Fans have been screaming for a special edition for the upcoming Kingdom Hears -HD 2.5 ReMIX- for a long time, especially after the plethora of choices Japan were given. Thanks to our translator Zephyr, we have learned that there will be a Limited Edition of Kingdom Hearts -HD 2.5 ReMIX- available on December 2nd 2014.
On the item description page, Square Enix reveals that the Limited Edition is an automatic upgrade from the Standard Edition ($39.99 USD), and it will include an exclusive Disney collectible pin featuring Sora and Mickey Mouse.
The North American boxart was also released with this update, however it remains unchanged from the Japanese box art released not too long ago.
The limited edition is available at the Online Square Enix store and Amazon.

That boxart is the dinkiest artwork I've seen in a long time. Hopefully they'll upload a HQ version soon. It's too gorgeous not to (and we already had to deal with that beautiful CG artwork for 1.5 that they refused to release).
Disney pin collecting is really serious business, so I'm sure a lot of fans must be happy that they're getting another official pin.

I'm surprised they didn't release a picture of what the pin looks like, or what the other contents (if any) are. If I wasn't between moving right now I'd order it since it's the same price, but until my new place is settled hopefully some pictures will be available by that time to see if it's worth it or not.

Me thinks that any potential artbook or actual collector's edition is going to cost extra. So, I don't think the pin is the only thing we're getting. At least I hope not. But hey, time will tell.

There's a possibility of a Collector's Edition. Since this is a stealth update that they're not advertising, I refuse to believe this is the only thing they have planned for 2.5 in the west after all the different packs they've prepared for Japan.

I just think Square finally got the hint that collector's editions make lots of money, so they're making them cost more now. Thus, I don't think this is actually the "Limited Edition" we're watiting for. There'll be another one, that costs more.
They didn't at first with 1.5, and then tried to go behind everyone's (except NA) back and make it more money since a ton of people jumped for that artbook. Then, they made multiple choices with the FF X/X-2 Remaster. I think it's safe to say that they'll repeat that with this. And I'm dead certain that any and all collector's editions are going to be SE Online Store exclusives. So, I'll be pooped over the lack of Amazon Prime for the delivery of my CE.

I think a few people here fail to understand how lucrative the Disney Pin Trade is. These KH pins, if limited enough, will be worth a few hundred bucks in the next few years.

They are the vendor service that Square Enix is contracted with. They handle payment, shipment, and whatnot, yes.
They will test charge your account at random times before the ship date, yes. So you have to make sure you have the amount needed for the item in the bank or your order can be cancelled.
Also they just overcharge and are a hassle to deal with in general. With how many developers have ditched DR, it baffles me that Square Enix has yet to. So far I've cancelled every order I've made from DR because they would take money out of my bank account when I kind of actually needed to spend that money and its caused overdraw fees.
I pre-ordered 2.5 right now. $52 is near the cost of a full-priced game and I am not pleased, so I hope Amazon also gets the LE with the pin (like they did for Capcom's Ducktales HD) so I'm not spending more money than the game is worth.

PREACH IT CHASER! Yes, while I'll admit a pin is far less than a CD and Play Arts Kai figure, I do expect more than just this pin. Now the only thing I'm afraid of is that if they make a CE, the pin won't be available for pre-ordering that and then I'm gonna have to go through a loop trying to get both the CE and the free pin.

As much as I love the pin, I really am hoping on this. I love pins, I do, but I can't say I wouldn't be a tinge bit disappointed if the only thing we get is this pin as opposed to the wealth of CE's Japan is getting (as usual). I don't expect to get anything nearly as grand as Japan, but just something extra that would constitute a CE would be nice. The reason I say "CE" is because the extras that are always the best are the ones you generally have to pay extra for (because then the company will put more work into it).

While this is true, it really depends just how many of this pin is made. If it's anything like the ridiculous amounts made of the artbook, this pin could always sit around $20 (the design is also important). The 1.5 pin is currently priced at $20-30, while the original Hot Topic pins sit at around $150-200, but that's because those are significantly harder to find.

