I remember being very young when I'd succumb to the impression that "Kingdom Hearts" left on me after completing it. A time later I learned a Final Mix version was released in Japan. I desired the game because it included new little things that the original game had not. So, not knowing that I'd also need an imported PS2 in order to enjoy, it was ordered and years later I have only a collector's item. Thank you, Square, for helping me exact my vengeance on my imported letdown. This fall, I will rise. :)

The people over at EU PS Blog have confirmed that the game will NOT feature the Japanese voices. Anyone know if that stands true for the American version as well?

I'm not surprised by the fact that it was confirmed to release (pretty much that video with Jesse recording did it for me) but the fact that it releases in fall... I mean, couldn't we have gotten it around the same time as KH3D? Otherwise, I'm thrilled. Still getting the Japanese version though, that 6/7 month gap isn't gonna fill itself.

anyway, this is a remaster, so while they'll probably have a few North American changes to apply such as lip synch and such, that they started recording the voices by now for days should've meant a summer release, but I guess they do need to corner the fall market. Since summer technically goes to late September, we're talking October here.

at least my LPs will help pass the time. Depending on the timing I hit to get those up, I might end up doing 2.5, but unlikely, so it's just comparison videos for HD.

well bbs came out in january in japan and september in na at the end of summer that's only 9 months

this is being advertised as fall and fall doesn't end until december.
there's a possibility of this taking longer than BBS :S

It's pretty close, though. Seven months (or more if you count October and November)?! Granted, that's normal for a regular KH game but considering this is a remaster and they've already started voice overs I could see why everybody's a bit surprised.

Hmm, that's work that can be done in like 2-3 months time. They already started recording in January and it only takes at best two weeks to usually get everybody in and out. Two or three days for recording sessions and they can have quite a few sessions with different VAs in a day. Lip-sync is probably the longest part of the deal but could be done within the 2-3 month span.

I'm going to believe it is more about marketing and whatever SE has scheduled in the year.

I'm just happy that it is coming to USA/EUR I don't care when it comes out I have enough games coming out this year anyways so I'm like stoked for the fall already :D

I'm not sure when is "fall" is since I live in a country where we only have 2 seasons. But I'm taking a guess and say its releasing on October 13.

The new scenes in KHFM were text only. The delay is most likely because of 358/2 Days.

I am happy for this, but only because recently we've had certain people on social media comment saying things about them not caring because it's not for America. This will now shut them up, and I am grateful.

I'm not so happy about it's Spring release here in Australia. Unlike so many of you who are upset because it's a far away date, I'm upset because it just so happens that I graduate at the end of September, and then take my final exams sometime between October 14th till November 8th.
Still, will be a glorious present for the end of exams :3

I really hope they wouldn't do that (since they could just use what they already had, and cut and paste old dialogue for the new FM scenes), but... @Taochan Unless they add new scenes. For some reason, Re:Coded and Zero Point seem to hint that the scene with Riku on Big Ben is really important, but honestly, I doubt they'll add anything. (I can dream, though.) But more Kairi scenes--like the one where it looks like she's talking to Riku on the dock during the beta trailer--would be very much appreciated by me.

Actually, there might be new Days scenes...

Anyway, words don't even express how happy I am for this! After all these years, I'm finally getting Final Mix! And soon, I'll be able to say I've completed pretty much every KH game, even the ones that didn't originally come here! The only ones I haven't played are: the Final Mixes (but that should be remedied with the HD versions), KH Mobile (that I'll never get to play, sadly, since it's ending soon), KH for the V-Cast (I might play it someday), and the original KH:Coded. I've played Re:Coded, though. And hopefully Kingdom Hearts X will be released here, too. :)

Gah, I'm excited! This is such a great treat, and honestly I'd love it if this was released on the seventeenth of September. Then, it would be KH's eleventh anniversary, SoKai Day, and this' release all at once. Very appropriate, I think.

And I'm so very happy that everyone will finally have a hand at Re:CoM. Though CoM was never my favorite in the series, I'm going to allow myself to really enjoy it this time, as it's probably the last time I'll ever play it. And I must remember to level my CP when I play! I Upon playing the original and remake, I've deduced that's what you need to do in that game (and thus why I always failed at that game, since I always went with HP instead).

