As many of you are already aware, h.a.n.d. is the company well known for having developed Square Enix's Chocobo series as well as Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, based in Sapporo. During the final planning stages for Days, Hiroyuki Ito (Lead Planner: Missions) and Yasuhiro Sato (Lead Planner: Battles) had to take many long trips to Sapporo in order to work on the project. Ito in particular notes that he basically lived in a hotel for two months and lived on canned food for the entire time as his daily commute to and from the hotel and the h.a.n.d. building only led him past convenience stores.

In times of difficulty, Sato would always remember one significant moment that occurred during one of his visits. If you've played 358/2 Days, you've probably noticed that Roxas lifts both legs when he jumps. One of the planners at h.a.n.d., having noticed this, tried to imitate Roxas one day on a snow-covered road, jumping into the air and yelling "Roxas jump!" Upon doing so, he ended up tearing right through the seat of his pants!