I think they'll announce a more formal Collector's Edition down the road. There's a difference between just a simple limited edition and a collector's edition and I'm sure they wouldn't think we'd settle for this after all those surveys and such. I smell a rouse from this

@Spock: I fully understand the value of a good pin! But I don't sell them I'm a person who puts all her pins on her purse to display to the world, so I would love the pin to death no matter WHAT it was worth or what was on it.
But you can't tell me to be satisfied with a pin after seeing what Japan is getting. That's hardly fair to us, as lovers of the game ourselves. It's just not always fair to settle for less than the other guys. We get more oftentimes with other games...But this is kinda stretching the "Now we're even!" limit to me. I get it. Rather than approaching the situation from that point of view, consider this: we're not exactly entitled to receive anything.

Haha, but I know we are getting more so I'm not bothered in the slightest. Square Enix saw our survey answers. They know we want CEs with oodles of crap. They know they sell extremely well, and they know that there are thousands of insane Kingdom Hearts fans that will get their hands on whatever they can get.
:3 So I'm cool. This is just one thing they have shown from this LE. We are getting more, and I'm expecting a CE down the line.

A PIN OMG ;A; I'm kinda excited about this (since ahhhh official Disney merchandise! And I bet it'll have the cute Mickey plug thing on the back! :D), but I'm not 100% sure about it either, mostly because I'm not a huge pin collector (although I'm a sucker for KH merchandise, especially Disney stuff ;~;).
I really want to see if Square announces a special edition on their site with more bonuses in it. They mentioned Wayfinders in their survey before, sooooo... I'm still kinda holding out on that *twiddles thumbs* >.>;;

Now to wait for when it's announced for Europe too, but they pull a FFX/X-2 again and we don't get a free upgrade and instead pay £5-£10 more to get it.

I hope the LE comes to Europe too and the design matches the 1.5 LE.
Considering how they've now removed the info from the website, that tells me possibly two things.
1. They have more CE stuff to announce, hence the SE dudes hit the abort button because they weren't supposed to reveal the pin info yet until they're ready to blow the lid on everything.
2. Since they seem like they're about to talk about CE stuff, maybe they will announce it at Comic Con?
Who knows. After all, we got the LE info for 1.5 out of the blue a month after it was released in Japan. Square is weird with announcing things at absolutely random moments.

I really hope the game won't come in the same sleeve that the 1.5 limited edition did. I really don't like how the disc is at the end of the artbook.

Same. If they give us a legit wayfinder, hell even options of having Kairi's or TAV's wayfinders for example, I'd be over the moon. I want some cool memorabilia from the series for once (aside from the plethora of PA figures I own)

It was described as featuring Sora and Mickey. Given TAV won't be on the pin, I doubt it'll be the coolest I've ever seen...lol What can I say, Sora nor Mickey's designs make me go "wow" :P
On the topic of a potential CE, SE released a PAK figure of Lara Croft in the CE of the Tomb Raider game, perhaps the Sora figure will be available in the US too? Maybe it's just me wishful thinking cause I REALLY want that figure to either be available in the US or alone in Japan -.-

Yeah I would like to make a pre-order...
I was thinking of getting the limited edition if it looked like 1.5's (I regret that I got the book and not the normal case ugh) and now that 2.5 seems to come in a regular case I probably won't get the limited edition. I need to check the prices when they are available on Amazon - even if they might change - but it doesn't look like it's worth it for me.
Thanks to this, I can rest assured that I don't have to jump through hoops to get the LE of the English version. I'll probably just go get the Japanese CE and English normal edition instead.

But guys. We are getting KH2FM and BBSFM on PS3. Be grateful. Back when an HD collection hadn't even been announced, most were thinking that they'd do something like KH1, ReCoM, and KH2 all on one disc. No one ever dreamed that they'd port EVERY game to PS3, and all the Final Mix versions to boot.
I'd rather have the game with a disappointing free gift than have the most amazing bonus ever and no game.
I'm grateful that we're getting the game, even though it sort of was a no brainer due to Disney's involvement, but come on... a pin? At the very least they could have made an effort to put out something that would match the LE of 1.5?

