Not to be confused with the Journal in Riku's form, this Data Riku is a figure from the past, appearing before Sora to show him a memory of Riku's and Kairi's torment during the destructive events of Kingdom Hearts. Acting as an oracle for Sora's next adventure, he warns the Keyblade hero that the coming journey would be hard: Truths would be revealed, and the pain of it might cause Sora to sink into torment. However, Sora would be able to overcome the pain just by following his heart. He just needs to know it himself, and that is what Data Riku is here for. Like so many figures in Castle Oblivion, Data Riku fades away, satisfied that he has played his part. |