Btw, does anyone know if KHIFM has theater mode in it? I'm fairly certain that KHIIFM did, but I'm not sure on I. If not, I wonder if it'll be added to the game, since most of them seem to have theater mode now.

Welp, I've ranted enough. I'm just so, so happy, and can't WAIT to have this in my hands. Now all I need to do is decide if I'll watch the prettied Days scenes two weeks from now, or wait for the localized version. I think I'll wait, but if I see some of the scenes early, it won't be too much of a big deal.

That's unacceptable considering that the games are 90% translated and it comes out in Japan in less than a month. Out of all the KH games this one had the best chance for a simultaneous release. Looks like they blew it.

Its just annoying because I finally jumped from SDTV to an HDTV in early January, and got an HDMI cable to go with it. The only problem is that my PS2 games look like utter crap on it.

Also, it sucks that there wont be a Vita version like with the vastly inferior FFX HD.

FFX is FFXIII-lite. The only decent things to come out of it were Jecht, Auron, and the alright gameplay. Everyone thing else was in the running for "Worst in the Final Fantasy series." Definitely an inferior game.

Watch...We buy the game and open up the case, only to find a PS2 copy of KH1. Not even Re:CoM.

Even worse, it will be a copy of the Japanese version of KH1 without the stuff added in the NA version and have scratches on the disk.

To top it off, the DS and GBA cartridges of Days and CoM are tackily glued onto the disc.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix will be dubbed in English, French, and German with EFIGS subtitles. Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Heats 358/2 Days will be English dubs with EFIGS subtitles.

Square Enix today announced that KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 ReMIX will be available later this Spring in Australia, exclusively for PlayStation®3.

For those of you who do not understand seasons in the southern hemosphere, this is the same time as the northern hemisphere's Fall.
So after Japan, nearly every other country gets a simultaneous release

I am always tempted to watch content afte Japan's release but I don't out of fear that something will be spoiled to me during the time period of localization I can come here for infomation and it usually keeps me satisfied. As most of the staff here are quite strict when it come to exposing information. Though I won't indulge in to many video oh 1.5. I want kingdom hearts 1.5 to have that fresh new feeling when I insert it into my console this spring. =). Ahh so hyped!

Probably the only thing that may qualify as a "spoiler" would be the contents of the 2 hours and 50 minutes of Days scenes. I imagine many would prefer the exact scenes to remain a secret so they can be pleasantly surprised while viewing in the comfort of their own home. Or if we can host a 358/2 Days HD streaming party, that too.

That would be called rushing it. If they decided to take longer to make the performances sound better, it'd be understandable since Dubs are trickier anyways, lipsync or not.

Also, what connection are you using for your PS2? If you get a component cable(RGB), you'll have the best quality that SD resolution can offer, including way better colors.

Way Off Topic, but your HDTV probably doesnt look at its best anyway. I HIGHLY recommend getting a professional calibration or at least devoting a couple hours to adjusting the picture with a DVD/Blu-ray disc like Digital Video Essentials. It really makes a difference, since manufacturers change the picture settings on every model and unit to stand out on the store floor. The unit you got is probably not set up the way it looked at Best Buy.

Anyway, there's only two things I'm worried about being spoiled about, which comes down to one thing: the unrevealed differences. We got the gist of it, but considering the Days scenes and the graphics, you know people will be nitpicking through the game to count literally all the updates and I just wanna find them for myself, should I ever look.

I see where you're coming from. Well, since it'll be fall when it comes out there will probably be at least one or two temp price drops during the holiday season.

Arguably, it is. We're paying $40 for two games we already bought years ago, and can maybe get for cheaper. Sure, when Final Mix is included, it adds some value but the worthwhile changes were not really that much for me to begin with. Updated graphics are the same, and even HD in terms of gameplay can be gotten for free for some people. Days is the biggest incentive, but the average movie is about $20.


But yeah, i'm still getting this day 1!

KH1 and Re:CoM each retail for $19.99. That's $40 already. Then Days the game itself retails for $24.99. Since we're getting almost 3hrs worth of new HD cutscenes rather than gameplay, we can just go ahead and add that in for something around $60. I think $39.99 is a rather reasonable price.

Also considering all HD Remasters are part of SCEA's budget line and always retail at $39.99. I think for what we're getting with the labor that was actually put into these games to be updated and localized, we're definitely getting the better end of the deal as consumers.

