Remember that PC browser social game announced at last year's Tokyo Game Show alongside KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX-? If you don't, it's no surprise; after the beta test, there has been literally no information on the title, until now. Check out this gameplay trailer of KINGDOM HEARTS χ[chi], featuring various worlds like Agrabah and Dwarf Woodlands, the Darkside boss battle and the all new rendition of Dearly Beloved!
The open beta will be available soon, so look forward to it!
We've subbed the video for you with translations provided by the lovely goldpanner, which you can also read below:
Once upon a time, everyone across the realm lived in peace and harmony, bathed in warm light.
However, everyone coveted the light, and before long they began to fight over it.
As they did, darkness was born in everyone's hearts.
The darkness spread and spread, swallowing up the light and many hearts.
The World was covered in darkness, and it disappeared.

The power of the light to drive back the darkness.
AGRABAH: A palace city surrounded by a vast desert
Aladdin: Who are you? I haven't seen your face around.
Aladdin: Are you from another town?

Doc: Today was just a normal day...

Doc: They said they would all go get rid of them and ran off, but they haven't come back.

Is it bad that I sort of don't want to play this game, because I think Xehanort might track me with the "X"?
Anyway, in all seriousness, it's nice to see something about Chi again. I was wondering when we would, and this looks pretty nice. I especially liked the pop-up-book at the end. It was cool, and a nice tie to 3D, I think.
I'm also very interested in the Heart Platforms again, and what some of these people were talking about (like in Radiant Garden). And I have to LOL at all the Keyblade wielders fighting Darkside. And people say there are too many Keyblade wielders now and whatnot. XD
This is looking a lot better than I thought it would, and though I know it's not canon and just a click to win game, I still can't wait to play it! :D Please come here, game. Pretty please.

I longed for more information for KH Chi, but unfortunately I someday read that it would be Japan only. -sigh-
Trailer looks awesome nevertheless of course, I really like the style. Can only hope they someday bring it to us aswell.

Honestly, this game looked completely pointless to me when it was first unveiled. But after seeing this, it actually looks like a lot of fun! Too bad I won't be able to play it though since it's Japan only...

Honestly, if the game is anything like Bravely Default: Praying Brage, all you'd need to do is make an account at wherever the game will be hosted in order to play.

the other thing that tips me off to that identity is how he says "You must join forces with friends who share the same will and walk the same path."
iirc there's 5 factions or whatever, and the unicorn is one. "same will" and "same path" being said by someone with a unicorn-shaped hat seems to indicate that he is the leader of that faction, or at least high up in the ranks.

Considering that many members on KHI, including myself, were able to play the closed beta (none of us live in Japan), I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

Looks interesting. But I'm really hoping this game isn't canon to the story. It probably isn't, but there's this worry inside of me that the story would evolve to say that somehow Aladdin is now this guy who is eternally young and has lived ever since the Keyblade Wars :P

There wasn't an NDA as far as I could tell, but the fact that it was a closed beta open to a small group was enough reason for us to stay quiet for a while. It uses cards, and you build a small deck out of them but the similarities essentially end there. Of course cards of a higher rank are stronger, but the battle system is ultimately just pointing and clicking.

There were a lot of people taking screenshots, blogging and even streaming it. Idk, even if it's just a meaningless social game, if they wanted everyone to see it, they'd have done an open beta, you know? I didn't really agree with letting everyone know if they didn't want them to...

Darn, I was hoping it was in the beta but alas. It's first appearance was on the original Chi site, the Moogle was just posted in the corner of the page but this is the second time I can recall seeing it, this time in motion.

The gameplay was interesting to see, seems like you can skip battles entirely. Also like that storybook/world selection screen it had.

It's not going to be country restricted in the sense we can't play it all, its just it may never be translated so it will be confusing for many people to play.

I think fighting enemies is optional except the ones that are guarding your path since in order to move to other parts of the world you have to face them. They are generally Large Bodies from what I saw in the beta and they are ridiculously powerful so really, skipping battles only hurts you since there is no way to beat them without hefty grinding.
Yeah, enemies were optional in the beta. There were stronger enemies located in the final area of each world, but those didn't initiate battle unless you made the first move. That may or may not have been changed for launch though. Only Dwarf Woodlands had the Large Body; Agrabah had Armored Knight and Wonderland had Tornado Step.

There is no "getting" it. You can't buy it or install it on your computer. It's a F2P browser game. You just log into an account and play it online.
