us read the impressions. i think people were just hoping there would be something new in the trailers since the D23 trailers didn't bring much new (in terms of things like worlds, for example)
