I'm still concerned this is fake.

Tbh that image takes a whole to load. I don't know how load times are for the port but it reminds me of the infamous "Super Smash Bros 64 is a virtual console" secret. That thing is plugged into something and it looks like the recorder motions towards a mouse or something, as if to initiate the photo appearing.

People have been going around saying its Neku and Shiki's daughter or Shiki and Joshua's daughter. I'm not going to believe that this image is real (even though it would kinda explain the 'moredripthanleak' thing.) I'm going to wait until Square actually says something about it.

She has Joshua's hair, Neku's headphone thing, and Mr. Mew. That's just annoyingly full of red herrings.

The game lags a bit on my iPhone. Other than that, concerning the mystery of looking like it's plugged to something, to the recorder's defense, this game consumes a lot of battery power, so it'd be logical and reasonable to keep it plugged.

That's one side of the coin, let's get to the other: s/he's just showing the ending, there's no proof that this isn't DIRECTLY from in-game or he made a video and downloaded it to his iOS device.

Has anyone found out how to unlock this, or is this just shown at the end of the game regardless?

I'd love this if it were true. I'm on board for a TWEWY sequel, even if it's with a new cast. I'd love to see Neku & co. return but a new group would be easier, more fresh, and prevent fans crying about how the sequel ruined the original characters.

If this isn't really a new character, I gotta find whoever faked this and hope they're on deviantArt.

Although it would be great to replay as our favorite characters, even if they made a cameo appearance, that is, assuming a sequel is true and they might change the group of protagonists, I'm not having a hard time picturing another sort of Another Day type of scenario involved with the original TWEWY cast and/or with Sora and Riku.

Solo Remix is akin to, say, the Re: versions of KH games. Re:coded contained a secret ending that was not present in the original game; Nomura is at the helm of both TWEWY and KH, so who's to say that Solo Remix didn't follow suit and include something referencing the future of the series in the same was that Re:coded and Signs of What's Next did for KH?

EDIT: And in fact, it seems this reasoning has proven itself to be true. Oh joy.

YES. I'm so excited. TWEWY is one of the rare games where I enjoy the gameplay probably as much as the story.

Okay, so since we now know that this is in fact real, I know that Izayoi is on to something, and I figured out another piece I think.

As Izayoi pointed out, she has specific things like the main protagonists of TWEWY1, she has:
- headphones similar to Neku
- hair that is similar in color (not length) to Joshua
- Mr. Mew (obviously Shiki's)
- a pose similar to one of Rhyme's main artwork from the first game



- but what does she have like Beat? It clearly doesn't have to be an article of clothing, but considering she has all those features from everyone else she HAS to have something in common with Beat...but what?

Her headphones are the color of Beat's color scheme. Really all of her clothes colors are Beat's. xD

She really does have a bit of every protagonist in her. I'm really excited for future developments now. <3

I'm so excited! I hope it's a sequel! Maybe in the Famitsu interview will reveal a little about her.

I hope she's the lead of the next game. My inner-feminist wants to play TWEWY with a leading lady.

When I saw this, I immediately thought that Shiki must have died again, and that's why the girl looked so shocked. Her price wouldn't have been her looks, but it's been so long since I played that game, I forgot what the little clip at the end showed what part of Shiki actually looked like >.<

And so begins the tales of the "BHG" rather than the "BHK". Personally, I like calling her "Hybrid" or "Mystwewy" (which can be seen as "Mystery" and "Ms. TWEWY" both) because my friend Dani coined those awesome names.

Anyway, I wish I had something productive to say, but I'm too busy reeling. And somehow, I feel as though Shibuya is going to be in the hands of this girl now (if she's not Shiki, that is). Maybe she has the Composer powers for the time being? It might explain some things that way. Like maybe after KH: 3D, if it's KH!Shibuya we're dealing with. But who really knows? All I know is I'm as excited as hell, and I'm eagerly awaiting what we might hear at TGS or elsewhere.

I hope this means we'll get a (mostly) new cast of characters. As much as I want a TWEWY sequel everyone's stories wrapped up really well in the first and I don't feel like we need to continue with them. At most, I'd like to see them as cameos.