I mean, I don't blame them that much since SENA is treated as nothing more than a distribution arm with the least staff, least leeway, etc. while SEEU and SEJP get to do whatever they want, but clearly someone in that office thought it was a great idea to give us a pin for the most highly anticipated remaster. Even if Disney Pin Trading is so intense, this community isn't made up of pin traders; it's made up of KH fans. All we can do is stick the pin on something and call it a day.
This is coming from a huge Disney pin collector. This Limited Edition bundle is a huge smack in the face to the US and Europe. I'm excited to add another LE pin to the collection, but seriously?! The pin doesn't even look that good. I'd like it better if it didn't have the 2.5 logo on it, but whatever. Guess the logo is a given. Definitely underwhelmed with this LE.
The thing I'm confused about is how they gave all the same special treatment to the FFX/X-2 remaster, and even gave it a fancier collector's edition. Now, other two games aside, here they have Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on PS3, and they don't take advantage of the oppurtunity to make a super expensive version of it? And yet, they did for a remaster that was nearly as hyped like the FFX one?
They had a hardcover artbook, lithographs, and the bluray music thing. And for 2.5, they don't do something similar?
I have noticed that Amazon updated their product page and the pin is available through them as well. So, it's still possible that a proper collector's edition has yet to be announced. After all, the Limited Edition for X/X-2 was announced on July 9th of last year, whereas the bigger collector's edition wasn't announced until December of last year. So, maybe they're still holding off on the larger unveiling until closer to release?
But, this is NA Square. So, I'm sure they'll crush my hopes. Of all the people in the world who have to own KH, it had to be Sqaure. Could you imagine the extras we'd be getting if KH was owned by Ubisoft?

The thing I'm confused about is how they gave all the same special treatment to the FFX/X-2 remaster, and even gave it a fancier collector's edition. Now, other two games aside, here they have Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on PS3, and they don't take advantage of the oppurtunity to make a super expensive version of it? And yet, they did for a remaster that was nearly as hyped like the FFX one?

I don't think that people are ungrateful for getting the games but disappointed in the limited edition because .. that's really not much to look forward too? At least 1.5 got the book.. oh well. Let's wait and see I guess.

But, seriously, thank you Spock. Good find. At least we know they're not done yet. ANNNND at least we know they're aware of the height difference too. How many companies will address their fans OCD like that? Respect, for sure.

Given this pin announcement, I'd say even the artbook is a miracle at this point. Plus, you might as well just import that fancy Ultimania. It's only $30 once you convert currencies. And if you want it just to look at the art, the Japanese text really wouldn't matter. I know I'm gonna import it if Square doesn't give us anything else for our version of 2.5.
Yeah I might do the same as well. $30 ain't bad. I remember importing KH2 Final mix and having to buy a swap magic while violating my PS2 so it can play it. It was a horrible experience, but was worth it in the end.
Also do you think Nomura's commenary will be translated in Jiminys Journal? They'll probably remove it if they can't but I always wanted to read his comments on each photo.
From the additional comments I read on the PSBlog, it definitely sounds like the marketing team is still "taking ideas into consideration". Someone even outright asked if there would be a more expensive version worth like $150 or something and she said

Nothing is set in stone, she says. So, given how they announced the CE for the FF Remaster many months after the LE was announced, it's possible they're still waiting to announce the proper bundle that everyone wants.

They want us to be happy, but if you haven't noticed, they literally have handed out NO information other than what the fans have most likely provided them with. "Not set in stone," "mismatching cases," and "peek-a-boo window" are just what they're saying. But have they really SAID anything at all?

Well, one thing's for sure. All I'm seeing on Facebook, the blog, or elsewhere, is a lot of anger over how we wanted an artbook like 1.5, or at least something more than a pin. Therefore, if Square is listening to the fans, they'll be sure to give us what we want.

It seems really strange that Square would have two HD collections in a row (1.5 and FFX) that have similar artbook style editions, and then their (arguably) most anticipated HD remaster is coming, and they don't give it that same treatment or better? I've met Kaori in person and she is a very vibrant person in general who goes 500mph when everybody else is only at 60 xD She used to work in the Japanese branch of Square Enix, so she has very good ties with the staff in Japan and definitely works hard to please fans.
I understand what you are saying that we should be wary, but keep in mind she is not a customer rep by practice. She is brand manager, which means she is in control of Kingdom Hearts in North America right now. She is the one who proposes how the box will look, what will go in it, what merchandise they should try to bring over, and tries to get SE Japan and Disney to agree. She might be trying to appease people, but this all falls on her head. If fans aren't pleased and sales go down because of what is decided under her management, that is her job she is putting on the line.
She is already the third NA brand manager in three years. The first (Raio) left to a different company, the second (Mat) was moved to Europe to take Rui's place (EU's previous KH brand manager who is now working at SE Japan).
This is really Kaori's time to make things happen.

