Square Enix has released an extended trailer for KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue from the 2016 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan featuring new footage from KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage-, KINGDOM HEARTS X[chi] Back Cover, and KINGDOM HEARTS HD Dream Drop Distance!
KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will release January 12th 2017 in Japan.
This new release date was revealed during the 2016 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan, delayed from its previously announced December 2016 release window.

I like the remix, I think it's fir the possible 0.2 opening since some of the footage felt openingish

From what I could gather, sounds like Aced was getting in Gula's face about the identity of the traitor, and Gula knows more than he's letting on
Luxu straight up tells Ira that the world can't be saved, but we knew that already.
I think the scene with MoM and Luxu is Luxu being given his mission (and the Keyblade?)

I'm lowkey convinced Chi and Aqua's story are gonna somehow also cross over. Chi features most of the Princesses' worlds, and now we know Aqua is pretty much going to at LEAST Cinderella's and Ho White's worlds. If we go to Enchanted Dominion, I'm 100% convinced we're gonna see some real Chi plot and familiar faces there.

Or it goes back to Kairi`s letter where it said that many worlds share the same sky.

Speaking of the cover, I was told by more than one person that Donald and Goofy are not going to be featured in the cover despite me being 100% certain that they will. Boy, it feels good to be right! :biggrin:

Yeah, if S2 indeed is in January they might want to get these two as close as they can, so you can follow the story nicely trough 0,2, Back Cover and the S2 of unchained.

This is actually my favorite thing that the trailer showed us. It looks like we're finally going to get some real, solid character development. It is hard to tell from the little that we've seen, but I'm starting to suspect that the writing may have taken a step up.

Wonder what was going on with those Darksides near the end. Those looked like the hearts of worlds they were throwing into the air... Is that the role Darksides naturally fulfill in the Realm of Darkness? They're construction workers for the assembly of the Kingdom Hearts of Worlds?
I can't stop rewatching the trailer send help. The Hikari remix is growing on me even more every time, can't wait to get the full version hngng! I can't even be upset about the delay. Why are they releasing it on a tuesday though? Not that I wouldn't skip some school to play 0.2 asap, but you'd think they'd release it on a friday or something.

Well I'm not familiar with many other SE games, but I'm very sure that all KH games haven't been released on a tuesday. At least not the older ones, DDD might have been, I think it was in the middle of the week. In any case, it seems a bit weird. If that's how they do it then cool but it doesn't seem very optimal.

You're in Europe, huh. Video games outside of Nintendo games and special releases come out on Tuesday here in North America. I know in Europe games comes typically come out later in the week so I can see why you are confused.

Oh, that's interesting. And good to know. Well, the main thing is we're getting it on the same day, glad to see SE finally acknowledge the european fans as well! The late Ux release was worrying but now things are looking more promising for KH3 as well.
I'm used to getting games on fridays as well (I still remember buying BBS in my break before P.E. lesson in the afternoon, lol), but I don't mind either way.

Did anyone else notice the shot where Master Invi is speaking with either the MoM or Luxu? Specifically I'm referring to how her mouth is uncovered. I'm pretty sure it's always covered except for that one shot. It's around 0:35.
Any ideas why she might be doing this? I find it kind of strange. There might be something going on there.

I also find it strange that MoM and Luxu seem to be packing. The MoM said something along the lines of "let's go before they do". Maybe MoM and Luxu know of the Unchained and escaped cataclysm?
