Given a chance to become a real boy, this wooden puppet often finds himself getting into trouble, even more so now with the absence of Jiminy Cricket, who is his conscience. He is glad to be reunited with Geppetto within Monstro, but feels guilty for getting his father there in the first place, and thus lies and sneaks away in the hopes of finding a way out of the whale without his father worrying. His rebellious nature hides a heart filled with good intentions, so perhaps he does not need Jiminy anymore after all. |