Keep in mind that Standard Editions are automatically bumped up to Limited so you're going to have to specifically ask for it at a GameStop or retailer. Also the pin is free so you'll get it anyways.

Can't say I'm thrilled. Hopefully, there's a pricier version with something more, but at this point I think it's safe to say that this is all we're getting. Once again, SE Japan is awesome and Western SE drops the ball.
But guys. We are getting KH2FM and BBSFM on PS3. Be grateful. Back when an HD collection hadn't even been announced, most were thinking that they'd do something like KH1, ReCoM, and KH2 all on one disc. No one ever dreamed that they'd port EVERY game to PS3, and all the Final Mix versions to boot.

And when we don't get an uber special pre-order bonus, suddenly that's all we care about. Square doesn't owe us anything (although sometimes I feel they should what with all the times they've dropped the ball on us).

People are yelling about "Japan is getting better stuff". Yes, but their collector's editions cost more. Their only pre-order bonus is some KHx content, which is even cheaper than our pin.
So, I mean, we actually have a better pre-order incentive than Japan does. The only difference is, Japan has collector's editions and we don't. But there's still time for them to announce some.
I'm so dissapointed I could cry, honestly. This pin doesn't look pretty at all, and we won't even get a special case or anything. I kinda liked the 1.5 limited edition, it has a nice slipcover and little artbook/case. If they'd just done the same for 2.5 I would be dissapointed we didn't get the awsome edition Japan got, but at least it's something. This pin is stupid. It's just a pre-order bonus, not a limited edition.

Never been a fan of the "NO CRITICIZE, YOU APPRECIATE-- NOW!!!" responses that are so awfully prominent on this forum. I really don't feel like being grateful for something I'm spending money on that is underwhelming compared to it's foreign counterparts for little reason.
In fact, now that I think about it, Tomb Raider (also owned by Square) just got an artbook pre-order thingy for the PS4 remaster. So that's three remastered games in a row that got free artbook cases for pre-ordering. And now suddenly on a game as anticipated as this one, they ditch the idea? Square's dumb, you guys.
But again. Probably for money, if they have a real CE lying it wait. Entice the pin people with the standard edition, knowing fully well that the main fanbase wants an artbook. Then, put the artbook with the more expensive CE, forcing everyone to pay the extra money that it will cost.
Well if that's the case, damn if it ever did work. Cause I'm paying whatever price they slap on any potential CE, if its contents are worth it.

There are more, too. So, it sounds like there's a definite chance for more to be announced/taken into consideration later before the game is released.
If they decided to make a Collector's Edition, they can bring over the Visual Art Collection from Japan's 1.5+2.5 Collector's Pack.
For the Limited Edition, like Kaori has mentioned before, I hope they will keep their suggestions in making the box size the same as 1.5's Limited Edition. The height can be the same but the width (short width) can be different.

I've seen Kaori comment multiple times that she and the entire product team are aware of the potential height difference of the two LE's and they're going to be sure that the two are the same size, regardless of what extras that they include with the game.
I think the box will be similar dimensions, yes. Since the normal edition will match all the other PS3 games, I would be horrified if they didn't at least TRY to match it up with the artbook(let). Just...put my disc in a better place than 1.5, ya?

Well, given how at the moment all that comes with the LE is the pin, I imagine that they might make like a slipcase or something. So you'd have the actual normal game case inside a sleeve like the 1.5 sleeve, with maybe a little compartment for the pin or something. If there's no artbook, there's no reason they shouldn't just put the disc in a normal case.
I wanna say something:
First, I think that after having asked us in that "plot" they did, putting ONLY a pin on a Limited Edition is just... Sad. At least for me. I don't like that idea. And just like some of you I think they'll do something.
And secondly, imagine they do a Collector's Edition like in Japan, why the hell do they include Kingdom Hearts 1.5 in all of the editions? What happens with those who have already bought KH 1.5? The should include some other stuff related to Kingdom Hearts 2.5 in the CE. And look, I'm not saying that the 1.5+2.5 collection doesn't worth it because it does, but I think they should consider doing a 2.5 collection with stuff from 2.5 xD

The purpose of the 2.5 survey was to get questions for Yasue's SE Presents interview. It was in the first survey that covered essentially everything that we were asked about preorder bonuses and the like.

The purpose of the 2.5 survey was to get questions for Yasue's SE Presents interview. It was in the first survey that covered essentially everything that we were asked about preorder bonuses and the like.