@Claire-Farron Well, Neku did stop the Composer's plans, but I'm sure they didn't end the Games completely. Really, everything ended up returning to normal, as if certain things never happened. Though a certain someone said that even though things were back to normal, they may have repercussions with a certain race. Yeah... I hope that made sense. If not, I apologize. I don't want to spoil people, and I don't know how to use the spoiler tags...

And maybe the new girl is some sort of experiment? I have no idea.

Although part of me still thinks she might actually be Shiki or Eri. I'd kind of prefer if it was Shiki. After all, she has Mr. Mew, and if you cover up part of the girl's hair, it looks like Shiki's hair at the end of TWEWY. It's just longer and lighter (kind of like Sora's in KH2), and she might have dyed her hair, too. She obviously cares about fashion and trends. IDK. I just want it to be Shiki because we got gypped with seeing her at the end of the original game, therefore I want to see her (in all her glory) in the new one.

I hope this means a sequel, even though I kinda would rather have a male protagonist.

Just saw the tower that said 'New 7 Days' in the picture. It at least means the Game is still continuing, which probably means sequel. I'm curious about who the girl is though. If I remember right the person who Shiki looked like in the game is Eri isn't it? Then again it's possible it's not anyone related to any of these characters at all, and she just happens to have the same doll and a pair of headphones.

This girl has a bit of all the main characters in her appearance and personally I'm liking the idea that she's some sort of an experiment made by taking qualities of the all the MC's from the first game. Her being related to anyone is corny imo. And sueish.

What if Shibuya herself?

i'll give a future sequel the benefit of the doubt just because it's fair, but part of what made twewy such a good game was how fresh the entire thing was. a sequel wouldn't really be able to capture that, depending on what they do with it and how closely it sticks to the original's formula (to the point where it can even be considered a sequel, maybe a spiritual one, but that doesn't seem to be the case). to be frank, it didn't really need a sequel, and might have been better off as a stand-alone game.

I believe the reason she has Mr. Mew is because Shiki went on to own a successful business, and maybe Mr. Mew is the mascot of her company and they produce plushies of him now?

I have seen other people say this too, but I honestly didn't see any of those theories till after I thought of this :P

Perhaps they may further elaborate on the composer's roles and other secrets in the game we haven't known about.

Please no children of characters. ;A; That's never been an appealing direction for any story xD

My ideal game is it being a new cast with some awesome cameos from the original cast (aged up only few months to a few years) with some awesome Another Day action with another universe or KH!Shibuya xD

And that this girl is a well-written character, and the game is well-written overall. The great thing about TWEWY was how it didn't take itself so seriously, and everything felt natural.

I just wonder are they gonna use the same battle system or add something new? I wonder if we get any new mini games or new places to explore? I mean Tin Pin is great but I'd like a bit more. Also some puzzles would be good.

So, this theory might sound ridiculous, but I wonder if she might be an Angel. After all, the original game did hint at the Higher Plane in a possible sequel. Maybe she looks like the main characters because they're her charges? IDK, She does look sort of angelic, and Shibuya somehow seems... Brighter in this picture.

Also, I highly suspect she's connected to the Composer. If there's a new powerful person in town, there's no way Shibuya's Supervisor wouldn't know it. Maybe she was even the Partner of the Composer or related to him. Hmm...

I also like some peoples' idea that she's somehow Shibuya itself. Either way, I hope this sequel sheds more light on other aspects of the Game, the Composer, Angels, the HP, and the other UGs.

All this discussion about her being a special being (which I'm guilty of myself) then watch when it turns out that she's just a normal human and her design is purely aesthetic. XD

I just wonder what she's going to be like. (Like everyone.) She might be like Ed from cowboy Bebop..crazy and awesome. Or atleast that's what I think.

Also Sign is't s been a few months. Fallen Angels are like criminals in TWEWY. They could not all be like Mr. H.

And then it's revealed the only reason Mr. Mew would fight is because the head Angel is actually...

I entered the parallel world and contacted the
Composer. Unexpectedly, he seemed to be enjoying
his stay. In fact, the reason he had not contacted
me was because he was too busy playing Tin Pin.
I made him promise to meet me at the Shibuya River.
In the meantime, I need to hide out so as not to
meet myself in this world.

