Don't be fooled by her sweet face! Ariel's got a burning passion underneath all of that beauty. Only sixteen years old, this mermaid longs to venture up on the surface, a forbidden world of which her father, King Triton, will not allow. In order to pass her time, Ariel will spend her days looking for treasure near shipwrecks. Still, this cannot mask her yearning to explore the unknown lands above her. When first introduced to the series in Kingdom Hearts, Ariel was amazed with the new comers (ala: Sora, Donald, and Goofy), the explorers from "a far away ocean". After fighting alongside the trio, Ariel considers them her friends and forgives Sora for lying to her about his origins. She tells herself that she will find ways to explore other worlds just as Sora had. When Sora enters the Atlantica from his memories, he comes across a distressed Ariel. She appears to be concealing something of importance, and thus their adventure begins. Ariel's kind and gentle heart shines as her concern for a lost friend becomes prominent. Yet, her young and naïve nature lands her into serious trouble with a nasty sea witch. In this world Ariel aids Sora as a card. When called upon, she drills into opponents with no fear! |