I seriously never noticed that flaw until you guys pointed it out in the trivia. Huh. Well, regardless of handle colors, the 2.5 art still looks amazing and better than the 1.5 art.

But think about KH and KH2's box art. Those were really elaborate and detailed. The numbered titles usually get the fancy treatment with the boxart, and Nomura has been stepping his game up lately for these HD collections. I think it's safe to say the KH3 box art will be awe inspiring.

But that's exactly why I think this one should be simpler. I'm not saying "plain;" I expect a LOT of detail! And it most likely WILL have tons of characters on it, if I'm honest with myself. But I think that - with the more somber tone I think the game will possess - a more minimalist approach would fit just fine. Not boring, but not busy, either.
Well, either way, I doubt Xehanort will be on the cover. If you haven't noticed, KH villains never appear on the box art. The 2.5 art is the first exception to this, ever. All other games had only the protagonists, even 1.5.

No kidding. They did that cool BluRay disc music for FFX HD and that's exactly what Japan is getting for 2.5. Unless there's a large CE for us to be announced in the future, I have no idea why we wouldn't get it too.

I'd imagine that the reason we wouldn't get a Blu-ray Music disc is because either A) no one knows what they are or B) they're not popular enough to be considered worth mainstream consumption.

Kingdom Hearts fans who would invest in a more expensive collection to begin with aren't the mainstream audience, so it is a bit of a moot point.

Exactly. Same reason the Blu-ray music was only included in the CE of FFX HD, and not the LE.

I understand that most of us get that, but not everyone does. I know that when my parents and my friends' parents bought games for us as kids, they didn't really care about the game itself. They didn't know anything about it. They would just buy games cuz they looked cool or came with goodies that they thought their KIDS would like.
It's kinda hard to think back, but I most certainly did NOT buy my own games as a kid. And kids now don't buy all their games, either. He do you think my 12-year-old neighbor got Call of Duty? HE certainly didn't buy it; his grandparents thought it looked cool, and they didn't know to check for rating, anyway.
What I'm saying is that when companies make a game and rate it, they HAVE to have the target audience in mind. They can't just think of past fans to buy the product. An though E10+ plus doesn't mean "little tykes" or anything, the target audience is just past 10 years of age. I was in 4th grade at that time, myself, but a lot of kids are in 3rd. So as limited as that audience is, they still have to cater to it. At least in part.

I always saw the pin as a Re:Coded pin honestly since it has Sora (in KH1 attire) and Mickey who is most prominently associated with Re:Coded on the cover. Which made me kind of sad since I wish was TAV (but I know not enough people know who they are to care for them) or at least KH2 characters :P

Call me crazy, but I just like artbooks, even if its rereleased artwork. That's why I'm probably the only KH fan who didn't hate the BBS artbook, and fell head over heels for the 1.5 LE even though most of it was stuff I'd already seen before. I just have a thing for holding the artwork of something I love in my hands. It's the feeling it gives me, not the art itself. And looking at art online doesn't really do that for me. So I prefer physical :P
And actually, assuming that we are getting a collector's edition of 2.5, then the pin for us is the equivalent of how Japan is getting a code for KHx. It's the free toss-in for pre-ordering, and not the extra goodies. So, technically, our pre-order bonus beats Japan in my opinion. Now we just have to hope Square gives us a beefier 2.5 bundle.

I can't imagine Disney being overly happy with Square being the only ones making money off of a more expensive limited edition of a partnered game. Same goes for any/all KH3 editions too.

Yeah. You just go into the store and be like "hey I preordered this game and I'd like to upgrade it to the Collectors Edition please" and they'll be able to do it, and if the CE costs extra, you'd just need to pay that.

I think they'll also have a special box for the limited edition with the same art as the original box. The limited edtion box for HD1.5 Remix was different from the original so we'll probably see one for HD2.5 Limited Edition as well.

Still it would be interesting if there were a variety of different cover sleeves that had different characters on the front of them. I kind of like it when companies do stuff like that. I remember when Bugs Life came out on VHS there were different covers that had different characters hiding behind the leaf. My Dark Knight Blu-ray has Joker on the front of it.