I'm kind of surprised that the game webshop I usually get my games at put the pries for this HD remake at CHF 79.90 the usual pries for a new game.

I wonder what the EU Blog meant with it'll be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, does this mean they're dubbing KH1FM's new scenes and Re:CoM or are they simply adding subtitles. If they're redubbing that would definitely explain the long wait. Either way I hope I get the option to hear the English dub and also it's a good time for me, seeing that's right before the first of my finals for my apprenticeship start.

Time does tend to fly so it's not that long of a wait, I mean we're already 2 month in the new year and it still feels like it just started.

That wouldn't make any sense, these aren't new games just remasters, so there's no point in making a FM for it. The only thing that's new that they might want to extend is Days, but they could do that with DLCs.

Well remember, I don't think it's fair to compare a used copy of KH1 and Re:CoM to a brand new copy of KH1.5HD Remix. If you got a used copy from a 3rd party after it comes out I would think you'd be lucky and be able to snag it for around $30 which makes it all fair again in terms of prices ^_^

A brand new black label KH1 is quite a collector's piece and I think last year I saw one (with the plastic wrap still) of KH1 sell for close to $70.00.



Honestly, I'll admit if they did not, I would be VERY surprised. It just doesn't make any sense to do that considering the reason for the FM's is so that people in Japan can hear the English voices. The add-on content is just a way to justify the purchase. They've already heard the English voices back in KH1FM so the only reason now to release a KH1.5HDFM is to hear the Re:CoM English voices and the Days in English. I think if they did do this though, it could perhaps be one of the biggest slaps in the face of all time. We finally get the FM content, only for Japan to get more!!!! Especially if we don't at least get it in the form of DLC or something.

I'm pretty sure Limit wasn't serious with that remark, but either way you right. If anything, the ReMIX series could be considered a part of the "Re:" series (Re:CoM, Re:Coded, etc.), to which those games never had FM versions.

That is a placeholder date. When the real release date is revealed you will see the actual ship date in the order status.

Well as long as it stays in the fall semester it's not that bad, In my opinion spring semester releases are far worse especially the ones released in May or June.
To what you said earlier if they want to release the English versions of Re:CoM and Movie Days than that could easily be done by a DLC. There's no need to re-release the game forthat. They can't really justify re-releasing games to add a new language and content anymore.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't mind May or June releases since I can wait a month and then have the whole summer to play the game as opposed to a September release where I have to wait to winter break in December, but once again...maybe it's just me ^_^

As for the DLC thing, yeah they could easily just use DLC for it, but that doesn't mean that they won't release the FM anyways. Japan eats up new editions that are pointless like its nothing, hence the reason they get so many collector's edition :(

Well yeah May/June aren't terrible, but it's kind of annoying if you have to wait until after your exams to play a game you really really want to play.
I think ones prefered release date has to do with ones school system. At my school, I tend to find weekends where I don't have to do much for school during the first semester, but the second one I tend to have to prepare for the exams in June or have other school projects going on. So that's why I prefer August/September because I have less school work and also a fall break in October to play the games after work.

I graduate at the end of September, and the final major exams last between October 14th-November 8th.

Sadly yes. Not only will fans buy games that they could buy DLC of but they'll also buy the 3 of the same game over again for a box. Yes, you heard me right, they will buy 3 games they already own...for a box. I'm very fortunate to attend all these KH events because I get to talk to Raio Mitsuno for like hours straight haha and at this point whenever we see each other at conventions we just get into KH conversations xP Nonetheless, he said that this is the reason so many DDD versions were released in Japan. Besides just the actual game by itself, they released the limited edition 3DS with the game and the 10th anniversary box.

He said that many people in Japan will buy both the limited edition 3DS for a collector's item (even if they have a 3DS already) and they'll get the game there. On top of that, they'll buy the 10th anniversary box too just to have it and that means that by the time DDD came out, many people had 2 3DSs, 2 copies of DDD, 2 copies of Days, and 2 copies of Re:Coded. Why did they buy all that? Why not? We're not even talking hardcore KH fans here, people in Japan just soak up collector's edition like its sunlight...IDK O_o

They need to like announce a release date now But it should be soon since 3D had it's release date announced after the japanese release.

DDD came out in NA a lot closer to the JAP release date so don't expect an exact date to be said just yet.