Usually, Angels existing as multiple entities within
the same world poses little problem. However, mine is
a somewhat...special case.

You see, I am the Fallen Angel who taught Minamimoto
how to refine Taboo Noise.

Minamimoto owes his successful rebirth to the
corrections I made to his flawed Taboo refinery sigil.

I must hide in Pork City for fear that my alternate
self in this world may report me on sight.

Minamimoto is my backup plan to ensure Shibuya's
survival. If the Composer does not change his mind,
this unique city will be lost.

I must prevent that at any cost.

Thus, I've deemed it necessary to cross the
boundaries Angels usually respect. I happily accept
the stigma of Fallen Angel for this cause.

Well then. It's about time to meet him...

After calling the Composer and hearing his cheery

Hmm, her hand's over her mouth. I wonder if anyone thinks her voice could be her 'ticket' to play the Reapers Game. (Assuming she's a player at all XD)

Looks to me like it could be DLC. The 'New 7 Days' thing fits in with the gap between the end of Neku's third game and when he properly meets the gang in the RG. Character might be Shiki's sister or a friend of her's or something, plus if she fights with the doll, it'd be easier to recycle animations and movesets.

My first reaction was to squeal mentally, but like Chaser I'm a bit wary now.

I'll wait for TGS, of for some new kind of info from SE before releasing my inner TWEWY fan girl.

And for those who have the theory that's the girl could be the daugter of Neku/Shiki for example, for god's sake, Neku just got the real meaning of friendship at the end of the game, he's not going to have children any time soon. (If any)

Plus, they would have to be in the fourties/fifties, since the girl looks seventeen-ish.

Really can't see it. And I doubt the fans want to see Neku & Co that older. In general, sequels (if it's one) tend to take place a few months/years after the original game.

After all the title of the teaser is "The World Begins with you" wich should place it (chronologically speaking) before "The World Ends With You"

Maybe it's Joshua before he became what he is now. 8D (After all, angels aren't suposed to have genders, he could have taken whatever apparence he wanted after his death. I'm kidding, but that would be fun.

Though, there's the Mr Mew in the picture, hm. He's slightly different though.

Maybe Shiki saw one like this and used it as a model for her own Mr Mew, or it may be a prequel that takes place shortly before TWEWY, and the girl is a friend of Shiki.

Concerning the idea that this takes place years after the original, with the protagonists probably having their own businesses in Shibuya, a cameo with them as the shop owners would be great. They could also be the new brands, like Neku being 'Phones and Shiki's Mr. Mew.

Of course, this is all hypothetical, but it's fun to speculate. :>

So, I thought of something today. You know how in KH: 3D there are scenes of Neku and Shiki, and Beat and Rhyme fighting with their Partners? Well... the Partners are all in the same Plane in that game. It's probably nothing, but do you think it might mean something? I mean, with that and the "fighting on the same screen" thing in Solo Remix... Do you think that's hinting that the next game won't have dual screens?

Personally, I sort of hope not. I love the original TWEWY's system, and think a sequel should keep its core traits, but I could understand it if they didn't do that. But what do you all think? Maybe all of this is saying the new game won't be for a DS system, but rather something like the IOS again?

I don't think so. I think they will go back to dual screen combat (assuming that the game will be on 3DS). I'd be shocked to see it on anything but the 3DS.

TWEWY is one game that would look awesome on the 3DS, that is, if they use the original's art style. Although the original is loveable because of the art direction it took, I'm not having a hard time seeing 3D renders on some small scenes.

I think if it is on 3DS, it will be dual screen combat. Still, I think it could be on the Wii or the Wii U. I think one of the things that made TWEWY so great is that it really utilized the features of the DS (touch screen, dual screens, etc.). If it was moved to a different console, it could still utilize its features better than most third party developers (motion sensing, new controller, or even attachments like wii zapper, wii wheel, and wii balances board, etc.). As long as it is fresh and utilizes the console well, I will be happy. For Wii U, they could use the new controller for the partner and the main screen for the main character.

Also, I've been wondering about Amalgam/Ms. TWEWY's entry fee, and it occurred to me. What if her the thing that is most important to her is her individuality, so that is her entry fee? Thus, she is replaced with a part of a lot of other past contestants to make up for her lack of individuality. Just a theory.