I just pre-ordered the Limited edition pin set from Amazon.ca. I'm happy that it was mentioned that it will still be the same size as the limited edition for the previous installment, that's a relief. And honestly made the purchase for me. That being said, I'd still love to have one of those collectors editions reach north America. If they do, I guess I'll just give my two current games to my brother whilst I bask in the glory of the collectors edition. Wishful thinking.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that Square aren't giving us anything besides the pin. We're barely more than a month away from 2.5's release in the West. I'm pretty sure that if there were going to be anything more, they would have said so. Special editions for any game are normally announced months in advance. I don't recall any game having a CE announced a month before it came out.
What I'm wondering, aside from why the hell Square decided of all of their releases to not have a nice special edition for 2.5 especially since Japan got 6 CE's, if there's going to be a dynamic 2.5 theme. I'm still using my 1.5 theme. I'd love to have a new one for 2.5.

So, about 8:00pm or on dec. 1st, my parent's decided to preorder the game from gamestop as a christmas gift. Since getting the collector's didn't work out, which i'm ok with (could just later on, buy the collector stuff off ebay when they are cheaper). So when when christmas does come around I should be finally getting my copy of kh2.5 in the mail from my parents~! woo! And also money for a ps3 (don't have my original and luckily by then ps3 should be cheaper at gamestop).

It worked when first announced because people said they wanted consistency between 1.5 and 2.5 but it all fell apart when buyers realised it was a rip off

Guys I need help. So I don't remember playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on widescreen format. KH1 doesn't have a problem playing full screen but the Kingdom Hearts II setting is ONLY on widescreen format. I don't like how the game looks compressed in widescreen. Is there anyway to get it to look full screen?
I just went ahead and picked up a LE too, just because it was at Target while I was grocery shopping. That box is so huge the pin is actually floating around somewhere inside it. The space that is supposed to display the pin just showcases white cardboard lol. I tried to jiggle it back into place, but it must be lodged somewhere in the realm of darknessss

I knew the 2.5 LE came in a box, but I was surprised how thick the box is for just having the game and the pin. Plus, for all that folded cardboard, the pin doesn't even stay in that little window that's supposed to showcase it. After I got my Collector's Edition, this edition arrive and the pin wasn't in the little slot and I thought the left it out only to open the box and see it flung way to the side.
Waste of space, really. I mean, I got both editions so I'm not complaining, but they honestly could have fit the game and the pin in a box that was identical in size and thickness to the 1.5 LE. The 2.5 LE box looks like it has 3 PS3 games inside it cause it's so thick.

So I got my game in the mail last night...But I also got let go from my job.
Now I just wanna say this: "Thanks for hosting that competition, KHI." Without receiving the game as a gift, I must say that who knows how long it would've been until I got it?
You gave me back a slice of my childhood. For that, I owe you my thanks.

On the other hand, I still haven't recieved mine in the mail yet. Maybe it will come today or tomorrow though since you and I live relatively close to each other. I would also like to thank everyone who hosted the competition again, I awl so wouldn't have been able to afford this for a while and now I'll get to enjoy it with everybody else!

Oh yay, my limited edition box was damaged in the mail on the side that has the title on it! This is just like when I got my Metal Gear Legacy in the mail and the side was destroyed!

Oi. I understand your pain. Exact same problem. I'd chalk it up to our mailmen being incompetent (XD) but we all know who is at fault: The one who designed this friggin MASSIVE box for a game and a lone pin. The faces I'm making are less than amused.

I went to pick up my copy on the 3rd and they had some Limited Editions left on their display shelves. I didn't pre-order but they gave one to me anyway, I'm guessing not many people pre-ordered (to nobody's surprise, a pin isn't a very interesting incentive).
Preorder bonuses for SE are essentially just another way to say "first run releases". 2.5 isn't really selling well so retailers still have some of the initial shipment remaining.
My GameStop is completely out. I swung by yesterday to grab a copy for a friend. I got new and unused copies in plastic, but no LE for 2.5.
And I have 2 local stores, actually. Both sold out.

That likely means they didn't order that many to begin with.
honestly i think they only bother ordering if there's demand. like, when DDD came out the MoM editions sold like hotcakes, when 1.5 released i picked up the artbook case two months after the date, while 2.5 had plenty of LEs to spare.
i think the want for KH fluctuates based on the content, many people who bothered getting the remakes were looking to rebuy it for nostalgia or for the FM versions and most hardcore fans have viewed the content already in some shape or form.
It's also the holidays. Game collections make awesome gifts, so I wouldn't simply say it's for lack of inventory. I certainly wasn't the only person there requesting these particular games and a gift receipt!
